  1. John Elway calling time out when Biscuit lined up next to Bruce
  2. Martin has the agility to play LT and can gain the strength over time. Would not be upset at all if he is the pick. All these players are interchangeable from 8-25.
  3. Wannstedt was a horrible HC at a much lower profile school. No way Arkansas goes after him.
  4. He is a 3-4 run stopping DE with no pass rush ability. Hopefully they can trade him for a 7th round pick during trainging camp otherwise he will be in the first waive of cuts.
  5. I'm starting to hope they go LB or WR at #10 and Jonathan Martin falls to second round. That would be a coup. I just don't like Reiff. I know he played LT in the Big 10 but he looks like a RT/G. Martin has the feet to be an elite LT just needs to get stronger.
  6. Just change the caption to PS body/tackling dummy. His NFL career will be limited by the number of times a player can be on a PS before he must be officially on the 53 man roster.
  7. What if Mario is consistently double teamed and ends up with 8 sacks while Williams and Dareus each get 4-5 and Anderson nets 10-12 while faicng one on one blocking. Who is then over/under paid? This DL is truly a unit. Each part helping the other. If a team is only going to run to one side how long will it take to compensate for that - not more than a quarter. Plus Mario will switch form right to left and occasionally rush from a two point stance up the middle. And lastly who runs the ball in the NFL anymore anyways? Just be competent against the run and don't worry about it. The NFL went from run and stop the run to pressure the passer and protect the passer a long time ago.
  8. I met Drew Bledsoe a few times around the time Williams was coach. He said Williams was nuts. His half time speeches were just screaming rants with F-bomb after F-bomb and he could not stand the guy.
  9. I am not saying this is a realistic possibility but the answer to your question is Floyd. If the Browns take Richardson at #4 they could then move up and get Floyd at #10. This would give them an elite LT, a possible stud WR and RB combo, and a servicable QB. The Bills may not be interested in a WR in the first round but a LT lower in the first round like Martin or Adams may be just what they want along with exta picks.
  10. Yes he did and he would have filled that same need several picks later along with another teammate that they could have gotten with the extra draft pick they would have recieved from Denver.
  11. There is value in drafting the right player at the right time. Don't deny it just because your team is horrible at it and teams like the Patriots excel at determining value. One need look no further than Buffalo and Marv Levy's incomeptenece. That pick had value that was lost. Denver was willing to give something of value to take Cutler and Levy blew it. Then Levy gave away value by trading up for Poz and McCargo. The draft is all about odds. The best GM's are little better than the worst. It is luck and increasing your ods by having more picks. That is what value is all about.
  12. But because he is a well rounded student athlete he gets a scholarship... Who took his SAT? Would love to see his college papers. He should be the test case for just paying these guys and end the farce of going to classes.
  13. A wasted pick as was McGahee. Those picks could have been the foundation of the offensive line today.
  14. The entire left side of the offensive line was blocking Bruce on that play. Seriously the Center, Guard and LT are all blocking him. If Mario is half of what Bruce was it will be a treat to watch.
  15. Nobody is trading up to 10. Players 7-25 are all interchangeable. Better get used to it. Whomever is taken at #10 will be a reach unless there are some really strange things that happen in picks 3-9. Just pinch your nose and take Floyd then hope that Martin drops like a stone and he could be had at the bottom of round number 1. If there is a year to trade back into the bottom of the first round this is it. The Bills need to win this year. There is no tomorrow. Nix and Gailet need to win this year. They need a LT, a WR, an OLB, and CB out of this draft all of which need to play extensive minutes. If that means giving up a number 2 next year then do it. Every other year I would say trade down and never up, but there will be no takers for the tenth pick.
  16. 1. Always trade down whe you can 2. Floyd 3. Reiff 4. CB 5. Martin Honestly when options 2-5 are unworthy of the tenth pick have to hope there is a willing trade partner even if the trade only nets a 3rd this year or a second next year. Pick 6-25 will all be the same value this year. Draft is very deep but after Kalil, Luck, RG3, Claiborne, and Blackmon they are all the same grade.
  17. Think it would be reasonable to give Gabbert more than one season to be declared a bust??? Carolina's O-line and running game as well as WR's are much better than the cast of characters in Jacksonville. I like Casserly. He stood his ground and took Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. He got called an idiot just like RW did when he voted against the CBA years ago. Is it just me or does McShay come off sounded arrogant. All the other guys are willing to say they miss all the time on evaluations. Mayeb it is his voice but he just bugs the crap out of me.
  18. Quick feet, long arms, good bend at the waist and knees, and lastly strength are the important tackle attributes Guards need quick explosive force that usually comes from lower body strength and leverage
  19. Trade it for a 6th in 2013 and every year thereafter trade it up one round for the following years draft... In all seriousness I would use it to draft a punter. Time for Moorman to go.
  20. There is no market for Freddie. His value to us is much higher than it is to anyone else. I was trying to figure out what team would need an older RB that had a win now mentality. Baltimore to compliment Ray Rice? Arizona? I doubt they would give anything more than a fourth round pick for him. In the end hopefully Nix extends him for another three years at a reasonable cost. However if it truly made a difference in their ability to resign Wood, Levitre, and Byrd I would make Freddie play out his last year and let him walk. The other three are much more important to the long term future of the franchise.
  21. LOL...you really and truly believe the fans mean anything???
  22. Any player taken after Luck, RG3, Kalil, Blackmon, and Claiborne is a reach in this draft. There is so little difference between the 5th and 25th player. Perfect year to trade down but that is waht everyone else will be thinking and there wil be no willing partner to move up.
  23. If Kalil does get past Minnesota then Clevleand will trade down with someone who will take Kalil at 4. Yes Minnesota could take a CB. Even if that does not happen there is no way he makes it past St. Louis. Ergo short of him being busted driving 110 mph in a stolen car drunk he is not going to be a Buffalo Bill.
