If this happens then I would seriously question the judegment of Rex/Roman. Why would you cut a QB that you have not seen live even in a practice. Everyone hated the OC last year. Orton sucked in last years offense too. McCown sucked last year and most oh his career too. The offensive line was a disaster. Fred is old and broken down. CJ sucked again. A new HC/OC can make a judgement on EJ never seeing him in a practice with no financial reason to cut him???? Cutting EJ would be just plain stupid unless they trade for Bradford. As others have said I think this is just BS.

CJ is a track athlete. He is not a running back. He can not run in traffic. He doesn't break tackles and lacks the vision to see the holes. He is fast but not quick. He has no straight line power and can't block anyone. He is a one trick pony that gets winded. The ship sailed on CJ last year when they tried to get Hyde. Fred is done too. They will draft a RB in the top four rounds - maybe three since TE pool is awful.

Mannion had good numbers with an OSU team that had no running game, a great WR, and no offensive line last year., OSU ran better this year and his WR's were not nearly as good. He can make all the throws. He has size. He is a pocket passer. He will be in the league for a while. Just don't know if his release and decision making is good enough top be a good to great player.

Biggest play of the year was Sammy Watkins miracle catch against Detroit. If he drops that ball Orton maybe starts another game or two. After getting crushed by the Patriots again, there would have been no reason not to go back to EJ. Orton was absolutely dreadful down the stretch.
