  1. If I was DC I would play a single high safety and short small zones from the LOS to about 12 yards deep. That is how defenses stopped Fitz and Gailey. Sammy or Clay or Harvin, or Goodwin or Shady can all beat this type of defense over the top. But you still have to pass protect long enough and the QB needs to deliver an accurate medium to deep throw. Neither of which this team's QB's or O-line have proven they can do. Can the line play better? Yes. Can EJ be that guy - I think so. Will it happen? We will know by mid October.
  2. I would sign him and cut Williams after June 1st. I think he would be an upgrade to guard and maybe center. I am not sold on Wood. He was just not very good last year and it wasn't just the guys playing next to him. He was beaten one on one plenty. I would not waste a late pick on another guard. I would rather draft a pure center late or maybe sign to PS as an UDFA to develop. I would use draft picks for defensive depth at DE, ILB, S, and CB.
  3. Seattle by far. And they will add a WR in the draft most likely. Their QB is average but they will be forced to pay him like Brady and Rodgers. Then the spiral of lost talent will start.
  4. Ok guys. To be fair Tannehil played adequately down the stretch and their defense is going to be very good. A healthy Cameron probably is an upgrade over Clay. Jets also improved greatly. It is all about EJ, Cassell, and whoever is quarterback of the Jets. Pats lost a ton froma a defense that was just average. The AFC East is wide open.
  5. I believe he is still unsigned. Anyone up for using the last bit of cap space on him? At a minimum he would be the best back-up center option on the team.
  6. Now draft a QB prospect and for defensive depth at safety, LB, DE, and ILB. Add a C/G veteran after June 1st. I would probably just take BPA in each round but hope a decent safety falls to pick 50.
  7. Dude if you give Incognito a score and Marshall a meh - I do not think it means what you think it means. So agree with you. Bowles was my number 1 target.
  8. They are two of the top 5 defenders in the entire league. They deserve to get paid. Do you think Orton deserved QB money? He was grossly overpaid for what he produced. Miami will surely screw up and give big money to Tannehill. That will be their mistake. He is below average.
  9. 1. Safety - in the box type 2. Project QB 3. Big WR 4. LB 5. CB Unless a true center drops I would rather wait until the June 1st cuts to address the line again., There is plenty of youth on the team already. I would rather wait and add a veteran that is a cap casualty.
  10. Tuel will not make it much past the draft - maybe he gets an invite to the first OTA. Once the Bills draft a young project Tuel will be gone.
  11. McCoy is a massive upgrade over Spiller. Kio is overrated and didn't even play last year. The FB is a beast. Harvin is,not my favorite signing but he adds a scary element to the offense. Need abother guard another TE re-sign Spikes and draft OL, safety, and a QB flier.
  12. EJ will win the job and will be fine. There is no QB in this draft class on paper that will be any good except Winston and he has non-football issues. This is the year to trade down or even trade for picks next year. This draft class is awful and in particular at TE and QB. Get a Center/Guard, S, CB, and LB.
  13. In this case the game tape fits the pro day. He is a runner. He throws 8 yard curls. That is it. He threw a few deep posts to guys that were open bye 10 yards against the worst competition. He couldn't solve OSU's defense. He is going to be absolutely awful in the NFL.
  14. Not opposed to this but I don't think he would be much better at guard. Upgrade the other spots and we can live with him being the weak link at center or guard.
  15. Agreed but some on this board think he is a star. He is a track athlete not a RB. Spiller should go to Seattle on a one year deal. Rush for 650 yards at over 5 yards a carry and then try for another big signing bonus.
  16. I agree with you. If not he should be cut. They still need a TE or two, a LB (Spikes hopefully), and a 3rd safety. An OG is not an absolute need in terms of numbers but I would love to upgrade the OG talent pool and if possible dump Williams. FJ should restructure or Whaley shoudl go to Pegual and say would you like a RB with no legs or an OG to plow the road for McCoy....
  17. I've been banned multiple times and now awaiting the death blow. But who cares how many threads there are. I would much rather read multiple threads than one that is 25 pages long. AND NEVER USE HUMOR OR DISAGREE WITH ANYONE ON THIS BOARD!!!!!!!
  18. No sugar coating it. Miami is one safety away from being as good a defense as the Bills. Suh is a huge signing for them. Best hope is Tanneyhill reverts back to how he played pre London.
  19. Well played sir! So true! Just dress another OT. Perhaps one they spent a second round pick on last year.
  20. Glenn, Dareus, and Gillmore will eat most of that up but they are all worth the cash. Gosh it sure is nice to not have a franchise QB...
  21. Ok. But everyting I suggested still makes sense. If you are correct then they may have enough to extend Gillmore early. Does that figure count Cassell coming off the books? Is that cap space number pre or post Hughes and McCoy deals?
  22. 1. Restructure Mario 2. Cut Kyle Williams next year 3. Extend Glenn now 4. Cut Chris Williams after June 1st 5. Don't sign any more FA's and let the cap money roll over 6. Let Spiller and Searcy walk and get compensatory draft picks
