Nigel Bradham's comments about Rex Ryan's defense
Dragonborn10 replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Pettine's defense was historically bad against the run. 2. Schwartz was an awful HC in Detroit. 3. Bradham was good and never great in one of four years How many other things are wrong in this thread? -
Agreed
-
Waste of money
-
Bradham had 12 maybe 14 good games. He was bad last year even before he got hurt. Should not be too difficult to replace.

Mack leaving for the Falcons.

The Bills best draft pick ever.
Dragonborn10 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Bruce 2. Thomas 3. OJ 4. Kelly 5. Reed -
oline 5 starters returning.
Dragonborn10 replied to mikemac2001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The names all return but the starting RT is not on this team right now. Incognito was playing for his life. I don't see a reason for a dropoff but now that he got paid who knows. Miller looked ok most of the year but to be fair he is still a question mark. At this point he is the starter unless they draft a C/G high which I don't see them doing with the way Wood played. They will add a C/G in FA or late in the draft for a back-up role. -
Are the Dolphins a concern for you?
Dragonborn10 replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tanehill is below average to maybe average at best. They are overpaying him and have committed a ton of money to him, Suh, and a lifeless M. Williams. Mario couldn't handle the press here in Buffalo. The Miami lifestyle is going to be a terrible fit. He chased one more pay day. Good for him. They will be worst in division. The Jets and Bowles are the team to watch. -
HOF Quarterbacks discussion
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would put Young above Marino. His stats are still awesome while sitting for so long. However, Marino in this era would throw for 6000 yards. And what is even more crazy, is Clayton and Duper woudl be perfect WR's for this era too. I'm looking for more thoughts on those lower tier guys liek Bradshaw, Griese, and even Staubach. Was Staubach really that good or did he benefit from playing for the Cowboys as much as Aikman did. Bart Starr just gets a pass. I can't tell you if he was any good or not, if Dawson was a better QB or not - but it just doesn't matter with that team, that HC, and those championsips. -
I don't unerstand the backlash at Rex on this one. Brown was frickin terrible last year. If they had any depth at LB he would have been benched. Brown knows better than we do how bad he was and how much he needs to improve to remain a starter. Bills will bring in no less then three LB's to compete for jobs. Two in the draft and probably a veteran FA that is familiar with the Ryan system.

While we wait for a FA period that won't include the Bills much lets discuss HOF QBs.... Is Bradshaw underrated? I always thought Aikman was a bit overrated but he was as surgical as Montana in the playoffs. And what about Griese? Stabler won two MVP's? I had no idea. Stabler had more yards and same number of TD's that Griese did. SuperBowls count too much. Would anyone put Eli Manning in the HOF? Happy Day!

Is there a WR in the draft better than Robert Woods?

I think Graham might switch back to CB and still play some safety. I think they will add another safety in FA or draft to replace Leodis not another true CB.

Doug Marone - Still not a Head Coach
Dragonborn10 replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't think Mularkey would get another shot but he did. Never underestimate the ability of billionaires to make poor decisions and give underachieving white coaches multiple chances to fail. Marrone will probably get another shot. -
I'm all in for that. He is a star

Should the Bills tag Glenn?
Dragonborn10 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the tag idea. It doesn't commit long term resources. Get one more year out of him. He has to continue to perform for the next big contract. These guys never hold out anymore. Still draft an OT in the top two rounds. Then rework Mario's contract to lower the salary number for this year. -
Why not utilize the penalty box for the NFL
Dragonborn10 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same goes for off-setting personal fouls. Both players should be forced to sit. -
1. Rollover cap money 2. Restructure Clay What is the next move? 3a and 3b. I think Mario and Mckelvin both take pay cuts 4. They sign Incognito. 5. Extend Taylor. Glenn walks. He will want more than he is worth. If they keep Mario they take two tackles in the first three rounds along with an OLB. A trade down adds a WR Any cap money that is left goes for a SS and another LB. Step 10 - draft the best PK in the draft.

Whaley should find QB's with similar skill sets of Taylor
Dragonborn10 replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude did you watch any games? If anything TT didn't take off soon enough. He had chances to run and gave them up for throws. He was great over the middle the second half of the season. He did everything you could hope for and with an intact O-line and healthy Sammy all year he has a good chance to be a superstar next year. -
Don't you know the rules of Two Bills Drive. One can never speak negatively of Marv Levy. He was the greatest manager of egos --- right up until the four most important games in the franchise's history Seriously? He is a borderline HOF candidate. If they had paid him he would be a sure ring of honor player. He would be on a very short list of undrafted HOF players.

Jason 423. Dareus is a Grade AAA talent. Watkins is under contract for three more years. Gilmore is very very good and can be a training camp extension or franchise player next year. Mario, Leodis, Carpenter, and Kyle are the cap/talent casualties. Hopefully Kyle takes a pay cut and stays. Like others have said, rework the Clay deal and they have room for Incognito, Glenn, and a FA linebacker. If Glenn walks then they can get two LB's and a DE and then draft two OT in the first three rounds.

McCoy's nightclub fight and the ongoing investigation
Dragonborn10 replied to lowghen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry i'm not reading 58 pages in the other thread If McCoy is charged with a felony assault, I could see Roger giving him a year suspension. This is not a thread to discuss if/when or how long a possible suspension might be. Just looking for someone with cap knowledge. Does his bonus money still go towards the cap but not his salary since he is suspended?
