  1. Remember this kids name. He has first round talent and undrafted free agent baggage. He is a top cover guy with great return skills. The Bills have a history of drafting well from the state of Oregon (Byrd and Levitre). He would be a great middle round steal to team with Williams. With McGee gone and Florence likely gone as well they will need to draft at least one CB assuming they don't sign one in FA.
  2. Wrong...Steelers would be patient with him just like they have been with others. For a rookie DT he has been fine. Rookie DT's rarely dominate. Knowing that what we know now about our WR corp, Green would have been a better choice. I think we would have had a better chance of winning with a high powered offense that converts third downs and keeps the ball away from other teams.
  3. Schobel...Kelsay...Fitz Flethcer...Peters...Jackson...Johnson Simple as black and white
  4. Parcells and Holmgren are great examples of why you don't give complete control away. Parcells was an average to above average talent evaluator and Holmgren was and is an awful GM. He was stripped of GM duties in Seattle.
  5. Would you give that up for a trip to the playoffs? Would you trade Maybin, McElvin, and James Hardy for a trip to the playoffs???
  6. You character people are insane....Did the Patriots worry about Moss's character? Marv Levy wanted character guys and he destroyed the team. Give me killer speed with an attitude any day. Jackson is elite. With Johnson, Nelson, and a combination of Jackson and Spiller, the skill positions would be truly dangerous. A true number one elite WR would raise the play of every other offensive weapon we have. It is the missing part on offense just as an OLB with 12 sacks is the missing piece on defense.
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing Sherman as QB coach/assistant HC. He seems like a successful career NFL assistant type like Wade Phillips. Then fire Edwards and the whole defensive staff including Wanstedt. Just start over on defense.
  8. You can't be serious???? Do you really think fan attendance has anything to do with the Bills staying in Buffalo??? Did the fans not attend Brown's games in Cleveland before they left for Baltimore??? Get over it you don't matter...We don't mean anything...We give up our Sunday's for decades of disappointment, and when RW dies it will all be for nothing....
  9. Browns won't move to Baltimore!
  10. I was just using Jasper as an example and I agree he is way over-hyped. For every Jason Peters or Stevie Johnson who goes from UDFA or low round pick on to be a star there are hundreds of other washouts. Jasper will be another washout especially if the plan is to keep him at guard.
  11. In the big scheme of things this is pretty meaningless, but why is Lindell still taking up a roster spot? His replacement nailed a 53 yrd FG on the road. The playoffs are out of reach. Why not put Lindell on IR and sign a FA LB, WR, or DE perhaps from another team's practice squad? Let Jasper take a few snaps at NT(I know the word is he is practicing at guard) and see what happens. Can't be any worse than Troup and his bad back.
  12. Except that Wood was having a Pro-Bowl season, he is the anchor onthe line, and he will be lucky to be back by the start of next season....other than that it's great
  13. Wow SJ is now Lebron??? SJ is closer to Ilgauskus than he is Lebron. He isn't even in the top 25 WR's and he may not even be in the top 200 players in the NFL. Hell he isn't even top 5 on the Bills (Wood, Levitre, Dareus, Jackson, Fitz, and Barnett all more important) let alone teams with much more talent. I don't agree with letting your best players walk but you also can't bid against yourself. If he is so great franchise him and make him prove it one more year.
  14. If he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (what Hank Gathers died from) he will never play again. If he had some type of pericarditis(inflammation of the sac around the heart) he will be back. If he had an arrhytmia (irregular heart beat) he should have been treated and back on the field in a week. My guess is if it is his heart and not career ending we would have heard something. I think he is done.
  15. We lose on tie brakers to the Jets and Cincinnati. Aint going to happen. But I'm going to the San Diego game so I hope they are at least mathematically still in it at that time.
  16. Nobody wanted Plaxico and Holmes and they make a nice 1-2 combo... Johnson is a top 50 WR. On some days he is top 15. Probably top 15 route runner but iffy hands. They need a superstar next to hime. And yes I would need to clean myself up if we gave Baltimore's 4th round pick for DeShaun Jackson.
  17. Consider the final games as OTA's to see which FA players should be resigned. Then move to the official off-season. Next season's success or failure will not be determined by the draft however. It will be won or lost in FA. We have unsigned FA's playing RT, TE, LT, and WR and a disgruntled MVP RB with a year left on his contract. We have gaping holes at WR and OLB. I will grant you OLB's can dominate early but that is USUALLY not the case with WR's. The Bills need to be active in FA and resign Pears, Johnson, and Jackson. Campbell would be nice but I would not overpay for him. Then they need to go after Vincent Jackson or a big time wide out. Maybe Deshaun Jackson has worn out his welcome in Philly. Use that Lee Evans pick on a veteran wide-out. Santanio holmes was had for a burger and fries. A little gift of a healthy Easley wouldn't hurt either. Then take the two best pass rushers available at the time in the first and second rounds. Add another WR, DL and OL depth, and one corner to fill out the rest of the draft. Oh yeah, and pray Wood's knee is ready by September and he can start without any pre-season action.
  18. We can want them to win but not be upset with a loss and better draft position at the same time. A win for a mostly young team is good for experience. A loss gives Nix a better chance to improve the roster.
  19. To Edwards defense on that call it forced a quicke throw by Sanchez or he would have been sacked and pushed out of FG range. The catch by Plax was amazing and a back breaker.
  20. Team isn't giving up. They physically can't compete anymore. Honestly what team could without their best defensive player, the best player on the offensive line, the LT, the teams MVP, the starting 5 WR's, the SS, and only guy that was able to rush the passer all on IR or missing practice time this week. The season is over. At least this year I said that in November and not September. The starting center will be luckly to be back by the start of next seasone and now will have had a torn ACL and a broken leg. Bell has missed more games than he has played. Levitre may be an All-Pro LG. The rest are cannon fodder.
  21. I can simplify it for you. It starts and ends with RW. RW has only hired three credible people in the entire history of the organization. Those would be Lou Saban, Chuck Knox, and of course Bill Polian. Marv Levy and John Butler get honorable mentions. RW has managed to alienated the the only successful coaches or GM's in the organization's history. He is an absolute failure as a leader. He has no idea how to evaluate and retain top level talent.
  22. Successful organization do not sign players over 30 to long term contracts. Freddie is an amazing story but you can't fight age. I don't care how many hits or lack of hits he has had he is a RB over the age of 30. I hope CJ lights it up because this team needs to spend the limited dollars RW will spend on a top tier WR and/or OLB in FA.
  23. Hmmm... TO and Randy Moss vs Sam errr...Kamar Aiken They should run the wishbone with Brad Smith on Sunday. At least let Smith earn his money by getting hit and save Fitz from getting killed back there.
  24. Three years??? It has been more than a decade of failures spanning multiple GM's. The only constant is RW and Modrak. RW has failed in every way to attract and retain high quality GM's. It is not just the NFL. Any business that can't do that will fail. The Bills succeed only because of shared TV revenue and a fan base that has nothing else.
