  1. How are they even comparable? Byrd wanted nothing to do with the Bills, milked the organization with his plantar fasciitis (guess how many games he's missed with the Saints), and presumably didn't care. Tyrod is committed to the game, the organization, and his teammates. Big deal, if he doesn't want to talk to the media...When all they (TBN) do is rip on the organization, players, etc....Taylor may be done in Buffalo after giving everything he had.....Good for him for not being available to Jerry Sullivan and company.
  2. I think both QBs will be throwing the ball around - Fitz and EJ want to showcase whatever they can (assuming the play calling is in line with a passing day), it'll be more of pro bowl game with little defense. I got screwed in fantasy football (my QBs were Carr and Mariota)....I'm in first place, championship game. Why we're playing the championship game in week 17, I have no idea. There's not much available for a week 17 QB pickup. Thus, EJ it is. I now have a vested interest in the game. I'm hoping for a good performance from EJ and no injuries.
  3. Well, Murphy does work for the Bills. If you dont want to hear a positive spin, then don't listen. Guys like Sully....Not so much. They take it personally and want to be in the story line. Nothing but entitled garbage is ever written. So yeah, it's more frustrating (to me), when you look at the dynamics of who is reporting and for who they are employed by.
  4. It's more frustrating that a local writer will take any opportunity to attack the team and organization. The local media wonders why they aren't provided with the National headlines before the big reporting agencies (ESPN, etc).....It's because they're nothing but a collective group that wants to be apart of the story (vice reporting it) and have a strong sense of entitlement. Hence, I choose not to read their work.
  5. No, his outdated, historically bad defense got him fired. That and they can say, we fired a coach with a losing record....Vice a coach with a non-losing record.
  6. I like Taylor. I hope he stays. But all they're doing is keeping options open.
  7. Thank you. Why can't people understand this?
  8. I hate uninspired play and players that just don't care.
  9. I told my wife yesterday that I'm taking a year off. After the season, I'm packing all of my Bills gear up, placing in a box, and I'm not watching next year. It's a trial period. If I like it, I won't come back. Too many Sundays have been lost. After I told her that, she asked when I was going to renew the Sunday Ticket....She didn't even flinch. It's frustrating, but one year....It's going to pay off.
  10. Much respect Bobby for you and the Army. It's tough to tell from "text", but it's all a light hearted discussion. I hope the brownies are good!
  11. This is all said with a smile on my face, so take it for what it's worth. Listen. You are not the only guy on this board that serves or has served in a combat zone. I can assess what branch you're in (or were in) based on the nature of the culture described (i.e., senior leadership allowing a company commander to return in the middle of a deployment for a child birth). I'm guessing company commander based on "MAJBobby" and the reference to service in Iraq. Maybe there were extenuating circumstances and it may have been necessary for your return, but please stop with the use of service to make a freaking point. You have no idea what I do for a living, but I certainly wouldn't have to call you Sir....But I will call you Bobby. You're point to "logic" doesn't make sense. We were comparing types of employees (amount of investment, capability to be replaced) and you come back with a reference to a deployment. How does that strengthen your position, Bobby? We can agree on the following....Go Bills. Just because I'm curious, are you Army? Just friendly service banter, I respect all of them.
  12. Actually, that makes little sense and is simple logic. An NFL player has MUCH more invested into their employment by the employer and that player offers a very unique skillset. That guy making $20 an hour does not go through the same level of scrutiny prior to hiring and can be easily replaced.
  13. 1. I'm not worked up. 2. Absolutely, it is a job. A very high paying job. And with a job, comes business decisions. The ownership may or may not have an issue with his absence (we will never truly know)....But his entire history will be reviewed when it's time to make the tough decisions.
  14. That's great, that "you" don't have a problem with it. You're not compensating the players and you can't compare a "normal" job to a professional athlete's. I'd be careful before labeling a profession as a "horrible" place to work if unable to see the birth of a child....I can think of a few that are anything but.
  15. It's not from his point of view, it's from the ownership's. Money is being paid to him, a very large amount. It's his responsibility to meet his professional commitment. He chose this profession.
  16. I hope O'leary has a huge day. Maybe that'll motivate Clay. I think he should play.....Various professions, it is what it is.....Sometimes you miss out on things like the birth of your child. A multi-million dollar athlete, IMO, should play.
  17. In anything, it's better when the opponent is degraded. The Bills need to win. It's not about being scared, its that the Bills have a better chance to win without Carr playing.
  18. I used to live in Cantonment (until 2013)!
  19. You ask that question like it matters if he watches the games on TV or at the stadium. What's your point?
