  1. Helmet headed straight for his lower leg. If he stays standing there he gets a nasty bone bruise or worse. Should have dove immediately I agree. I heard Dilfer say QB's are taught to not stick their hands/arms into piles.
  2. Sign a FA NT. Rework Mario's deal. Sign Richie Let Kyle, Nigel, and Cordy walk Draft LT in first round. Then add LB's in rounds two and three. Round four take a SS
  3. In order of responsibility: Levy Talley Norwood Wright Kelly Outcoached, outplayed, and outschemed. I still do not understand the love Talley gets from this board. He was never that good and he was awful in this game. I will concede Levy managed egos, but you know what so did Parcells, Walsh, Noll, Madden, and Shula. The Bills were unprepared to play and did not adjust during the game.
  4. No where near the worst but lets face it, outside of Bruce Smith the defenses were not good. AFC was the weaker conference. We had better players but were outcoached against the Giants. Washington and Dallas had size and speed the likes of which the Bills had no chance against. If SanFrancisco could have made it to one of those SuperBowl games the Bills would have matched up far better.
  5. They have a certain guard with initials JR spelled incorrectly
  6. Because he cost us a SuperBowl win. If Parcells was the coach, Kelly would have handed off 45 times and would have won the SuperBowl with 8 pass attempts. He didn't control his team before the game nor during the game. I will admit loathe/hate is maybe not the right word but he let us all down. Can't stand Cowher - again another that lost more big games than he won and seemed to get more credit than he deserved basically for sticking his chin out and hugging his linebackers.
  7. No one has mentioned Elway yet? He ran a ton and played behind a bad offensive line early in his career. The helicopter spin in the SB at his age? What about Montana? Half this board would have had their aorta seperate from their heart after the shot he took from Jim Burt. And another no one has mentioned, Randall Cunningham. That guy played a long time in this league with skinny legs and taking some brutal shots.
  8. 1. Belichick - he would be in the HOF as a DC but a two time loser as HC if not for Brady. I can respect him and hate him. But you can not adequately evaluate him without adding that Brady is the best of all time. 2. Dungy - I can't stand this guy. Don't care for his religious piety. He was awful in the playoffs. 3. Levy - Yeah he is on the list. He was a good coach but with a better coach the Bills win three SuperBowls with that talent. He does not belong in the HOF. Wall fo Fame ok. HOF no way. 4. Jauron - I really can't stand play to lose coaches. He was so gutless. He got his players to overachieve but let them down at the most crucial moments 5. Ditka - it was Buddy Ryan not Ditka that won that SuperBowl. And in one the most classless moves of all time, he lets Perry score a TD and not Walter Payton. As you can tell, I base my choices mostly on overhyped coaches that failed to perform on the biggest stage.
  9. The Bills linebackers suck. That is the essence of the problem. They have been awful for a decade. One gap and penetration with the Bills front, and man to man on the outside is how they should have played. Create havoc up front and be willing to get beat on screens and runs up the middle from time to time. If they are going to play two gap then they need an entirely new set of LB's that can flow to the ball, make tackles (Bradham was awful in space), and blitz. And they need a SS that can play near the line of scrimmage the size of Chancellor.
  10. Andy Reid is such a horrible playoff coach. How can they waste so much time? And why onside kick? They had three timeouts. Kicking it away and stopping them was a higher percentage play than an onside kick. Terrible.
  11. I have 20 Powerball tickets that I have yet to see if they are smaller prize winners. And i'd give my cat to anyone in need of a service animal.
  12. Houston, Cleveland, or the 49ers. Done deal. Well who knows maybe Dallas??
  13. Adam Jones was on Dan Patrick this morning and said he was faking. He even winked at him as he was walking off the field. And since they immediately kicked the FG we won't know if he would have come back.
  14. I love Gruden. I respect Collinsworth. Aikman and Johnston are good color guys. Count me in the minority that can't stand Al Michaels. Tirico and Nantz just bug the hell out of me now. I'm not sure I like any play-by-play guys - Maybe Kenny Albert with Johnston.
  15. It was another in a long line of bad decisions by Brandon. He is a cancer and needs to go.
  16. I don't understand the media and Schefter getting blamed for orgnizations intervieweing Marrone. He is getting interviews. He did last year and again this year. No one is saying or has said Marrone is getting a job.
  17. If the Bengals lose in any other way he keeps his job and the blame is on AJ. Now he should be fired.
  18. Yup. Ejections are the only way to stop this crap. That was a clear case of lowering and leading with the crown. In college, the player is ejected. The Stanford player was wrongly ejected for targeting as he led with his shoulder but most of they time they get it right in college - Ohio State's Bosa was a good call.
  19. The PF was a good call. There was no need to hit the WR. Burfict is a year or two away from being in prison. As for the Jones penalty, what the hell is Joey Porter still doing on the field??? That is BS. No reason for the ref to throw the flag. It would have been a 52 yard FG. Lewis needs to lose his job. Burfict was out of control and should not have been on the field after he ran into the tunnel.
  20. In college that is targeting and the player is ejected. What is the point of player safety if that is not a penalty? He lowered and led with his head. It was not the receiver changing the strike zone. That is exactly the type of play that should be flagged and the player ejected. Clear cut lowering and leading with the crown of the helmet.
  21. My god these guys are so bad. If Simms followed his own advice the QB would either throw it away or take a sack on every pass attempt. Nantz tries to make every three yard gain seem as important as a birdie putt on the 72nd hole of the Masters.
  22. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000619758/article/miami-dolphins-hire-adam-gase-as-new-head-coach I was skeptical of him as his only real experience was watching Peyton Manning run the offense. But it looked like he did an ok job with Cutler. Will he be another Josh McDaniels? Never thought much of Tannenbaum or Tannehill for that matter. But if Gase can get a little more out of the QB position and more consistent play from that defense Miami will be tough.
  23. Maybe Tenn spoke to Mariota and he told them Chip is an !@#$. Chip Kelly is an egotistical dick. He treats everyone around him like dirt including his bosses. He talks about culture like a CEO with a MBA, but he knows little in how to establish a culture. In college the players have zero bargaining power. He has total control and had Phil Knight's wallet. It doesn't work that way in the NFL. Kelly probably wins a national championship at LSU next year if the administrators just waited a little longer to make a decision on firing Les Miles. My guess Kelly sits out a year and will be in the SEC next year.
  24. Kevin Greene is worthy of being on the final 15 list but not in the HOF. Very very good and almost but not quite. I would rather see more offensive lineman and even a couple kickers make it before they would let Greene in.
  25. According to Matthew Fairburn in Syracuse these are the WR's he would take over Sammy. His categories (black) and my comments(red). No Brainers: Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers Definitely Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons Definitely Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions For just one year? Maybe, but not long term Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys Possible but I stick with Watkins for now. DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans Don't think he is better but he is just as good. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals No, he is incredible but he is a post and go route only WR. I think Sammy will be a more complete WR next year. Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants Talent-wise yes, but he is on his way to being a headcase and probably a contract dispute in near future Could pass soon: Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos Probably a very good WR but who knows with Peyton as QB. Could pass soon is probably appropriate as in next season Brandon Marshall, New York Jets Another possible headcase. Can be dominant but for how long in any one place? Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals Fitzgerald is the WR Sammy most reminds me of. Obviously due to age I take Watkins and even for next year I would still choose Watkins Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers Again how do you separate the WR from the QB? Coming off injury this is a no-brainer for Watkins Too close to call: Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars Stats look great. Don't know much about him. Passed: These guys don't belong in the same article as Watkins with the exception of Maclin for a brief moment. Benjamin's story is yet to fully unfold. Eric Decker, New York Jets Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers Jeremy Maclin, Kansas City Chiefs T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts Love to see others thoughts.
