  1. They are both gone unless they use the tag. The Bills were negotiating agianst themselvbes with Stevie. He is an average WR who may be the best route runner in the league. There was no big market for him though. There will be big money available for both Levitre(3-5th highest paid guard) and Byrd(top paid safety in the league).
  2. They play all the starters with the same game plan as the first 15 games should get it done...can't wait to see the ball go off Lee Smith's hand into Leron Landry's for a pick six...this will happer no later then mid-second quarter
  3. Hopefully he gets it in garbage time after we are losing by 30... Honestly this team is so bad right now... No RT, No TE, No #2,3,4,5 WR... so sad...
  4. If he has connections with Polian don't you think Polian would counsel him to stay the hell away from this organization until RW dies???
  5. Nix should tell Gailey he is done now and that he can not play certain players. If he does not agree there is the door.
  6. Still not sure why any great college coach would leave for the NFL. If you can build a winning program in Wisconsin, Iowa, Oregon, or Boise and you like the area of the country why leave??? You are treated like a God and as long as you don't look the wrong way after a shower incident or go to the local titty bar all is good. You can mostly control your roster and reload at any time. The worst of it is grovelling to some 17 year old in his parent's trailer but that can be mostly done by graduate assistants. I suspect the worst of it has to be the boosters though. Total slime. In the NFL, the boosters = agents and the grovelling is done during FA. It can't be the money because Saban would take a pay cut to go to the Browns. Chip Kelly has Nike's for life...that has to be way better than cheesesteaks for life(Chip might actually be able to literally fill Reid's shoes/clothes after a season or two in Philly)
  7. Rest is the wrong wording obviously but there is no reason to see the good players this team does have risking injury in a meaningless game... Win/lose I really don't care though I would rather they lose... I just want a healthy Wood
  8. Why should the Bills risk injury to Spiller, Wood, Byrd, M. and K. Williams, and Levitre??? Out of respect to them they should sit like this is the final pre-season game. If one of them gets hurt it is total BS. I can see letting Glenn play and continue to get more experience. At least sit them down at the half. I know they may not have the numbers to rest everyone due to the number of players that are allowed to dress. But let T. Choice carry the load. Wood has no business being in there. Byrd can avoid the big hit for a half. Personally I hope they all get food poisoning...
  9. Honestly they should risk getting fined and play an unprepared T Jackson at QB. Let's hope Stevie gets ejected and Byrd, Levitre, and Wood all wake up with the stomach flu...
  10. Safeties are cheap to franchise...Byrd is not going anywhere. They might be screwed on Levitre. Nix fell asleep after he signed Anderson and didn't wake up until they lost to the Colts and the season was over...
  11. Byrd not making it is good/bad. When negotiating a contract he doesn't have the leverage of just being named to the ProBowl. However his agent can use this snub when advising his client as another reason to get away from this losing organization...
  12. Truly hope they show the door to Nix and the entire coaching staff. It is time to turn to Whaley.
  13. I know I will be in the minortiy but Bill Cowher is terribly overrated. Just like Andy Reid he lost many AFC home championship games and the SuperBowl win was a gift from the refs. While he would be an upgrade over everyone we have had I think his time is done. Let him go to Dallas or San Diego and try to win with Romo. Lastly I think he wants to be the personnel guy as well as HC and that almost never works. Belichick is the only guy that has remotely been able to do it and his drafts have been very suspect since Dimitroff left. Jay Gruden is my choice for HC/OC.
  14. Maybe Talley should have made a tackle in the SuperBowl. He is the second most overrated player of all time next to Conlan. I have no idea why this board loves him so much. He did not deserve a place on the wall. Shut up and go away...
  15. I generally agree with not giving up picks and almost always advocate for trading down to aquire more picks. However I thought this was the go for broke year for Nix and Gailey. WR was as weak as LB going into the season even with a healthy Neslon. No one thought Barnett would regress so badly. Wallace has top end speed and had we won a few more games with him that pick could have been in the high teens instead of top 7. Ideally we get a FA WR and the number one is used for Geno Smith or a LB not named T'eo
  16. I advocated for going after Mike Wallace and would have given up 2013 #1 for him before the season started. He has struggled this year as has most of the Steelers offensive unit. Now maybe he can be had on the open market this off-season. At this point I would rather get Bowe from Kansas City. I would rather they go veteran WR and rookie LB than the other way around. Thoughts...
  17. I respect the Steelers but that organization is closer to the Mark Malone/Tommy Maddux years than the Big Ben of a few years ago. They are old on defense, Mike Adams was a bust at LT(though Decastro and Pouncey are great), and have no running game. They will compete with the Browns next year for the cellar. They do not sign big name FA's. They may lose Mike Wallace. They are in trouble...
  18. Wanny is one of the biggest problems with this team. We knew the LB's and WR's were awful. Now we know the game has passed Wanny by. This team has too much invested in the DL to switch back to a 3-4. We need up and coming coordinators to bring new life and energy to this place. Jay Gruden for HC/OC!
  19. You can't be serious??? Barnett and Bradham would not start on any other team and Sheppard probably starts on only a handful of teams. The Bills have the worst set of LB's in the league by far. Everyone knew it before the season started.
  20. I think Chan should go as well but there are lots of coaches that have been coordinators and HC and done well. Andy Reid prior to the last two years was a good example. Gruden called the plays with Tampa Bay. Shanahan called his own plays during and after the SuperBowl years. Sean Peyton called the plays for Brees en route to the Super Bowl. So yes it can be done in the modern NFL...
  21. Dareus was doubled all game and KW was singled. Look to how the opposition plays you to tell who they respect.
  22. Romo is not elite to paraphrase Phil Simms. He is just a notch below Brees, Peyton, Brady, and Rodgers. Romo will not be available and likely will be resigned. If Rivers is somehow available for a mid round draft pick I would take him and see if a change of scenery would resurrect his career. That being said I never liked the guy and thought he was kind of a douche. Still better than Fitz though.
