My guess is most on this board would take Gase or Jackson with Schwartz or one of his disciples as DC over Rex and Roman. I'm fine with Rex for another year. Terribly disappointed he could not work with Schwartz and just add some of his 46 principles to the existing defense. And why the hell can't Mario just play DE like he wants?

If the Bills are talking about cap issues and don't have a franchise QB as the highest paid player on the team, then they are bad at managing the cap.

Like Smith or not, this decision is just stupid. Smith has been a winning coach before. They had no QB last year and a rookie this year. What the hell do people expect? Someone will take the job but if Winston starts stealing crab legs again then what? Does the next coach need to have a winning record after eight games? What if the next coach loses a preseason game or god-forbid looks bad in a scrimmage against intra-state rival Miami? How can owners and GM's running billion dollar businesses make such horrible decisions?

Well said. Jags in London was a gift. It was practically a home game for the Bills judging by the crowd. Next year is going to be awful unless Palmer and Lynch retire.

I admit I thought the Bills would layover after the first defensive series by the Jets. I thought the Jets would beat the Bills up front and they would pack it in. I am happy to be wrong. But the Jets were just awful. Dropped passes all over the place. Poor play calling. How does a guy that gets a 50+ yard run not get more carries? Fitz threw the worst pass/red zone interception of the season for him and all of the other Bills opponents combined. I don't think any of this stuff carries over to next season. It doesn't matter at all. All that matters is they upgrade the linebackers, get healthy, and keep feeding Sammy.

He probably cheated to get healthy and make several more million dollars and almost win a SuperBowl. HGH should be legal for injury recovery.

Agree and it could have happened in training camp and preseason regardless of who eat at QB. Epic fail on using Sammy in first 8 games. Whaley wins this battle with the coaches.

3/5ths of the line either need to be replaced or signed. And Miller couldn't stay healthy. I think the concern about the OL is warranted. Would you pay Glenn top 5 money? Top 10 money? Someone probably pays him top 10 money? How much of a discount will ncognito give the Bills or does he also go to the highest bidder? Is Henderson an option at either OT spot? Mills/Henderson seem like good swing options with a rookie first rounder playing RT.

All three LB's are average to bad. I expect two FA's and a rookie to play significant roles next season. Doubt they just give up on Brown but he looks like a back-up or trade bait now. Bradham lost a lot of money this year. I suspect he signs a one year deal - maybe with Seattle who have cap issues and need new/cheap bodies on defense.

FA will change the draft needs a lot, but have to go OT at this point. Glenn is average - maybe above average but someone will overpay. They always do. Cut Mario, extend Gilmore, franchise Glenn, and sign Richie to a three year deal. Then target two LB's in FA. Use the draft to get a WR, a DE, a S, a kicker, and another TE.

Wow this is an organizational management nightmare. There will be entire chapters written about this disaster.
