If EJ is healthy for week 1 and Leinart looks ok in practice I think they will cut Kolb. Tuel was awful enough to get cut and still be on the practice squad. Though trading for a QB from the Lions makes me think Tuel may not even be in their PS plans. Pretty sure Leinart has been around long enough to guarantee his salary if he is on the week one roster.

San Francisco is short on WR's. I would trade Graham for Lattimore and IR him. We will need another great back next year to comp-liment CJ.

Yes downing inside the 20 is nice. It is partially luck, partially his teammates making a play, and partially on the return guy. Everyone is happy we have a KO guy who should have the opponent start at the tweny most of the time. I will take less shanks and an occasional 65 yarder when the ball is on our side of the field over the coffin corner.

What a shock - a drunk got testy with security and got kicked out of the stadium... I still say double the prices and cut out 10-20% of the seats. Then it will be an enjoyable experience again. I won't take my kids unless I buy club level. I went to Bills-Cards last year with my 9 and 10 year old. Had a great time in the luxury section. I'm flying in for Bills Chiefs if I can find Van Miller seats.

What other FA CB was available for less money? There is plenty of room under tha cap. He has great speed. We have no one else to play DB opposite Gilmore. We have a host of other worries on this team besides McKelvin. We have no tight ends, 3-4 rookie WR's, a weird mix of LB's, and a SS who can't cover anyone. I would spend your time worrying about those issues and not McKelvin.

He has the same problem that Adrian Petersin has... He is the best player on this team and there is no way he is jeopardizing his career playing in a meaningless game at 3/4 speed with others trying to prove themselves.

I don't think they keep three QB's. Tuel is nothing special to anyone else and there were lots of QB's drafted last year to fill needs around the league. I think they keep two QB's and Smith. Any chance they keep just two TE's? I mean Smith is awful. Hell all of them are awful. The while unit barely has a NFL capable player. Remember the Lions run and shoot. They just brought an extra lineman in to block. I would rather have Hairston out there than any of these guys to block. Maybe Gragg can be a downfield threat. At this point I would rather carry 6 WR's with Easely as a WR/TE and an extra player somewhere else.

Of all the conspiracy theories this one is actually with some merit. I could see one of the WR's getting IR'd. I would rather go with the potential of rogers over Hogan or Easley. That being said I would rather have Easley as the third TE and get rid of Smith.

Passblocking is passbloblocking whether the other team's defense blitzes or not. If your scheme is to generate pressure with blitzes and you have all new coaches/personnel how else do you evaluate them???

Chip is just waiting for an SEC job to open up... If the cupboard was not so bare at Auburn right now he may have taken that job after Chizik was fired. However he didn't know if NCAA sanctions would follow him. The NCAA slapped Oregon on the wrist. He will be in the SEC or at Texas in 2015. I do think he is smart enought to coach in the NFL. I don't think he will do well with the media spotlight. He couldn't handle Oregon. In the end the people of Philly and the media there will dislike his attitude.

Wait for guys to get cut. If both of these guys are on the second team maybe one of them gets cut as no team can keep too many extra lineman especially if they can not play tackle.

Why do people take guys holding out personally? First of all none of the players care about you or the city. None of them. Did Peyton Manning offer to take a paycut to stay in Indianaoplis? They are getting paid to play. They want money and maybe some fame in that order. Byrd deserves to be paid top three safety money and to be the second highest paid player on the defense after Mario. He has earned it. The FO blew it not signing Levitrea nd Byrd last year. Now they are paying the price. He will show up two days before the fourth pre-season game. He will not dress for that game and he will start against the Patriots. He will make the ProBowl and deserve to be the highest paid safety in the league.

Let him play most of the fourth game. If he does well he can be trade bait next year. Highly doubt they go into the season with just EJ and Tuel but it sure would be nice to carry only two QB's. It would let us keep an extra WR or OL.

Agreed. Wilson had a vanilla offense for 1/2 the season and ran more in the first half. Luck threw bubble screens and ran the pistol for most of the season. Only Luck aired it out from day one. And I'm sure that was not by choice. Their running backs are awful. He was forced to throw early.

Kiko Alonso - for a guy who is expected to start at MLB I have not read anything about him. Also as above have not read much about Woods or Wood. For those in the know would love to know how they are doing...

Manuel never dominated in the ACC. Goodwin runs track. Alonso may be a slightly bigger less frail version of Poz - too slow. Cragg is another in a long line of low round TE's that suck. He survives he cut only because Chandler is coming off injury and Lee Smith is so bad he doesn't even fit into an NFL uniform. Other than that trade of the century!

He played a ton in the slot last year too so this is not that much of a change. He and Fitz were great in the red zone with Stevie lined up inside.
