Rex and Pettine back together?
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex, Pettine, and Rob Ryan's defenses have all underperformed this year. I can't see other teams jumping up and down for Pettine to be their DC. I was not aware of the friction that others mentioned in NY. If that is true then I agree a reunion probably is not in the cards. If not Buffalo then where does Pettine land? Carolina if Mcdermott leaves? -
The only reason these guys are playing has to be that it is a home game. If I were GM or HC, they both sit. I explain it to the people that bought tickets. The game is meaningless and not worth the injury risk. I hope it is a blowout early in the second quarter, and EJ starts warming up with Hogan and Lewis. As for Miller, he shouldn't have played the last two games. Let CK play RT and Urbik play RG.

Rex will be back. Pettine looks like he is out. Rex can stop the run. Pettine can get to the QB. Thurman can't do either. How many want a reunion?

1. I'm convinced he has asthma or sarcoidosis. He can't seem to play more than three plays in a row. 2. He is just awful at pass blocking 3. He isn't a bright guy

Am I the only person that wants Sammy and TT to sit out this meaningless game????

Thanx -
What player was Rex asked about that he said overcame great obstacle last year? Cordy?

He proved again why he wins more than everybody

Oh please stop. Belichick and all of his coaches are nothing without Brady. Seattle's defensive secondary was a MASH unit. And it still took a dumb call for the Patriots to win. The only thing Belichick did was recognize the greatness of Brady after waiting five rounds to pick him and have the guts to keep Bledsoe on the bench. -
SI.com: Bills a possible landing spot for Chip?
Dragonborn10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
USC, LSU, and Georgia are regretting making quick decisions. I could still see the boosters at LSU push for Kelly and get rid of Les Miles. -
All well and good until you see the kid from Nebraska ejected for making perfect tackle in a Bowl game. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=nebraska+bowl+game+ejection&view=detail&mid=7F68C809A484713925727F68C809A48471392572&FORM=VIRE2 I bet even the UCLA coach shows this tackle during Spring ball as one of the better examples of proper tackling technique.

Do Steelers fans BILL-ieve that we can beat the Jets?

Bills should beat the Jets with a bunch of back-ups for payback - Jan 2nd 2005. -
Bills' 2016 Non-Division Opponents Finalized
Dragonborn10 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills and all other 3rd place teams are locked in. Baltimore, St. Louis, Seattle, Oakland, Cincinnati, and the AFC East. Every game will be difficult even Baltimore with a presumably healthy Flacco. Preseason may only be favored against Miami. -
No reason for TT, Sammy, Marcel, Shady, or Darby to play. Give the fans who show a free beer and sausage. Let kids on the field at the end of the game. No point in getting anyone hurt.

Ngata and Wilkerson to Buffalo in 2016??
Dragonborn10 replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Decent point. Except Seattle had three Pro Bowlers in the secondary. Their D-line is ok (Dareus > Bennett) and their LB's are much better than the Bills. Buffalo has three very good to exceptional players in the secondary when healthy. They need to score earlier and more often and force teams to throw the ball to catch up. Spend the money on the offensive line and the line backers. Yes and no. The Bills like every team play more than 50% of their defensive snaps in the nickel which put Dareus at DT. Yes he gets a ton of snaps at DE and even a few at NT, but regardless of the base defense he is mostly a 4-3 DE. Now what his responsibilities are might be different. With Scwartz I think he was asked to penetrate along with KW. With Rex it looks like he is asked to maintain the point of attack. This is probably because Rex knows what we all know. The linebackers on this team suck. -
The offense needs to change too
Dragonborn10 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't think this is correct. TT was passing to all spots on the field the last few weeks - with perhaps the only exception being short middle. Roman designed some creative stuff but as other shave pointed out he has opened up the passing game as the season went along. Is that confidence in TT? is it a healthy Watkins? What would this offense have looked like with a healthy Goodwin and/or Harvin??? The top three have QB's that run anywhere from three to eight times a game and are the top three rushing QB's in the league - Cam 119, Russell 92, TT 80. Not sure but I will guess Arizona runs a lot with the lead late in the game. Just need to keep the QB healthy if they are going to be part of the run game... -

Music to my ears. At least a few people on this board get it. The game is made to throw the ball. Clay, Watkins, McCoy should combine for nearly 3000 yards receiving. Rex's defense was supposed to be a terror on opposing QB's. Rex needs to go back to basics. Play man to man up in the receiver's face and blitz from all angles. -
Firing Rex could save Marcel Dareus Career
Dragonborn10 replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn't it be a lot easier to sign or draft a NT, move Dareus to DE, make Kyle a pass rushing DE (he can't play the run worth a dam anyways), and upgrade the LB's. The LB's are awful regardless of the scheme. A true NT fixes a lot. Go after Knighton hard in FA. Maybe the Texans let Wilfork go. There are options much better than changing the entire staff again. Schwartz is not coming back. -
Is it bad to hope this scares other teams away from a big offer? Glenn has been solidly average this year. But how many O-lineman can they replace in one off season. Again I would not overpay. If they have to overpay then just tag him and make him play on the franchise tag for a year. Hopefully they get Incognito to sign. Then target a RT in FA or the draft. So many holes at LB, NT, DE, #2 WR and #2 TE.... oh man how did it get this bad so quick...

Eric Wood Has Been Playing Well
Dragonborn10 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has been average at best. No way he should be an alternate to ProBowl. He is much better than last year and under contract which is good. I was thinking draft his replacement this year but they need an OT - probably two actually.
