Ron Brooks to Start at CB

Do the Pats have a #1 WR? -
I would say we have a better chance of being 3-13 than making the playoffs. That is because I think it will take 10-6 to get a wildcard or winning the division to make the playoffs. I'm hoping for 9-7 with meaningful games in December. Unfortunately I think I will be cursing my Direct Tv bill before Halloween. 5-11. This team needs one more solid draft, a playmaker at OLB(I think at best we have solid contributiors at OLB now but no one that teams gameplan around), and a superstar WR(maybe they have one or two already) if EJ proves he can play. If he can't then it is back to the drawing board.

Can the Bills name Tuel the starter...
Dragonborn10 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes Mallett is crap but have you seen our secondary? The only reason to start Tuel is so he can be a historical footnote as an undrafted rookie FA to start the first game of the season. It would be disrespectful to him to let him start and then get pulled just for this reason. -
Bills to sign K Dan Carpenter
Dragonborn10 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stephen Gostkowski, career 84 % accuracy. That wousl be 6th best in NFL history and better than Vinatieri. Played in 104 of 112 games. Mulitple Pro-Bowls. 4th round pick. Kickers are people too... -
Stevie Johnson: Pats can't 'stop me'
Dragonborn10 replied to Stevie's Johns0n's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True that... Without Brady they are a 6-7 win team. Their defense was much better the year Brady got hurt. Belichick think s he is so smart letting all his good defensive players walk. Well he can't find a corner or a safety worth a dam now. And Seymour is stil producing years after being traded. -
(Update) Jim Leonard back in Buffalo
Dragonborn10 replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well he is slow and solidly white. Sign him up!. Hell why not bring back Marv and Nix as well. Lil Jim had one very good season playing next to a future HOF safety. That was half a decade and two leg injuries ago. If this is the best they can do then shame on the FO. Shame!!! -
In mild cases it hurts for the first four or five steps after a period of inactivity. After that it doesn't really bother you. The problem is there is no treatment but rest. You an wear boots at night and do special wraps but most of that is just voodoo. He will be fine to play as long as he stays active on the sideline. It will be worse early in the week and get better towards the end of the week. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't practice on Wednesdays to allow it to rest. Could he be faking? Maybe? It is a clinical diagnosis meaning an MRI would be normal unless his case was severe. If severe an MRI would show inflammation and even small tears in the fascia. It typically is an overuse injury. But you can stretch or tear the fascia at anytime. I hurt mine while running a steep uphill trail.

Brandon Burton to the Bills
Dragonborn10 replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If these are last years cap numbers then everything is explained by the money spent on the QB position. Indy and Cinci had rookie or second year QB's. Baltimore had not resigned Flacco to his huge contract yet. And Dallas had already given big money to Romo and incredibly would give more this offseason. The Bills cut Fitz because they didn't want to pay him his money due. That is fine but the could and should have spent that money elsewhere. I'm ok not breaking the bank for Levitre but they could have signed Byrd last year. I would have spent the money on Mike Wallace. -
with the 3 open spots who are picking up
Dragonborn10 replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are not going to win this year. Take this chance to find a capable OL that can add depth and challenge for a spot next year. -
Ok Tim now do the right thing. Now that this pahse of your life is over it is time to move on. Come out of the closet. It is actually quit fashionable now to be gay and a Jesus freak. You can do it.

Kolb is gone for the year. I know people have advocated for Ej and Tuel but that is just insanity. I hope EJ takes every snap this year but that is just not reality. Leinart was so bad that I now think they won't bring him back after week 1. With no Brad Smith I think they will carry three QB's all year. I think the veteran back-up is not on the roster at this time and they will sign a player that gets cut later this week. I'm still not sure if they sign him before or after the first game. My hunch is they go into the Pats game with EJ and Tuel and prayer. Then they add a veteran after the game. Maybe Grossman???

Bills roster cut down to 50 (-18 then -5 more)
Dragonborn10 replied to zazie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It means EJ is healthy and they can stil bring back Leinart after week 1 and his salary won't be guarantted for the year. -
1. Offer Spiller a small amount of money less than what Peterson is getting 2. Extend Carrington next 3. Make Byrd earn his money And Move A. Williams back to CB until Gilmore is back.

Fearless Predictions of our season
Dragonborn10 replied to hmsmystic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5-11 We are just too young at WR and QB to keep up with even average teams. That does not mean they have not improved the talent on the team. This year is all about EJ and the WR's getting experience and Wood making it through the season uninjured. Glenn needs to continue to develop or he will be moved to guard next year and we draft an elite LT next year. They will draft O-line early and often next year regardless of this year. They can use depth everywhere along the line. Look at what San Francisco has for their line. Three first round picks. Sprinkle in another LB next year too. -
I don't think anyone really believes their FO is great. They did well with mid-level FA's early on but their drafts and FA signings have been poor for years. Even look at their decision to give Hernandez a big extension. It looks as if they knew he had drug issues. I think they passed on the greatest QB of all time 5 times just like everyone else did. Brady is everything to that team. Brady is two defensive lapses away from winning 5 SuperBowls. We denied for years what he is. But he is the one.

Da'rick Rogers cleared waivers
Dragonborn10 replied to Floridabillsfan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He can't be signed to any team's practice squad now. He can be signed by anyone now to their roster but would have to be cut again and clear waivers again to go to the new teams practice squad. I think they will not bring him back until someone gets injured during the year. He may be a mid-season PS signing assuming some other team doesn't sign him. And just to clarify if he is on any team's PS he can be signed off that squad to any other teams 53 man roster. -
Gotta wonder if he was on steroids in college and is now off the juice

We have to go New York Giants to beat the pats
Dragonborn10 replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he is saying what we all know. We have faced the second best QB of all time ( Best is Montana ) and lost 20 times (two others were against Cassell I think). -
We have to go New York Giants to beat the pats
Dragonborn10 replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong. That is playing to their strength. They are stout against the run. 4 WR sets with Spiller and Jackson on the field at the same time. Make them cover our RB's out of the backfield with LB's. Leave the TE's at home. They are awful. If we need to run just bring in another lineman. -
Hairston down, hits keep coming

Another site said out for the year... Anyone know which is true? I thought this was the designation that he can be brought back this year. -
The Bills will sign another CB
Dragonborn10 replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A. Williams can move back to corner for a while. At the time of the draft didn't Nix say Duke Williams could play a little corner as well??? I'm not opposed to signing a veteran CB but they do have options as long as McKelvin stays healthy. -
The Bills offseason (sans draft) was brutal
Dragonborn10 replied to Nostradumbass's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree and diagree. Wilson and Barnett were dreadful last year. How much was that Wanny or just them I don't know but they were not good. Would Barnett be better back at MLB where he played well in 2011 - maybe. Overall LB's are better but still not good. We have cap space because this team lacks any superstars. Even Fitz's contract was not top 10. Cap management has been historically poor and the choice of which playwers to retain and at what price has been spotty at best over the decades. I agree with not giving Levitre the money Tenn gave him IF you are going to use that money elsewhere. If they sign Wood and Spiller to long term deals this week then all is good. If not this team is royally screwed next off-season. Wood and Byrd will be FA's and Spiller will be in the last year of his rookie contract and will hold-out for an extension. Oh yeah and we still don't have an NFL capable tight end on this team.
