  1. It all comes to an end when O'Bannon wins his law suit. Everyone knows the NCAA, the schools, and the athletic departments are making millions off of these kids. The kids have no ability to leave their school while the coaches can come and go as they please. The scholarships in real dollars are pennies on the income the teams generate. In 5 years there will be 30-40 schools that pay their players and have a playoff system - I'm sure we could all name the schools. The rest of the schools will have a traditional scholarship program.
  2. Tom Brady or Joe Montana - there need be no others
  3. 8/4/1979 My grandparents took me to see the Bills play the Steelers in a Pre-season game. I was 8. Hooked ever since.
  4. Wow I hope people realize we are counting on a former 4th round pick who started a handful of games at OLB in a 4-3 defense to be a significant contributor presumably at ILB in a mostly base 3-4 defense. Yeah I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm betting Bradham sees time only as Lawson's backup or playing OLB when Mario plays DE in a four man front. He probably plays 30-40% of the defensive snaps all year.
  5. LA and all of Southern California seems to be a place where people end up from somewhere else. Hell even the teams are from somewhere else most of the time...Lakers, Dodgers, Raiders... I suspect TV viewership may be just fine if they show the best game of the week. In the end it will be corporate dollars or lack of that will decide the Bills' and Buffalo's fate.
  6. Kolb starts the first 14 games at which point they are 6-8 and eliminated from the playoffs with a devastating road loss at Jacksonville. EJ era begins week 15 at home against the fish. EJ plays great and eliminates Miami from the playoffs.
  7. Unit - LB's. Yes I know they are regarded as the worst unit but they are so bad they are still overrated Player - Stevie - He is a very good #2 but no team game plans to stop him. Even Mario, KW, and Dareus are schemed against All time - Moorman, Conlan, Talley, Levy, Levitre
  8. What mistake did he make? He forced his way out of a loser organization, made tons of money, and still played at a Pro-Bowl level...you are just upset because you are likely still living with your parents...
  9. Now all they need to do is get Byrd caged up for the next five years. Of course if Williams can play FS maybe they trade him for an awesome LB. Hope Manuel really challenges for starting spkt.
  10. Now that Jason Collins has come out maybe Tebow will feel more comfortable...
  11. Offense: Spiller but don't be surprised if Robert Woods isn't the second best Defense: Gilmore just beats our Mario, but truly hoping Dareus becomes the dominant force on the line ST: McKelvin is as dangerous as Spiller. If the criteria is other teams game planning against a player then he qualifies. Truly hope they still let him return punts.
  12. Then he doesn't accrue a year in the league and he could be franchised again for two more years...he needs to sign and show up by week 10 or something like that for the season to count. See Patriots- Logan Mankins
  13. You simply can not justify not paying Peters while at the same time pissing away millions to Dockery, Langston Walker, Mark Anderson, and countless other stiffs this organization has signed. He was great prior to the injury. He was an All-Pro not just an alternate like Kyle Williams. He is the type of player that change franchises. He is the guy that you get in the rookie FA market that allows you to swing and miss year after year in the draft. Great franchises find these guys or even if they luck into them they don't let them leave and creating yet more holes in an already weak team. I am perfectly ok with anyone who says the interior line is more important than tackles these days. Getting in the QB's face and disrupting timing routes in today's NFL seems more important than rushing from the outside. Same team didn't pay Levitre either. Some other team paid him the market rate. Why no hatred for Levitre? What happens this year when they don't sign Wood?
  14. You people kill me...Outside of Schoebel, another TBD favorite(sarcasm for the dull), Peters was the most talented player on this team in the last ten years. You all get your nuts in a twist over cutting the punter but don't care that the team traded away a franchise LT. If you want to argue LT's are overrated in todays short drop quick throw league I am down with that. But at the time he was the best LT in the league, and he got the money the market was paying. Imagine yourself at work being the highest performer, and some fat slob lured away from another company gets paid way more than you to occupy the office next to you. The he proceeds to suck at his job. Imagine that co-worker is Derrick Dockery and see how long you would put up with getting paid less than him????
  15. DT's take years to develop. I am not sure whta people are expecting. The other picks to make the Pro-Bowl were LB, LT, WR, and DB as a returner not as a defender if I am not misrememberring the draft.
  16. First of all Flacco wil never see all that money. It is a 3 year deal and both sides know it. Flacco has three more years to prove he shoul dget another big deal. Reed is old. Bouldin is overrated and easily replaced. Lewis was retiring anyways. With the QB spot locked up for three years Newsome can focus the draft on support players. And I wouldn't be shocked if Byrd is playing FS for them in 2014.
  17. Head, helmet, frozen grass = gumming your food in your fourties... No thank you. Ask RG3's knee how it likes grass field...
  18. Oh please...the players said the same things about Gailey, Williams, Mularkey, and Jauron... Can we wait until the games are played? Do you think Tom Brady will be scared or fooled by Rex Ryan's understudy? Will anyone fear an offense more simple than Florida State's which is run by a guy actually named Jimbo???
  19. 1. Lindell will be signed by another team at some point as an injury replacement 2. A DT will be let go that will make another team and don't be surprised if it is Kyle Williams. He has no place in a 3-4 defense. And he has two bad wheels... 3. Brad Smith would likely be picked up Don't see another player unless Troup or Carrington don't fit what Petine wants and they get a shot somewhere else If A. Williams gets cut then he likely has bust written all over him and I doubt he makes another squad. He is an awful CB.
  20. Smith was 3 for 10. In OTA's? No contact. I really do think Rex could complete more than 3 for 10. So glad we passed.
  21. If I were Byrd's agent I wouldn't show this as a highlight reel. The majorityof those picks were on overthown balls where the WR was open and Byrd was late in getting there. I know it has been said a lot. And I do think he has gotten better in coverage. And I would make him the highest paid safety in the league. We need to keep our good players. They have the budget and cap room to do it. But that video does not help his case...
  22. Why do we need Brad Smith? Hard to really justify him as a veteran presence for the young WR's. He played QB in college and is learning the position as much or more than the rookies. He doesn't have the speed of Graham, Rogers or Goodwin. He doesn't have the route running of Stevie or Woods. There are many others that can return punts or catch kick-offs. I just don't see him making the team unless they keep 6 WR's.
  23. Please enjoy a little break from the off-season and play along... Please list what you think is the biggest drop-off from an original movie to it's sequel... While there are many horrible movie sequels. I think the largest gap is between Caddyshack and Caddyshack 2. The sequel is routinely in the top 10 worst of all time lists and the original is often listed in top 10 sports movies. Your choice?
  24. Moulds was far more dominant. Evans TD rate was much higher though so maybe the gap between the two is not as great as we all think. And I would argue his QB's were far worse than Moulds.
  25. Unfortunately I also don't believe you can teach accuracy. If you could Fitz would still be the starter here. Hopefully EJ's high completion percentage carries over into the NFL.
