I lived there for awhile, it doesn’t suck. It offers much. Sure, there’s draw backs just like any other city. That said, the NFL wouldn’t select it as a Super Bowl city over and over if it sucked.

This is the closest team in the NFL

Maybe. But guys like Aaron Rodgers come off as a complete d&*k. Josh builds his teammates up without berating them if they make a mistake. The entire roster is that way. Look at the body language of the Ravens after they screwed up last night, it’s all whoa is me, we’re going to lose. The Bills keep their composure and keep on grinding. Guys know their jobs and do exactly what is coached within them. I.e., Trent Murphy played a terrific game after barely seeing the field all season. His bell rang and he answered. It’s really easy to see and that’s how they find a way. -
Here’s a thought. The Bills have knocked off two legitimate teams in the playoffs and are now awaiting tomorrow’s game to see who they play in the AFC Championship game. Two games, two hard fought wins. The Chiefs haven’t even played a down yet. Momentum is big, especially with an extra day off going into next week’s game. Tonight, it feels so good. Go Bills!

Emotional attachment to Bills - perspective welcomed

Okay, change your name to mine, a couple of small points, and you’re expressing my life, my story. Also 39, admittedly, I love the Bills much more than somebody should. But I do. And frankly, I don’t care what the optics are to others. This year is different and people are noticing. As of late, I have friends from all over the country, saying, “Hey, because of you, I’m a Bills fan for the rest of the season. I want them to win it....For you.” -
Roberts inactive this week is my prediction...
KellyToTasker replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not saying I agree that he will bench Roberts. But he has benched our RBs in the past (Singletary and Moss for long stretches in a game due to fumbling). McDermott demands reliability. -
The NFL needs to hit the pause button. They largely went unscathed during the regular season. View it as getting across a hurdle, the closing of one chapter in the 20-21 year. Just pause, re-evaluate, and make needed adjustments to see us through the Super Bowl. At this rate (by staying the course), the eventual champion will have a huge asterisk because they played a team without a key player in the Super Bowl. The Titans were catered to, the Browns are getting hosed.

This. And you’re not going to dominate in today’s NFL, long term, with that style of QB. If the Dolphins had Herbert, I’d be concerned. Him and Allen going at it for years would’ve been Kelly-Marino. That’s not happening with Tua. He’s a game manager, just like Tyrod, and we know exactly what that produces. You might make the playoffs, you might be competitive, but you’re not winning the Super Bowl (barring some fluke set of circumstances).

No, I wouldn’t assume. It’s blatant that his arm is weak. I’ve watched him play well before he was drafted by the Dolphins. The defenses do not need to cover all parts of the field against him, because he can’t hit all parts. There is little margin for error when you lack arm strength. If he makes a late read and actually attempts to throw the ball (which he’s not doing, look at his YPA), it’s getting picked. There’s no argument here.

Lack of arm strength. Go way back to the first comments. Which is what the article says, lack of arm strength. Which is what I said. You offered comments suggesting arm strength is not a concern. He’s throwing for 90 yards in a game and getting yanked. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. The Dolphins could’ve drafted Curtis Painter and you would be proclaiming him as the next Dan Marino (could never get by Kelly). Tua has the reputation of a great teammate. He’ll make a terrific coach someday.

That’s the thing. Herbert has not had the issues of Tua, not even close. Herbert’s first game nearly knocked off the Chiefs. He wasn’t named the starter until minutes before the game, only because a doctor punctured the lung of Tyrod Taylor. Growth spurts as in...Physical Growth. Not performance growth. Tua isn’t getting taller, he’s not growing into a bigger quarterback. 🤷🏻♂️ Take a few minutes and read “one” article discussing Herbert and Tua IRT the draft. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/justin-herbert-vs-tua-tagovailoa-who-has-better-accuracy-arm-strength-and-scrambling-ability/amp/

Yeah, I’m not describing his ability to process. Watch him play, read professional takes on him. It’s all on the weaker end of arm strength. His positives as a QB coming out of Bama had NOTHING to do with arm strength. He’s a fully grown man, there’s no more growth spurts coming, it’s not going to change. His noodle arm is here, for good. Saying anything else is denial. By the way. His strength coming out was the ability to process the field. UH OH. He’s even having trouble with that AND he doesn’t have the arm strength to mask his late reads. If it could be done over, the Dolphins take Herbert all day (and you would too, Herbert is actually good).

The College game and the NFL are completely different in speed. You asked where the week arm rhetoric is coming from, I told you. What, he had 20 pass attempts the other night for 90+ yards? Why do you think that is? His ball takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get anywhere. There’s a difference in lofting a ball 50 yards down the field and being able to drive the ball to all levels of the field/through the defense. He is absolutely limited in the number of throws that he can make. He knows it. The defenses know it.

Week 16 Postgame Thread Bills @ Pats*

My boss lives in NH and is also a Patriots fan. I am certainly NOT bringing it up. I’ll be humble and say it was a well contested game, all the while knowing it was a huge beat down. 20 years of frustration, bottled up into one game. Side note: The Bills hit hard and were pissed off last night. Keep it up.
