  1. the whole !@#$ing staff for a guy with a torn achilles?????? the top 7 or 8 te's are already signed including the jets te with the dolphins....for christ sake can we get another couple lbs
  2. Greg Cosell ranks Nassib the best QB in the draft. If he can be had at #41 I say take BPA at # 8. If Smith or Milliner is there at 8 there should be willing trade partners to move down and still take a QB in the second round.
  3. A bit unfair as they used multiple picks to trade for Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe. I'm not saying that is right or wrong but it is not fair to say they have not used picks for acquiring QB's.
  4. Actually it is not lost on anyone on this board. We neeed two TE's because Chandler was a good TE for 1996 not so much in 2013. Coming off an ACL he is going to be worthless and probably will not make the team.
  5. Actuaaly it was more like a very good year followed by a very average to bad year filled with questionable decisions and a rag arm....no thank you...he can take his team jesus act 2.0 somewhere else
  6. Arm strength is only one factor and I actually think it has little to do with throwing deep. Arm strength is more important for getting the ball from point A to point B as fast and as accurately as possible. Everyone knows the windows are smaller in the NFL. Intelligence, quickness of release, accuracy, arm strength, pocket awareness, mobility. That is the order of importance for me.
  7. Has anyone else gotten the feeling the owners are getting the best of the players in this year's FA bonanza? I think only Wallace and Levitre have gotten over the top deals. Krueger and Ellerbee got big but not gigantic contracts. Everyone else seems to be settling for lesser deals or have no deals at all. Two years for Avril and Welker? I think the early negotiating period hurt the players. It gave the owners a chance to see what the market was for guys and hold firm on salaries.
  8. I'm all in on an OL in the first round. I would favor trading back if at all possible. Hopefully with only 6 picks Nix realizes what everyone knows. There is little difference from pick 5 to pick 25 in this draft. I hope Millner or someone falls to 8 that will generate some interest. I fear no one will want to move up. I like the idea of a OT or Warmack in the first round and then QB/BPA the rest of the way. Just don't don anything stupid like trading away next years top 3 pick to get back into the bottom of the first round. Trade back at every chance in this draft and get two QB's even.
  9. To quote you. The Chiefs had no one at QB and could have chosen Smith as their QB of the future. Instead Andy Reid took Alex Smith. I will trust Reid's opinion and pass on trading up for Smith. If he drops to 8 so be it. If not and Milner falls then trade down and get a QB later.
  10. Another decent player the Bills could have used goes to the competition. While I agree they overpaid for Wallace, signing Keller is a great move. He is not Gronkowski or Gonzalez but few if any players are. He is a very solid dual threat TE. Are we going to do anything with this cap space???
  11. Where do people think he will end up? I would have said San Francisco, Arizona, NY Giants, Baltimore, Indianaoplis, or Minnesota. Looks like Minnesota just signed Cassell as a back-up. Maybe Jacksonville is the only place where he would actually compete for a starting spot. Those other teams would be perfect for a very good back-up with a little mobility. I know who cares. Look I like the guy and telling Spikes to go F himself was the highlight of the last decade of QB play. I hope he lands a good job and gets a ring in San Francisco.
  12. Kyle Williams is not worth dropping 6 picks in the draft - even this one. He is coming off one foot surgery and may need another(I never heard if he had surgery on his other foot last year). He has been a non-facotr ever since getting his big contract too. Byrd is a true talent and the Bills have very little. The only way he gets moved is if a long term deal can not be worked out.
  13. This is a 4-3 look. If they stay in a 4-3 Sheppard will not make the team. He can't play MLB in a 4-3 and is not a nickel LB. If the switch to a 3-4 he will make the team and probably start. He may only see 20-25% of the defensive plays though even if the 3-4 is the base defense. Almost eveyone's base defense is a 4 man line with nickel DB. Most teams play that set 60% of the time. We may play a three safety look quite a bit too. I think we will see a lot of A. Williams and Byrd playing together. McKelvin is going to be great this year. Anderson will be a situational pass rusher only. Carrington will start opposite Darues at the DE's. Troupe/Wiliams will rotate at NT. Darues moves to DT in a four man line.
  14. Brady Cheating Brady Get lucky with some guys like Harrison and Vrabel Draft poorly Brady Have your assistants get overpaid and suck everywhere they go to make you look smarter than you actually are Brady Honestly is it so hard to figure out... Brady is the best QB in league history. He would have 5 rings if their defenses didn't lose fourth quarter SB leads. He has played poorly in maybe one playoff game at Denver. Other than that the guy has been virtually flawless. And it was all luck. Write it down as many times as you can and tell your kids now because in twenty years history will record how smart and what a genius Belicheat was.
  15. Very good OG but not even top 10 in the league and they are paying him top 3 money. We need WR's, QB's, TE's, and LB's and lots of them. Can't waste that money on a guard. He should have been locked up last year at a lower cost. Nix blew that one. He should have told Jackson he is old and be thankful he has a job in the NFL and a year left on his contract. Then he should have used that money to sign Levitre. Water under the bridge now. Get Byrd locked up long term and then try to get Wood signed before training camp.
  16. If we play a 3-4 isn't Mario one of the starting OLB's? He may be big enough to play some 3-4 DE but he is taller than he is wide/stocky to play a 3-4 DE. I think if we play a true 3-4 Mario is the OLB and Bradham moves to ILB or the bench. Maybe Lawson is the back-up for both the OLB and ILB spots. Will be interesting to see how this defense is structured.
  17. I did not think anyone could do a worse job than Levy but in true Bills fashion they have topped their own ineptitude. Nix misfired on a coach and a QB. How can he possibly keep his job? They are the two most crucial parts of a team and he blew both decisions. With regard to QB I am not sure we could be in worse shape. This team is in total disarray with gaping holes in every unit. This is a total cluster f%*$.
  18. This is emberassing. The Browns have now added two more very good defenders to a very good defense already. We are in total rebuild mode. The next move will be to give away next year's number 1 to KC to draft Geno Smith - a guy who has second round talent at best.
  19. Agreed. This is not an I heard of him signing. WR's take time to develop. He has the speed and he may just need a bit more time. I would not mind bringing him in at all.
  20. Not worth that kind of money. Nix/Whaley had better have a plan for the OL though...
  21. Wow crow tastes bad... Did not see this happening even though it was talked about endlessly... Full on rebuilding mode now...
  22. I think they might if Milner or Jones were on the board. It only takes one team ahead of us to do something unexpected and a guy could fall. What if Arizona takes Barkley? What if Jones is gone and Jordan is there but Petine doesn't think he fits our defense? If I am Minnesota I don't make that trade either as I always want to move down. It would take somebody like Millner falling.
  23. No one else has posted the idea so I thought I would. Straight up our pick for Minnesota's two number 1's seems unfair. If they kicked in a fourth this year or a third next I would make that trade. At 23 or 25 they would still get a top tier LB, OL, or WR, and would likely have their choice of any QB not named Smith.
