  1. Totally agree. Play to the whistle and the final snap. If Brady is out there send 9 guys. The only people who woudl be upset would be the Vegas guys... Oh wait never mind keep the score close and don't touch Marcia.
  2. Why do I think Tom Brady would do just fine in any offense? Just grin and take it. He is the best QB of all time. Only Montana is in his league.
  3. I don't understand the Bobby April can be a HC thought/posts? What makes you think he can manage an entire roster? That he can handle in game decisions? That he can evaluate talent and assist in draft selections and player development? I can't say if he can or can not do any of these things. He excelled as a ST's coach in a different era. Gone are the wedges and the wedge busters and the kickoff from the 30 yard line. I can not even be sure he is a competent ST's coach anymore. He did not get the job in Buffalo and he is not so greatly respected around the league that he got an interview for another HC spot. Maybe he is just a very good ST's coach.
  4. Detroit was too busy drafting WR's to worry about the line...
  5. Bruce Smith was out of shape and had no work ethic as a rookie. Then he became a workout demon. Kids can grow up.
  6. They will have their pick of three QB's that may have been projected first rounders in the past in the second round but I would still pass. The QB's are weak. I would be fine with LB, WR, LB, a trade for Matt Flynn with our fourth, TE, Center, DB, Kicker. The Seahawks have to get rid of Flynn. They can't have the back-up making millions more than the starter. He can be had for a mid-round pick as the team trding for him wil have to assume his contract.
  7. It is instituional racism. There is only one black OC in the league, Jim Caldwell. When minorities can't even get coordinator jobs that then in turn give them HC opportunities then yes it is institutional racism. What is even more ludicrous is Todd Bowles getting the DC spot in Arizona. The Eagels defense was awful all year even after he took over mid-season. Mr. Horton just got screwed. Hell I would hire him as assistant head coach, defensive consultant for a year in Buffalo.
  8. There is no QB worthy of the 8th pick. Except Baltimore is their a playoff team that would draft a QB? Denver and New England already have young QB's. There is one or two guys who have been saying no QB will go in the first round. I think that is unlikely but their will be plenty available in the second round. What other team needs a QB? Arizona for sure, us, maybe Dallas if they decide not to renew Romo, Oakland probably, and maybe Kansas City. KC and Oakland likely address their offensive and defensive lines. Maybe Az gets crazy and decides Arians can coach up Kolb. Just sayin I agree...don't reach for a QB this year.
  9. I think the signing of Petine is the best thing that could have happened to Troup. Petine will play both 3-4 and 4-3 though since out LB's suck so bad it will be mostly 4 DL. Troup will get time at NT. Carrington will be the third DT and maybe see time at DE in the 3-4. Johnson will probbaly be cut. I wouldn't be shocked if only Stevie, Graham, and Nelson are the only returnign WR's even for camp. I think they will sign one high profile veteran WR, and then they will need to choose between Easley, Jones, or a new lower tier FA. They will also take a WR in the top 4 rounds. I think Chandler stays. Agree Lindell will be battling all training camp for a spot. If they use a draft pick on a kicker then he is gone for sure. If they just sign an UDFA then it will be a training camp decision. Fitz will be the opening day starter. Thigpen and T Jackson will be gone unless Jackson signs some stupid incentive laden contract. I think they go into camp with Fitz, a dirst round or second round draft pick, and either a I suspect Choice will be back. No reason to waste a draft pick on a RB. He will have to battle an UDFA for the third roster spot. A. Williams will stay especially if they have to tag Byrd instead of signing him to a long term deal. G. Wilson will remain but is out as the starter. Searcy will start at SS. As for the LB's, I truly would be ok with getting rid of every one of them. There is not a starter amongst them. Bradham can stay if he can play special teams. Moats, Barnett, Sheppard, and Morrison will all be gone. I would like to see Kelsay cut as well but I think they bring him back and focus the draft and FA signings at LB.
  10. Te'o is so overrated. Many of the teams he played against will be lucky to have more than one guy get drafted. He got blown up and run over by an Alabama offensive line that was very good but still not elite and by running backs that are second rounders at best. Te'o in round three - sure. Otherwise no thank you. He is all Notre Dame hype. You mean the mormon kid beating off in his college dorm room while having phone sex with his fake girl friend... I want my LB in the strip club thank you very much...
  11. Appreciate all the responses. While I would not have been upset with Lovie I did not want him as coach. Anyone that would hire Mike Tice to be OC or expect to run Mike Martz's offense outdoors in Chicago does not deserve to make the big boy decisions. Would a Lovie Smith and Norv Turner tandem have been better than Gailey/Wanny probably but I like the new fresh faces approach. Even if those faces are all white I am looking forward to an attacking style of defense even if they may not have the DB's to play on the back end of the defense. Can they pull off the K-gun without Kelly and James Lofton? Doubt it but Spiller and Stevie and the line is a start.
  12. Three coordinators. All bald. All snow white. Can a brother get a chance in Buffalo? Anywhere in the NFL? Lovie Smith gets fired after going 10-6. Could be replaced by a CFL coach or Whisenhunt. Whisenhunt's offense was crap without Kurt Warner but his team's defense was good. Does Horton get a job? Not yet. Brian Billick offensive mastermind that he is wins a SB with arguably the greatest defense ever( which he does not oversee) and never has an offense ranked higher than 15th. Both he, Chip Kelly, Bill O'Brien(another Brady product), and the ND blowout coach all get interviews with the Eagles. Do you think they let Fewell even interview for more than an hour before deciding not to reatin him and hire Gailey? Fewell was 3-4 as HC which looks quite good compared to the last guy. Maybe Quentin Tarontino needs to do a movie on the plight of black coaches in the NFL??? Sad part is the NFL looks down right progressive compared to the NCAA...
  13. Same career path? U mean let Polian draft and assemble an amazing team and then fail to control them for one god dam week before the SuperBowl. Or to not be able to stop your QB from calling pass plays when your all world RB and offensive line are blowing gigantic holes in the defense. Did Trestman do that in losing four Grey Cups??? How the hell this guy made the HOF is total BS. He should give his spot up for Andre.
  14. Flacco will be tagged or resigned. Talib will sign a value deal only with a team like the Patriots or 49ers that can win now. I also think Bowe will be out regardless of KC hiring Reid. I like the Fred Davis idea. I don't know much about Smith but didn't Jax have a worse defense than ours? I would not sign a FA LB. They can be had in the draft and can contribute early. I would spend my money on a big time experienced WR that still has upside. Whether there will be one available I do not know. Jennings or Bowe seem the most likely ones.
  15. We were 10th in the league in kickoff yards given up. Kicker is the least of our worries. Let's see that Atlanta kicker make that FG outdoors in the wind. Lindell is fine. There is plenty of other places this team needs to improve. And for the record I agreed with cutting Moorman. He has been declining for years. He may do fine in the dome in Dallas but he had just as many shanks as he did boomers in Buffalo and showed no skill at landing it inside the twenty anymore.
  16. Anything but Harbaugh v Harbaugh...Two weeks of family stories woud be even worse than two weeks of Brady is the greatest QB of all time talk(I already agree but don't want to listent to it for two weeks)...
  17. Words evolve over time. I would suspect if you ask most Americans what the word Redskin meant they would answer a football team. Why they chose that name and why they stick with it is probably as dumb and unknown as why they chose Bills.
  18. Let Miami overp ay for Jennings and go after Bowe instead. Hopefully Andy Reid thinks he can get by with no-name WR's like he failed with in Philly.
  19. Where do they get the ratings? It has to be people leaving the TV set on while mowing the lawn waiting for kickoff.
  20. For the record I think Watt is juiced as well. I like Harabugh's approach. I just can't stand the rah rah, viloent hansdshake, bravado crap. He is not out there playing physical football. He was a POS QB who appears to be a very good and maybe excellent coach. Of course he inherited a top 3 defense and a great OL and very good running back. Have to give him credit for the guts to switch QB. It is also painful because i like the 49ers. Just rubs me the wrong way.
  21. 1. The NFL is becoming more like college and I don't mean the spread offenses. I mean the quality of NFL defenses is awful. The rules are so in favor of the offense and there are simply not enough athletes on defense to keep up with the multiple skill position athletes on offense. 2. Spend high draft picks on the lines. Yes I know QB's are the key to SuperBowls. But the offensive line is just as important. Want to know why the BIlls have been awful for so long, two first round draft picks on the offensive line in twenty years. 3. I think Clay Mathews was on steroids just like Cushing was at USC. Mathews has only gone downhill since his rookie year. Cushing got caught and Mathews probably stopped using or at least cut back. 4. I can't stand Jim Harbaugh but I do not see how they aren't the SB favorites now that Denver is gone. 5. I changed my mind. If the Bills can't sign either Byrd or Levitre I think they should tag Levitre. I know it is more expensive to tag a guard as opposed to a FS, but they need to keep the line intact. Williams can move to safety if they can't bring them both back. I had thought Levitre would be easier to replace but there are too many holes at LB, WR, and QB to use a middle round draft pick on a guard.
  22. The Jets have worse skill postion players than we do by far. They had virtually no one at WR once Holmes went down. Sanchez is better than he showed and Sporano is as bad as advertised. I met Bill Parcells once so maybe I am qualified to be an OC in the league???
  23. The Ravens have two LB's playing with injuries that should have kept them out for months longer...I think we need their doctor in Buffalo.
  24. I would rather have ex Jet OC Schottenheimer instead of Hackett. Hackett would have been a better choice as QB coach for a year or two.
