  1. Yes this would be a great signing. Dareus isn't up until next year. Get Hughes done now. Let everyone else walk except maybe Searcy. But there will be other safety options. Landry is already on the market.
  2. I never meant him as a replacement for Hughes. Come on that is just dumb. Orakpo or JPP would be the only good replacements for Hughes. If they let go of Lawson and Rivers there is going to be depth issues at strong side LB. I don't see him as a DE in this league. But as a situational passer, part time strong side LB I think he could make a team. And you know there are teams that have just decided not to give this guy a chance. So it is not fair to say 32 teams don't think he can play. 30 teams may not want the headache. But it's time to move on to a new topic...
  3. 1. Jordan Cameron 2. Juluis Thomas Give either lots of money. Chandler is below average but serviceable. I think they will keep an extra OT and play him at TE in a three tackle formation like the Pats did.
  4. Not just a PR stunt. I thought he played well enough in preseason to make a team. Rams were deep at DE. He projects better as a strong side LB anyways. Many more areas to worry about on this team than LB but either Lawson or Rivers are likely to be cut - maybe both.
  5. I thought he did fine for the Rams. He might be a good fit as back-up strong side LB, pass rusher, and part time special teams guy. Not saying he is a difference maker but I thought he did enough in pre-season last year to get another camp invite somewhere. Could be the anti-Incognito signing...
  6. I think the Packers played poorly more than the Bills played well. If Nelson catches the 98 yard perfectly placed TD pass, the Bills lose that game by two touchdowns.
  7. Jamarcus Russell We do not need to read or watch anything Mayock or any of these morons say. They don't know any more than we do.
  8. We need another guard and a RB. Dixon might be the tough runner they need. CJ, Fred, and Brown are all below average to awful. Fred is going to drop off the cliff very soon. Wouldn't be surprised if he is a trainging camp cut - though I would not be surprised if he is the Game 1 starter as you can't count this guy out. They need to re-sign Searcy at a reasonable deal and play him in the box.
  9. It's EJ and a rookie. QB Ryan Lindley ARI 26 R QB T.J. Yates ATL 28 QB Tyrod Taylor BAL 26 QB Joe Webb CAR 29 QB Jimmy Clausen CHI 28 QB Jason Campbell CIN 34 QB Brian Hoyer CLE 30 QB Kellen Moore DET 26 R QB Dan Orlovsky DET 32 QB Matt Flynn GB 30 QB Scott Tolzien GB 28 QB Ryan Mallett HOU 27 QB Matt Hasselbeck IND 40 QB Matt Moore MIA 31 QB Christian Ponder MIN 27 QB Michael Vick NYJ 35 QB Mark Sanchez PHI 29 QB Tarvaris Jackson SEA 32 QB Terrelle Pryor SEA 26 QB Blaine Gabbert SF 26 QB Josh Johnson SF 29 QB Austin Davis STL 26 R QB Shaun Hill STL 35 QB Jake Locker TEN 27 QB Colt McCoy Not one of these guys is any better than EJ. I would not be shocked that one of them is signed. Sam Bradford is the only non Jay Cutler QB I would trade for. Cutler is staying in Chicago. Bradford isn't a FA. He may be cut but as of now he is still a Ram with another year on his contract.
  10. As with any of these second chance guys it is all about if they can play or not... Randy Moss and AP - they are superstars who will get many chances. Incognito is a former probowl player that may still be able to play. Ray Rice was not any good before he got suspended.
  11. The kid is a good kid by all accounts. But a huge percentage of his throws were bubble screens. Think RG3 but not as fast. He will be awful in the NFL. For every Russell Wilson there are a 100 short read option QB's that never make it in the NFL. I hate Winston but other than character he has all the physical tools you want in a QB. He is a throwback to a Kelly or Roethlesberger type. He is a big guy, big arm, and rises to the moment and just wins.
  12. So for the people that picked Kelly how do you pick him over Brady Montana Aikman or even Bradshaw? He is the Bills greatest but he is not even top 15. No Marino, Young, Aikman, or Manning???
  13. I'm still stating this is bull ****. How many beer commercials were there on Sunday? How many millions of dollars were spent on alcohol Sunday? The policy is bull ****. A DUI is not the same as drinking a few beers/drinks. I have no idea if Gordon is a horrible person or not but in this case the punishment does not fit the crime. And not to beat a dead horse, this is the same commissioner that was going to give a two game suspension to a player that actually beat a woman to the point she needed to be dragged from an elevator. If I was Gordon I would sue.
  14. The Patriots start and end with Brady. Belichick is nothing without Brady. Belichick was nearly beaten by a foot locker employee and the worst WR group in the NFL. Only Pete Carroll prevented the Seahawks from winning. And Brady was not flawless but none the less brilliant. No more so than on 2nd and 18 when he stepped up in the pocket and hit his WR over the middle.
  15. Marrone is not that good. Bowles will do well. I posted I wanted Bowles from day one and wanted him when Marrone was hired. He and Rex are the two best HC hires this offseason.
  16. The DB situation is fine. This team needs Hughes, a TE, a guard, and a RB in FA. The draft another TE, DB, two QB's, and a DE. Then bring back Spikes. I volunteer to pack for CJ.
  17. Levy was outcoached in all of the SuperBowls. But honestly it is hard to blame the coaches. Everyone's favorite Talley played one of the worst SuperBowl games ever. He was awful. And our HOF QB's ego could not be kept in check. They should have run the ball 40 times for over 200 yards against that NY defense.
  18. Not really. A meniscus can't heal itself and only gets worse with another injury. Partial or full tear doesn't much matter. They still cut out the torn part. They don't sew the tear back together as there is no blood supply to the tissue to make a scar.
  19. Simple - just look and see other security footage and see if he goes into the bathroom after getting the balls each game. That is enough evidence of a pattern of wrongdoing.
  20. Cut or not re-signed: Pears, Spiller, Smith, Rivers, Spikes ( I want him back though) Lawson and Fred Jackson will be training camp cuts Gay will be around for camp and I think he probably makes the team One of the two will not survive - Urbik or Williams. If Williams is healthy he stays
  21. The Bills have never recovered from trading Peters. He was our Rod Smith. A potential HOF player that they signed as an UDFA. Good teams don't let those players go.
  22. Hughes and Searcy are much more important pieces. I would like Spikes back too. For the record, I think Searcy is marginal to bad in coverage but significantly better than he was a couple years ago. But I think he could be a terror in Ryan's defense. Ryan will bring him from all angles and spots to pressure the line of scrimmage.
  23. Very interesting read. I also look at it as another reason the Bills need a retractable roof. The weather long ago stopped being an advantage for Buffalo and this article suggests it hurts them more than it helps. At least with regard to this one statistic.
