  1. As in everything the answer is it depends. If they tag Gilmore and sign Z. Brown then the priority has to be WR#2. They will need to use first round pick on a safety in that scenario. If they let Gilmore and Z. Brown walk, then they should sign 3-4 mid-level FA's to play DB and LB. Then they draft WR in first round. I'm was in the camp of CG at RT and CK at LT prior to the hip injury. Henderson was just a notch above Mills when healthy. I will take the word of the board and assume the OT draft is weak. But between CG, CK, and SH I would not spend big on another OT. Lastly, they should try and get Groy back. He was as good as Wood which unfortunately means he probably can get a starting job and starting money elsewhere. Seattle? Wood likely can still play at a high level for a few more years so they can't break the bank on Groy. However, I would not be shocked if Wood was a salary cap cut and they bring back Groy instead. He is four years younger and not coming off a broken leg.
  2. Agreed. Brady got sacked five times, hit other times. And they were decent shots by 300 lb DTs. The main difference between old and current is the defensive holding call. All three against Atlanta were valid calls now but probably none of them are made pre-Belichick.
  3. Up until the start of the fourth quarter I still believed Montana and Brady were near equals with a slight edge to Montana and his flawless SuperBowl record. But there is no denying it any longer. Brady is the best NFL player of all time. Not just QB. He is the greatest player we will ever see. He should get the Gretzky treatment and be enshrined without the five year wait.
  4. Brady is done. He is too emotional. He knows he is going to retire
  5. Three runs and a kick after Julio's catch and the game is over. Maybe Lynch will rethink signing Shanahan after that awful sequence
  6. Push off and drop for the lacrosse player
  7. Why are all the Falcons defenders looking at the LOS and Brady? I thought the new thing was to be looking away at the snap?
  8. If refs call it both ways, Julio will have 200 yards receiving or five flags.
  9. Is there a single starting QB that was developed? You keep drafting until you find a star and then you play him.
  10. Hope they get this done. Then they can franchise Gilmore and see if TT will rework his contract.
  11. Completely agree. He has no hope of playing now. Let him get his reps in OTA's and in training camp. If he shows progress keep him another year. If not keep drafting one until you find one. How many college snaps did Matt Cassell get? He sat and learned and turned out to be a serviceable pro. Jones' celing is a lot higher than Cassell but only time will tell.
  12. Dam I thought this was going to be serious thread until I read the OP. Lombardi was by all accounts a terrible person. His kids don't like him and his wide was a terrible drunk - perhaps to escape him. I would be all for a generic name. I do like the trophy itself though. Second only to Stanley Cup. Don't care for the MLB, NCAA, or NBA trophies.
  13. I think most on here would respect that opinion. As above I don't believe older era guys that won with great teams deserve to be on the list. I also offered up some names that could easily be ranked above Kelly. I was perhaps most surprised by how low Young was and Aikman not making the list. He was so incredibly frustrating in his precision and lack of turnovers. Three SuperBowl victories that he played a much greater part in than Starr of Bradshaw played in theirs. Yes the Cowboys were great teams but he was integral to making them great.
