  1. We've been in negotiations for over a decade on this topic. And we'll continue to discuss for years to come. She countered, once, with the idea of me living in Buffalo for one year (without her - she doesn't like cold weather) to get it out of my system. I stood firm and shot that notion down....Nothing like a little piece of football heaven (walk up property to Ralph Wilson Stadium).
  2. We were all frustrated, I was irate with his decision making. His loss due to injury very much hurt the Bills last season (not the loss of his bone headed penalties - but I do agree, at times his play and mental lapses in judgment offset each other). A healthy Aaron Williams and he being a a good leader will help the Bills defense this year. I guess I'm envisioning a player that really had time for quality soul searching.....He'll appreciate the game and his role more. Not only will Ed Reed help, I'm sure Fred Jackson had A. Williams over to the house a plenty this off season. He can finally fill Fred Jackon's role.
  3. The posters here.....You guys are fortunate to be complaining about traffic. If I'm lucky, I make it to one game a year. That one game, is ALWAYS a great time, I enjoy the entire day. Tailgating starts at 8 in the morning and doesn't stop until well after the game. I'm for an OP stadium. I love the throwback feel. It's one of the last remaining "Non-Sellouts" to the corporate everything NFL. Traveling from the New Orleans area doesn't allow for season tickets! But my retirement plan will hopefully include a second residence....I'll be the exact opposite of the standard "snow bird", I'll travel north for football season!
  4. Yes! Bills making the playoffs would help greatly....Because Sammy as a kid, playing with the Bills on Madden is only going to keep him in Buffalo for so long. We all know Mr. Pegula will open an oil field for Sammy.
  5. Sammy is destined for "great" things. I really hope, at the end of his career, he's known as a Buffalo Bill. That said, he doesn't get the respect, nor the recognition he would receive from a large market (or a team with a proven QB). We all hope, Tyrod will be his Jim Kelly....If not, Sammy will move on to a bigger stage.
  6. They're meaningless, but for whatever reason, it does feel better to be ranked in the top half of the league. Mainly, it validates the positive vibes at OBD and it's not just, "drinking the koolaid." To some extent anyway.
  7. Chicago media was not happy with the release of Slaussen. If the Bills land him, we all of a sudden have stability on the right side of the line.
  8. Buffalo offers a relic, a link to the past. There isn't much left from the throwback days and Buffalo provides a sense of nostalgia on Sunday afternoons. I'm glad to hear rumblings of an OP site.....Keep it that way!
  9. I will be shocked if he doesn't play with restraint. Everything says composure (time to heal, reflect, Ed Reed as a mentor, etc.). If he can play, IMO that is TBD, it'll be at a very high level.
  10. I'm watching the Bills vs. Carolina Panthers game from 2013. The game is tied 14-14, Carolina's ball, 3rd and 12 (Panther's end). Cam Newton overthrew his intended WR by a great deal, and Aaron Williams (with all of his emotion) drilled the WR further out of bounds (blatant unnecessary roughness). The penalty allowed the Panthers to keep the ball. I bring it up to highlight his intensity for the game. We've seen it at other times (Patriots week 2, last season). And on occasion, it has hurt the Bills. I hope he plays with that same emotion, but with a mature approach. That'll also mean he's healthy and playing! I see him as the leader of our defense. He will be the "Ed Reed" of this year's team and will tie it all together (physically and mentally). (Side note: Mario was a beast.)
  11. During Brady's suspension, is he allowed to practice with the team and be involved with the team at their facilities? It would be even better if he is completely removed for four weeks (no meetings, communication, etc.).
  12. The Bills could be 5-0! Almost stole the Patriots game and if Bradham makes the tackle against Jennings last week, who knows? Bottom line, they're 3-2 in a conference that has plenty of traditional playoff teams that have worse records than the Bills. They're in the middle of it all with a team that is hopefully getting healthy.
  13. Just a question, does a WR "bust" impact a game in a positive way? Just bad luck to start. It is frustrating that two players that we've committed so much towards are not playing (McCoy, Watkins), but that's football sometimes. Keep going and it'll even out. We've already seen what happens when you rush an injury. Let's be content that the Bills are 3-2. We have a legitimate shot to make amends next week against a good football team. If they win, the attitude towards the team (here and within the league) returns to where it was after the Colts and Dolphins games.
  14. I take back what I said, my expectations aren't down....I was having a moment! Go Bills!
  15. At least my expectations have been lowered. They were dangerously high after the first 3 weeks. Good to know they have been effectively crushed in the matter of 8 days.
  16. I watched it tape delayed. Ever since I was 11, over two decades later, they continue to lose when watched this way.
  17. That's what she said.
  18. Just the way they drew it up.
  19. For a team that has nearly never won in Tuscaloosa, Ole Miss looks great. After watching Beau Wallace play QB as of years late, Chad Kelly is absolutely fun to watch and a great improvement.
  20. Bills signed Marcel Dareus to a six-year, $108 million extension, per source. Per Adam Schefter.
  21. They will. Monday morning will definitely bring up this throw. It's in line with the anti-EJ coverage.
