  1. If you are talking about position groups it has to be QB. Fitz is mediocre and Thigpen and Smith are awful. Wouldn't surprise me to see them sign Beck or see if Miami cuts Moore or Garrard. Matt Leinart is reported to be destined to go to Oakland but I would call his agent and take him over Thigpen and Smith. The WR's are a huge question mark that will only be answered when we see Easley suit up for real game.
  2. I thought they would pick a true center. He is RT/RG. Training camp fodder and will push Jasper to the street. Another LB that can play special teams, a developmental TE, or Kellen Moore would have been better. Cant blame Nix for wanting OL depth after the injuries last year.
  3. Give the rest of the picks to moveup and take Moore
  4. B+ Still wonder if they could have moved down a few spots and picked up an extra pick
  5. ESPN jumped the shark a long time ago. Berman sounds like if not for him the NFL wouldn't exist. He needs to be put out to pasture. Mortensen looks pathetic trying to keep up with Schefter. The worst by far is Sal Palontonio.
  6. Anyone know of any true centers that are still available? Yes Wood's injuries were flukes but how many surgeries can he have on his legs before he's got nothing left.
  7. If ESPN grades mean anything he was taken some 70 spots ahead of where he should have been...that would be a 5th or 6th round selection we just got in the third round. They could have had Randle and likley only given up a firth to get into the bottom of the second round.
  8. Decastro and now Adams...very nice! Probably the best team Adams could have gone to. That could be one hell of a left side and with Pouncey in the middle they have the making of a great offensive line.
  9. If Martin, Glenn, or Fleener are there it just ahs to be one of those guys. I would take Upshaw or David over a Mike Adams. In fact wouldn't surpise me if Adams lasted until late second or early third round.
  10. I don't think McCoy is any good but honestly he is probably better than Thigpen and Smith. I would rather give up a 7th round pick for McCoy and maybe take Kellen Moore as well in the 6th or 7th. Let them battle it out for the back-up spot. Cut Thigpen and Smith as we have plenty of guys to return and Chan simply does not use the Wildcat.
  11. LOL... many ways to mess this up especially if they reach on a QB Just draft the highest LT left on their board and move on to the third round
  12. Trade up for Martin around pick 27 if still there
  13. Merriman wil be listed as an OLB but agree he may be lined up with hand on the ground at DE at times. More likely he rushes from outside Mario Williams shoulder. Arrington will be the other DE.
  14. Thought he played for the Redskins?
  15. Agree Urbik a can play. Still would draft a C in rounds 4-6. Wood is destined for the PUP list to start the season.
  16. I will go on record as saying Wannstedt is highly overrated. Jimmy Johnson made him a success and he has been mediocre at best since then at all of his subsequent stops. The switch away from a 3-4 for which it would have taken two more drafts to get the right personnel is the key. And I'm pretty sure your average arm-chair QB can tell you if you can create turnovers with a 4 man pass rush playing defense is relativley easy.
  17. Would anybody trade down to Philadelphia at number 15 along with picking up Asante Samuel and a 3rd round pick. I think that would be fair. Bills get a capable CB and an extra third round pick and still at #15 they can draft a LT or LB.
  18. Making plays against Notre Dame and Miami are not the same as in the NFL
  19. Frazier's comments are interesting. At this time before the draft usually everything a team says is a lie. But this draft is crazy in that it really starts at the #3 spot. Maybe Frazier is being honest and he wants a playmaker to go with Peterson and Ponder, thus they take Blackmon instead of Kalil. If that happens picks 4-10 are all turned on their head. With Claiborne and Kalil now available for teams that want them a bidding war to move up could ensue. If Cleveland somehow takes Tannehil then it will be choas.
  20. Yes but those teams would then seek a trade down for a team that needs a LT. Totally agree with the choices those teams could make but at some point Kalil's value will entice a team to move up and get him. Hope it is the Bills. An even better scenario is that the overall feeling abou the LT's in the draft cause more than one to fall to the second round. That would be ideal. To get Floyd, a CB, or a LB in the first round and still get Martin or Glenn or the Mississippi St. LT would be a coup.
