Fitz's INT broken down from game film
Dragonborn10 replied to jonramz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love how people break down film in slow motion and can make judgements abou twaht should have been done...It was the right read. He cathces the ball and takes a hit at the goal line with his momentum carrying him into the endzone 95% of the time if he cuts in front of the safety. Right read right throw worng route. Loss. I think the lost timeouts in retrospect were the real killer. With those timeouts I think they might have run the ball in with CJ. It will be the Tenn loss and the dopped INT that will define the rest of the season. Even going 6-1 may not be good enough. -
In retrospect, Anderson's money would have been better spent on another LB. Maybe not carrying two kickers and 4 QB's would afford another LB spot to develop. We all knew their LB's were awful and there is no #2 WR. They did well enough in the draft to fill a bunch of holes. But to think they switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3 and still have no quality LB's is just awful. I have been saying from the beginning that Sheppard is too small to play MLB. I guess he must be too slow to play OLB and to be the nickel MLB. I can not see how he could be any worse than Poz or Barnett as the nickel MLB. Fortunately LB's can play quickly. I would love to see two of the first three picks be LB's.

Just stop pointing out facts...It doesn't help here. It is all Fitz's fault. The defense will turn into a pass rushing nightmare for other teams all while stuffing the RB in the backfield as soon as we turn the offense over to a rookie QB.

Jerry Sullivan can go to hell
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes Sully finally got to me... Good for him he won this time... Usually I am above his least common denominator hack style. But it was the emotion of Fitz during and after the game that set me off. He admits Fitz played better than any Bills QB ever at Gillette Stadium. But yet in the end it was all Fitz's fault. Not Barnett's awful play at LB, not Saint Fred fumbling twice, not Graham for running the wrong route, not a defense that drops two INT's, not useless Lee Smith, or even the most convenient target Mario. No after putting up 31 ppints and making the right read and the right throw the whole loss is all Fitz's fault. So, yes Jerry you win this time. Enjoy looking into the mirror of mediocrity for the rest of your life you two bit hack. -
I am so tired of his columns and have been for years but today I am really pissed off. Maybe he should look in the mirror of mediocrity. He is writing for the Buffalo News not the Washington Post. He writes how Fitz plays the best game by a Bills QB ever at Gillette Stadium, how the defense drops two INT's, that Bardy threw underneath all day, how Spiller doesn't get enough carries, and lastly how Graham ran the worong route. But in the end it is all on Fitz. Total bush league journalism. He writes that Fitz plays his heart out and I suspect he thinks he is clever that he pins the loss all on Fitz in the end. It is one thing to be a homer but to just be a f-in ashole all the time is weak. He doesn't deserve a column covering one of 32 NFL franchises. He doesn't deserve to be the beat writer for WBNA team.

Something that will be looked over
Dragonborn10 replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't Tom Brady have two dropped INT's as well??? Batted balls? What game were you watching? I would argue at least three of his incompletions were on screens that didn't work or throw aways. Fitz has played well enough for this team to win. That is all that need be said. If they lose when the defense only gives up 10 or hell even 21 points then we can talk about Fitz and Gailey. Until then the discussion starts and ends with Wanny and the worst group of LB's in the NFL. -
I just don't know about Nix. Like everything in Buffalo the past decade he has made some good and bad decisions. Glenn looks like very good LT. Too soon to tell how good. Gilmore looks the part. But Carrington, Easley, Troup, Williams are all busts in the making. Resigning Stevie was well done. Barnett was good for a year. If he gets Levitre to resign and Byrd that would be another two jobs well done. Chandler and Urbik look serviceable. Dareus still needs time. I am ok with Nix Gailey Whaley and an entire new defensive coaching staff for one more year. If they are able to resign Levitre and Byrd and then bring in a FA WR or LB before the draft then it may only be one more year. But honestly anything less than 5-2 and a sweep of Miami and victory over the hapless Jets I would get rid of all of them and turn it over to Whaley. If they win out, miss the playoffs due to the Tenn loss, and RW fired all of them I probably wouldn't be upset. That is what it has been like for 12 years. Some things about each individual that are just good enough to give us hope be it DJ and keeping games close, Mularkey's creativity, Bledsoe's 8 hall of fame games, high priced FA signings, hell even TO worked for a while here. So dam close. I guess the common thread has been a lack of the superstar QB that can cover up the other warts. I think the Fitz haters lump him in with Todd Collins, AVP, Losman, and the rest. I think Fitz is so much better than the rest but obviously he is not good enough to overcome the rest of the holes on this team. Brady can overcome a defense that gives up 31 pts. Fitz can not. If Fitz was on Baltimore right now would he be 7-2? I would not give big FA money for Flacco. Is Dalton good because of AJ Green? I don't know. All I know is this season hurts as much as the Bledsoe loss to the Steelers back-ups. This team should be better. Is that coaching or is the best yet to be seen these next 7 games???

Fitz has more balls than anyone on the defense
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you think the offense would put up more points with a rookie QB? -
McKelvin is better than Williams
Dragonborn10 replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why is Rogers playing instead of Brooks??? Rogers is awful. McKelvin should have slid inside and played man on Welker. Wanny is so clueless. How many times is he going to leave Barnett in coverage. -
Reid runs less than Gailey... No thanx Reid and Cowher are the two most overrated HC's of the past two decades Gailey is fine as HC/OC...He just needs to fire the entire defensive staff and start over on that side of the ball yet again

The team is not out of Playoff Hunt
Dragonborn10 replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team is going to kill Miami. They are going to take out their frustrations on NFL network and destroy the Dolphins. You could see the raw emotion on Fitz during his press conference. It will be 28-3 early in the third quarter and they will not let up. Then if they can overcome the emotion of Indy on the road they can win out. This team is so close. Just one break on defense, one pick, one sack-fumble... Just one dialed up blitz at the right moment... It all starts with destroying Miami!!! 9 carries was good enough for 31 points... Would you rather run against Wilfork and Mayo or pass against their horrible secondary??? -
Graham had to have run the wrong route...
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or the wide open slant pattern against a two deep safety look...run the dam right play and it is a TD -
Fitz has more balls than anyone on the defense
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense could have showed up for those games as well...Dropped INT's in both games...Plenty of production by the offense -
Fitz has more balls than anyone on the defense
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does a first round QB help the worst defense in the league? Fitz and the offense are good enough to win in this league. The offense is not routinely going three and out. The defense has plenty of time to rest and injuries are not a problem. The problem is lack of talent at LB and an old washed up coordinator. -
Graham had to have run the wrong route...
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz looked off the safety, came back to what should have been a 14 yard TD pass or at worst stopped at the goal line...Fitz haters will say anything even if it is not true. -

This team needs three LB's before a new QB -
We are two lousy plays away from being in first place
Dragonborn10 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just one lousy coach....Wanny has cost this team three wins -
Fitz has more balls than anyone on the defense
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right about one thing - there is no defense -
Graham had to have run the wrong route...
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a walk in TD if Graham runs the right route. It was a simple post pattern to the goal line. Fitz made the right read on what should have been an easy TD catch. I have no problem with complaints about the Cahndler pass. That was dumb and unneeded. The TJ pass was a game winning TD pass. Doesn't really matter though as the defense would have let Brady get a FG. -
I'm god dam fed up with the Fitz haters. Which player told the Patriots to f-off today? Which guy kept coming? The only defender with any heart is Kyle Williams. Graham ran the wrong dam route. This defense is historically bad. There is no QB on this team better than Fitz. Go ahead and waste a high draft pick on a QB and piss away any chance of making the playoffs next year. This team needs an entire new defensive coaching staff and three LB's. It's obvious. You want Spiller to run the ball more then get the offense the ball back. Make a play on third down. Cause a turnover. Catch the dam tipped ball for a pick-six.

Just watched the INT on the DVR multiple times
Dragonborn10 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a TD if Graham breaks underneath...There is no reason for him to go deep. I can't comment on the Stevie aspect of this but that is a TD pass if Graham makes the right read. -
Will we lose Urbik, Byrd, and Levitre?
Dragonborn10 replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure why they haven't tried to tie up Levitre...maybe he wants out. if I was Byrd I would tell my agent to get me to Baltimore -
Graham had to have run the wrong route...
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's Graham... I am guessing but it looked like he was supposed to run a post to the goal line.. Fitz let the ball go when he should have made his break... he walks into the endzone...the chandler pass was dumb decision - no arguement there...there was planety of time to go underneath to spiller...hell they could have called a screen on first down -
Zebra Report aka piss poor officiation
Dragonborn10 replied to justnzane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Usually it is weak to balme the refs but this was amateur hour today...those two PI calls in the endzone were awful. The Glenn holding was awful. And yes Mario was held many times including his near sack on their final drive
