Kyle Orton was just as bad as the offensive line today. Horrible turnovers. Inexcusable sacks.

Official Hackett can't target Sammy thread
Dragonborn10 replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Weren't a significant number of his catche in college bubble screens? I don't recall a single one to him yet (may have missed one in the Detroit game). Rib injury has been a non issue for two or three weeks now. -
Which Bills units, players let team down most versus Pats?
Dragonborn10 replied to mdk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't be serious? INT, fumble, 10 yard sack from a LB that ran straight at him. Orton sucks. -
Been calling for this for two weeks. Now take step two and trade for a guard or sign Incognito.

Exactly. Why not burn a challenge instead of using the TO to decide? Makes no sense. If you win the challenge you get it back. If you lose it you still have another. Maybe in the first half you burn the time out to check the replay. But not in the second half. There will only be a few opportunities to challenge by then.

Hitting on All Cylinders But 2 !!
Dragonborn10 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are holes. CJ can't see them. He never has and never will. -
Even Schwartz knows he is a liability in coverage. Bills have a better chance of winning if he is not on the field much. I would rather the Patriots be forced to throw it. They should not be able to beat us deep. The Bills three top DBs are all better then every one of their WR's. Brady is a sitting duck back there. Play man to man. Normally I would say blitz Brady up the middle, but this week I would drop 7 and rush four. In fact Spikes' best use may be to blitz up the middle.

What do the Bills do for a fix at guard now?
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he was supposed to play RT not LT -
I believe Whaley will trade for a guard

Wilfork and his bum Achilles may be the best thing to happen to the interior line all year. Maybe they have just faced some elite talent and they are not as bad as we think... -
Spikes has rib injury per WGR
Dragonborn10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spikes scares me this game. I would be worried about a personal foul and as others have said trying to cover a RB or TE. The Bills want them in a spread formation. Tehy don't have the skill guys to beat the DB'sa nd their line won't hold up. Only damage they can do is matchup issues and Spikes/Searcy would be the prime targets. -
Golden Tate's proclamation
Dragonborn10 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree. Add the ND factor and he is easy to dislike. -
If Williams is healthy enough to play, which I doubt, has Richardson done enough to move to RG and send Pears to the bench? Hard to believe Urbik would not be better than Pears at this point. I posted before I would rather just put Williams on IR and sign another player. I also posted Bills should trade Hughes for Boone but I will take that back. Even though there is little chance Hughes comes back next year he is playing great football right now. Did anyone see any Hairston snaps at RG? Was he really that bad?

Don't get your hopes up...
Dragonborn10 replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you can't get your hopes up what is the point of being a fan? It is worth the risk of getting your heart torn out. Not this time though. It is going to be a beat down. All the frustration of 14 years is going to be channelled right through the defensive line and the middle of their offensive line. The stadium will cheer the loudest when Garoppolo starts taking practice reps in the fourth quarter just like Strock when the Bills stopped Marino's TD streak. http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1987-11-30/sports/8702080906_1_marino-isn-t-james-pruitt-streak -
Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with the win now Orton philosophy. But to say EJ didn't stand in the pocket and deliver throws is inaccurate. And to criticize his decision making is suspect too, espeically when it was Orton who served up the pick six. EJ simply couldn't hit wide open guys when he made the correct read. Nobody knows if that can get better. The consensus on this board is that it can not and I would have to believe that is true as well. Loosk like we can all agree Pears sucks at guard though!
-
EJ stood in the pocket and took plenty of shots while delivering the ball. And Orton's throw to Watkins was wildly inaccurate. But other than that you are right. Orton looks like HOF material to me. Where Orton deserves credit is apparently he changed the two point conversion from a throw to a run. That takes guts'/experience in that situation.

Did The Patriots Show Their Hand Against The Bengals?
Dragonborn10 replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only way to stop Brady is pressure up the middle. Need a fair amount of D line stunts this week. Watch for a reverse or two with how well the Bills are flowing to the Ball. Mario and Hughes need to stay home. -
You were correct in your assessment that TE and OG were and still are an issue. They may be the worst in the NFL and certainly bottom 5. LB was a need even before Kiko got hurt. Unfortunately next year they probably need to draft DE first and then look for a guard later.
-
The line is awful. Trick plays usually require time to develop. That is a recipe for disaster. The TE's are truly awful. Almost every team in the league is running out of the spread. Just think if a team lined up with a FB and two TE's. The Bills would counter with their best run stopping LB in Spikes. The spread forces the defense to use smaller guys. If the line was better and CJ could see a hole they would be able to run just fine. Marshawn runs just fine out of the pistol and shot gun.

Please Pay Jerry Hughes and Marcell Dareus
Dragonborn10 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They aren't paying the QB and WR's any real money. There is plenty of cap space for Dareus, Glenn, and Hughes. And no first round pick to pay next year. I would pay Darues and Glenn now. Make Hughes perform at DE for a full year.
