  1. I swear he was at least ten yards downfield before Fitz let go of the ball. Refs were god awful today. NIce hustle though goingfrom lining up at RG and blocking downfield on the left sideline.
  2. Jones is probably the better blocker downfield. I'd rather see Graham in the slot where he is a yard or two off the LOS. This way he can't get knocked off his route by the DB right away. Run him up the seam, deep outs, or corner patterns from the slot. PS - Love all the bunch sets today. Expect some nice wrinkles out of those sets for the Pat's. Look for that same screen play they ran twice - first was Spiller's TD - but will fake the screen action and come back to Stevie or Graham on the post.
  3. Pretty sure Morrison still gets paid in shorts. He isn't as good as Bradham on ST's and is an insurance policy for Moats/Barnett. Hope he stays inactive trhe whole year while Moats/Barnett and Sheppard improve over time. Barnett was everywhere today. Onlybad play was overrunning Richardson's TD run. He was getting blocked at the time but he could have lit up Richardson when he cut back to the left if he had stayed home.
  4. I feel horrible for Nelson. The WR position will likely be addressed in the draft and FA next year. He should recover from the injury but I doubt he makes next years team.
  5. No it doesn't. With FA and the draft many teams turn things around in well less than three years. Those teams usually have a good QB situation to build upon. If this team doesn't make the playoffs it will be squarely on Fitz's shoulders and this regime decided he was thier QB. If he fails he brings them down with him. They chose not to draft a young QB to groom, they chose not to bring in any viable back-up, and they chose to give him that contract. If Fitz is the albatross for this team, then Gailey should lose his job. Dude they have been losing for twelve years, they sell out most of their games when there is still hope, and I would guess merchadise sales in Buffalo are just fine...As Steve Young stated about the enitre NFL, Bills fans have an inelastic demand for the Bills. Add in a battered syndrome mentality for the fans, and you get a fan base that spends money regardless of the product on the field. There is no rationale correlation between on the field performance and money spent on the BIlls.
  6. Looked overwhelmed to me just like he did against GronkenMarcia
  7. Maybe the Jets are just better than us...They have destroyed us for three years in a row...the games haven't even been close for the most part... Thank you for correcting that...Mario was incredible in the role Wade gave him...I think they need a different name for the position. These guys like Ware and Suggs virtually never drop into coverage and often rush from a three point stance.
  8. Three years is more than enough time to turn around the team. No playoffs and Gailey/Wanny are out of jobs. I would bet NIx keeps his job just because the 2012 draft loosk decent so far.
  9. Can't define porn but I know it when I see it...Well if you want a video that shows launching, spearing, targeting a defenseless player, and hitting the head of an oponent then this is the video 21K is ridiculous If they want this stuff to stop, it has to be suspensions. First offense you lose a 1/2 game. You can't come out on the field until after halftime. Second offense is a game. Third is four games.
  10. Wilson will move to FS, Searcy to SS. I would however like to see A. Williams at FS especially if Brooks could have started at CB. Still would like to see Williams get some snaps at FS and either Rogers/McKelvin at CB in garbage time in the second half. Agree...resigning Levitre is much more important than Byrd but still would like to see both in a Bills uniform for the next 5-7 years
  11. Yes. Lloyd went with his former coach. Garcon, Colston, and Jackson signed for big bucks, and Wayne re-upped with the Colts. Manningham went from one SB winner to a SB contender. I woudl still make a play for Wayne in a trade especially if the Colts go 1-5 to start the season. Or change the thread to why is Kirk Morrison on the team? He was a healthy scratch for both games? Wouldn't a young LB who can play ST's be a better use of his roster spot?
  12. Seriously BillsBiker? It's just an observation. Can you elaborate on why it is stupid? Or better yet please enlighten us on the rules of posting on this board. Most of the crap on here including the nonsense I write is crap. So please remember that silly document called the Bill of Rights, leave the guy alone, and simply don't respond if you have nothing meaningful to add. As to the post, it has been mentioned several times WR isprobably the hardest position to come in and make an impact as a rookie. Kind of surprised Floyd doesn't have a catch playing opposite Fitzgerald. Is that the QB's throwing to him, injuries, or something else? I didn't see either Cardinals game
  13. Criticize lil Donte all you want, but he is the starting SS for the best defense in the league... That said I would love to see him try to cover Spiller in the slot
  14. I agree with you. Our defense matches up very well against their offense. If they can keep Vernon Davis from having a huge game, I think they can keep it close. I still think they will lose but if they keep it close and pressure Smith who knows...
  15. Who blasted you, FJ's mom? The only other person who thought FJ should start was Gailey. Spiller is the total package. He looks plenty big enough to bust it up inside. The two of them should wear down defenses and bust some big runs in the third and fourth qtrs.
  16. That is funny, painful but funny Resign Levitre now! They can be pro-bowlers together for years!
  17. The first and most important thing to rememebr about USC QB's is they play against Pac-12 defenses. Outside of Stanford and USC, they are all crap. Oregon's defense is said to be their best in years if not ever and when they finally play real competitoin they will get lit up. Palmer was very good for a short time, Leinart garbage, Sanchez is mediocre, and Barkley couldn't run the hurry up offense at the end of the game. He was awful today. Another performance like this against Oregon or maybe ND and he will drop to the bottom half of the first round.
  18. Not that I disagree, but shouldn't he be destructive every week? And yes, work is the perfect place to get away from the sadness of life. It lets your mind go to a different place. I hope he thoroughly enjoys meeting Mr. Cassell many times.
  19. I am not sure you can teach ball awareness skills. So no I don't think he will ever be good at CB. I wonder if a move to FS would help him. He seems to lose sight of the ball when he has to turn. At FS the play would always be in front of him, and he certainly has the wheels to cover ground quickly. My worry would be his ability to recognize the play developing. And as someone else posted, I wonder how he would do at WR? It is not his hands that are the problem. If he knew where the ball was coming out of his break I suspect he would catch it. Lastly, the whole secondary played like garbage including Byrd who IMO this board and the media overvalues. Hope he proves me wrong.
  20. All that and you don't have to deal with the drunk chain smoking fan next to you...
  21. Isn't it obvious? The Bills do not want to sign a lease they can't get out of. When RW dies, Brandon gets to move to LA with the new owner. Brandon will be the guy that let the new owner save millions by avoiding a penalty for breaking the lease.
  22. In all seriousness I would rather have Roscoe back in the slot than either Jones or Roosevelt. I liek the idea of Graham on the outside to stretch the defense. Just don't give him any option routes. Make it simple. Go patterns or 12 yard stop routes mixed in with an occasional deep in route.
  23. I'm 41. Haven't lived in Buffalo since 1988. I'm curious. If you were born after 1990 why do you watch this team? I was fortunate/cursed to become aware of the Bills and went to my first game in 1979. My first taste of Bills' heartache was Ferguson's twisted ankle followed shortly thereafter by Ferragamo and Dufek and 2-14 and 2-14 and Stephenson. I was in college/medical school for the SuperBowl years making many trips back for games. The nonplayoff streak is older than my marriage and my sons. How did some of you survive the 1970's? If you are my age with kids, how do you explain to your kids that they should follow the Bills and not Brady, the Mannings, or now RG3. I live on the West Coast and fortunately the Seachickens are awful too. My two sons' first jerseys were Lynch and Poz. I have no idea what to get them next - Dareus(probably will hold out and demand a trade), Super one tackle Mario, or Spiller (can you where a back-up RB jersey?). Would love to hear your stories...
