  1. What he said... Who gives a rat's ass about 30.5% when Stevie dropped the game winner...
  2. Sounds like a great plan for the Patriots. Get Stevie to sign on the cheap to play for a winner and Moss to come back with something to prove. While the Bills can let yet another diamond in the rough player go instead of paying him what he is worth(or maybe a bit more because you have to)
  3. McKelvin isn't going anywhere. He played great on special teams and still has a ton of physical tools. Florence and McGee are gone. Can't find three CB's in one year when they need two LB's and a DE just for the defense.
  4. How about Easley, Jones, Parrish, and Johnson's nagging groin injury??? WR corps was decimated by years end.
  5. Nice post! Nix as much as said he needs to overpay guys to come here. Well overpay this guy and overpay Stevie and Bell to stay. Then draft another WR, a rush OLB, and a speed TE.
  6. 5.5 sacks from the DT spot is pretty good. If he gets to 8 from the DT spot he will be an All-Pro.
  7. McKelvin may still be a player. He has all the physical tools. Don't give up just yet...
  8. Neither does the management at OBD. But just to clarify when the same player stands up in a 3-4 om first and second down and then rushes the passer with his hand down on 3rd down in a 4 man rush is the player a 3-4 or 4-3 OLB? And the NY Giants beat the Patriots by pass rushing not pass defending and throwing to multiple WR's with the worst rushing offense(statistically) in the NFL. So not only were the player choices poor, in retrospect the entire philosophy on how to beat them was wrong.
  9. While teams at times do let a player play under the tag more than not it is just used to buy them more time to negotiate. Regardless 13 million will be less than the signing bonus he will receive though higher than the per year salary he will ultimately get on the FA market. Double agree. RW has opened the wallet in the past for guys like Dockery(came back to bite him as he was awful). In fact RW has a h/o paying for other's FA and not keeping our own much to the dismay of the fans.
  10. At least in Prisco's world if the Bills simply retain Bell and Johnson that would be a decent free agency period. Add another CB or WR then draft defense front 7 players and it might be the beginning of something. I agree with him on Bell. He is too young to give up on. And I just don't understand why they don't franchise Johnson and give themselves time to get a deal done later in the summer.
  11. People on this board seem to think FA's want to come to Buffalo. Why would Evans want to come back?
  12. Agree and add the MNF debacle against the Cowboys I just saw the stat, Kelly 14TD 19 INT
  13. You mean the 30+ year old RB with an injured leg and who is under contract until 2013??? Don't think he is at the top of the teams issues to deal with right now...
  14. 2013 -- guard Larry Allen, defensive end Michael Strahan, left tackle Jonathan Ogden, defensive tackle Warren Sapp, quarterback Steve McNair, safety John Lynch, defensive tackle Bryant Young, kicker Morten Andersen. 2014 -- linebacker Derrick Brooks, wideout Marvin Harrison, coaches Tony Dungy and Mike Holmgren, running back Shaun Alexander, and safety Rodney Harrison. 2015 -- left tackles Walter Jones and Orlando Pace, linebacker Junior Seau, quarterback Kurt Warner, cornerback Ty Law, , and running back Edgerrin James. These are the names of the eligible players coming soon... Allen, Ogden, and Sapp seem all but certain to make it(McNair has the sympathy vote too). Brooks is the only guy from 2014 that IMO is a shoe in. Yes Dungy and Harrison are possibilities. But Dungy may coach again and just like Parcells the HOF voters will wait to see. In 2015 Jones, Pace, and Seau are locks. That leaves only 2 spots for next year for Haley, Parcells, and the three WR's Reed, Brown, and Carter to battle it our. I just can't see Reed making it. Maybe 2014 if they look and say Harrison was more a product of Peyton Manning than he was himself a talent(also that whole shooting in Philadelphia may go against him). Reed has a better chance of getting in by the NFL increasing the number per year to six or seven than he does competing against these eligible candidates.
  15. Here is hoping that PS DT they added jumps off sides on a crucial 3rd and 2...Karma can be a strange thing...
  16. Someone needs to explain to me how Art Monk is in the HOF and Reed, Carter, and Brown are not? This is total BS. Cortez Kennedy? I was shocked he even made it to to the final ten let alone gets enshrined. Doleman? You have got to be kidding. Martin has the numbers but he could have waited a few years. Roaf and Dawson are worthy. I can't see Reed ever making it now.
  17. Kelsay and Carrington to DE is an upgrade in the LB corps. That is a win win for both units. Barnett can play any of the three LB spots, though I like him best at SOLB. I don't think anyone knows what Merriman can or can't do. I suspect he is a situational pass rusher. Moats may be an option at WOLB. The key to the season on the defensive side of the ball will be Sheppard. I still think he is too small to play MLB but if he can the 2011 draft may be remembered as the draft that turned the franchise around.
  18. While it may just be talk, Godell said that if LA gets a stadium the league would expand to 34 teams instead of moving an existing franchise. While this does not guarantee the Bills aren't moved to Oklahoma City, San Antonio, or Las Vegas, it is encouraging. http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/34676017
  19. Having the greatest QB of all time covers up a lot of warts...
  20. Miles attacked QB recruit Gunner Kiel for changing his mind and going to Notre Dame instead of LSU. The same recruit that Miles undoubtedly talked into spurning Indiana for LSU. Did Miles lament a system that allows a player to commit and decommit to schools? No instead he attacked the young man's heart and character. I'm sure Kiel's parents are quite happy their son came to his senses and opted not to go to the cultural abyss of the deep South.
  21. Been to Pittsburgh many times. The people are dickheads - get no arguement from me. But Pittsburgh is the most painful of comparisons. Buffalo could be Pittsburgh. Buffalo could have been the comeback city after the steel industry died. Buffalo has infinately more natural resoucrs but sadly infinately more political corruption and incompetence. Please list the decent restaurants... It has been three years since I have been there and I can't imagine it has gotten any better. I like Italian as much as anybody but what else is there? Please don't say Salvatore's. I went there for my prom in 1988.
  22. Don't disagree about the architecture. There are some very beautiful buildings in Buffalo. My grandfather helped build several of them.
  23. People look in the mirror. If you weren't born in Buffalo there would be no reason to ever live or even visit there. The hotels are crap. The restaurants are crap. The airport is small and has very few direct flights to anywhere. Compare them to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, or Toronto. People have said we are at the bottom of the list. Buffalo isn't even on the list. For me the defining charm of Buffalo has been the people. I have lived in Ohio and now the Pacific NW and travelled the entire country. Nowhere are the people as friendly as in western NY. Not moving back anytime soon though....
