Case turned down a chance to interview with Cleveland last year instead of taking the last job available. I would say different not strange. Teams seem now willing to wait for the best team's coordinators. Also no college coaches seem to be in the mix this year. Not sure why Brian Kelly is not getting interviewed.

Tons of people wanted Pettine for HC instead of Marrone. Rex taught Pettine everything he knows. Our defense would be sick with a Rex/Schwartz mind meld. I've said multiple times - double down and get a defensive HC and then get a great OC. Rex, Bowles, or Quinn would be my choices. I want no part of Case or Hamilton. If they go offensive mined then swing for the fences and get Shanahan with Bevell as the fall back option.

Winston may have first round talent but he has 7th round issues. Mariota is a great college QB who will be a bigger bust than RGIII and Tebow. Watch the games. He throws three passes. A bubble screen, a ten yard in, and a seam fly pattern. That is it. There will be a QB in the second round or later that will have a much better chance of being a successful pro than those two. Go get Cutler and stop worrying about QB for the next three years.

He kept Mike Smith two seasons too long. Smith was one of worst coaches in NFL. Dont want him having any say in next HC. Defense sucks,signed old vets like Abraham and Jackson. No thank you.

The only player that can not be replaced is Dareus.

Anyone know his status? Did he ever have surgery? Most thought he was best guard in camp though that is not saying much. If healthy that might be one less hole to fill in FA and draft even after Pears is not brought back.

It was a horrible business decision even if he thought RW was going to live. He should have at worst made it a 4million full pay if Marrone is fired due to ownership change. I would rather have Quinn but I will take Bevell. The Seahawks manufacture offense better than any team in the league with limited personnel. Lynch is a superstar but their line has been ravaged by injury, Wilson is good but not great, and their WR group may be one of the worst in the league. I would love this hire.

A HC does not have time to develop a QB. The OC and QB coach can do that. Hire Bowles, Quinn or promote Schwartz and then get a young OC that can meld the college and pro game.

Todd Bowles or Dan Quinn Just say no to Gase

Because I want the offensive guy to have no other responsibilities. Further, how can anyone adequately evaluate Gase or McDaniels? Charlie Weis was a genius with Tom Brady and a complete failure ever since. There is no way to separate them from their HOF QB's. Do you think Peyton even listens to anything Gase says? Marrone was supposedly an offensive guru and the offense is as bad as it has been since Losman was at QB. Bring in a young and upcoming DC and get a seasoned OC. And to make my point even further, 90% of this board would have gladly traded Marrone for Pettine last year. Bowles and Quinn are directing supreme defenses in the toughest division in football. Schwartz will not get a HC job. The best he can do is leave for another DC job which the Bills could block if they wanted.
