  1. I was at the game with my boys. Was waiting for the flyover by the airforce Jets especially since they were honoring vets. It was not overcast at that time. For those that are able to go to all the games do they have jet flyovers still?
  2. Thought it was a great trade by Cleveland at the time and posted as such. Bills should have done the same with Spiller. I posted that too and got blasted for it. Well now we sit at 4-8, out of the playoffs with a guy who wasn't even on the field for the most important drive of the game, and will likely be a training camp hold out next year.
  3. Priorities are to resign Byrd and Branch. Let Chandler walk. I would keep Carpenter and let Hopkins walk. Open competition for punter. I would like to keep Carringrom and Leonhard. Thad Lewis is fine for a back-up. The rest can go. If I'm Byrd I don't resign unless they offer top safety money. If they don't want to pay that money then franchise him and trade him. Byrd has the leverage now. He can sit out until week 10 next year and show up for the final six games, claim he is injured and walk away from this nightmare franchise. Baltimore, NY Giants, Washington, Philadelphia would all make him highest paid safety in the league.
  4. On the TD reception the Bills lined up Ron Brooks and he played him man to man with no inside help. If he beats Brooks on a fade pattern to the corner so be it. Not much a safety could help on that type of pattern. But an inside slant? There should have been a safety or ILB taking that passing lane away.
  5. Defense gave up 34 points? They didn't lose the game?
  6. Not doubling Gonzalez in the red zone is inexcusable. Six sacks? Come on - on two of them Ryan fell down. He had time to throw. No safety blitzes. Hughes rushed as a DE most of the time. Still can't stop the run. Gave up 34 points in a game we should have won by double digits. He needs to go back to blitzing early and often. With the rules in this league it is the only way to win.
  7. 1. TE - Draft two next year. Cut Lee Smith at the end of the season. 2. WR - Graham needs to go. Give two first rounders for Larry Fitzgerald. 3. LB - Kiko was awful today. Not saying he needs to be replaced but he still looks too small to play MLB. I would be ok with another MLB and moving him to weak OLB. 4. Add depth to OL 5. Resign Branch and Carrington
  8. Atlanta's offensive line is horrible and Ryan is a statue. Instead of dialing up blitzes and forcing the issue he dropped into coverage. Ryan had way too much time to throw.
  9. If they are 7-9 and EJ looks the part of a franchise QB I will be happy. This season was all about EJ, Petine, and Marrone. Next year we get the dynamic TE this team needs so desperately.
  10. Cleveland had three times the history and perhaps the greatest player of all time, Baltimore won championships and one of the greatest QB's in NFL history, Oakland was an original AFL team with multiple SuperBowl wins... Money rules all the decisions Every city has great fans except in Florida and Los Angeles. The lackluster fan interest in LA may be the best chance a team doesn't move there. Honestly people in California could care less if LA gets a team. I agree the NFL probably doesn't want the Bills to move. But they also want a franchise that can attract big corporate dollars. That doesn't exist in Buffalo. Doesn't exist in Green Bay either but they will never move as they are owned by the city. I'm not sure the NFL thinks Toronto is a good idea either. The NBA can not win there. Free agency is a tremendous part of the sucsuccess or failure of NFL teams. The Canadian tax situation makes FA very difficult.
  11. When it comes to future ownership and moving the team I am afraid, yes the sky is actually falling
  12. I assume you mean in the off season becasue hardly anything can be done now... 1. The first day thatByrd can be signed I would make him highest paid safety in the league. 2. Trade Spiller and next years number one to Arizona for Larry Fitzgerald. 3. Find a quality Guard/Center to sign to a decent contract. He competes for LG spot. 4. Sign Branch to a reasonable extension. 5. Let Carrington walk 6. See if A. Williams will extend his contract with a bit of a disocunt knowing he is getting extension a bit early. Reversing my usual recommendation, I trade Stevie and a second to get back into the first round and take the highest rated TE. In rounds three and later I focus on LB's, DB's, and OL. Maybe take a flyer on a QB late.
  13. Let's face the facts. The Bills win one SB and Reed, Hull, and maybe even Tasker make the HOF. Without that one win then all the comparisons start to kick in. I would have no issue with Reed not making it if they had not selected Art Monk. No matter the number of catches he had nobody game planned to stop Art Monk. But when they selected Monk, Reed should have been next in line before Irvin. He was a more dominant player than Monk and Reed had far better stats than Irvin. Monk wasn't even the best WR on his team. As for Tim Brown I never saw him as a HOF reciever. I suspect people in Oakland feel the same way about Reed.
  14. While I agree Moorman is not good it makes little sense to bring in anyone else at this point. Plus he holds for Carpenter. They have an entire off season to try out kickers. Use the Levitre compensatory pick to bolster the OL. Trade down in the fourth and get an extra fifth. Draft "best punter" again.
  15. Why? Richardson has been great. Much better than Dareus was his rookie year. Not to diminish Kiko, but DT is much harder to play well as a rookie. To Kiko's credit though he is a three down MLB. That is impressive too. I think if the Bills go on a little hot streak here and Kiko gets one more highlight play he may edge out Richardson.
  16. Goodwin is a WR with olympic speed. Graham is a track star that hasn't figured out how to play WR yet. I have not given up on him but if they draft a WR high or sign one in FA it is to challenge for his spot.
  17. I will go unit instead of player because any of the top three mentioned is deserving. The LB's are 200% better than last year. Lawson may be the best FA signing in the entire league. Still have my worries about Kiko's size but his instincts and tackling ability are truly great. I worry about him going against Gronk but honestly no one wins that match-up. Now that Moats and Hughes have firmly put Bradham on the bench this group can create some havoc both rushing the passer and dropping into coverage. Truly a complete turnaraound from a disaster to a position of strength. I need to see more from Woods and a healthy SJ to elevate the WR's.
  18. 1. He hasn't done enough with this team. 2. You can argue the Jets are playing better without him. 3. The hot D-coordinator is the Bengals' Mike Zimmer
  19. Want to keep this guy and people like him out? Build a new stadium with only 62,500 seats and raise the ticket prices 35%.
  20. Byrd will be highest paid safety in the league next year. Pay him.
  21. If we go 8-8 and pick 16th or lower, then trade our #1 for Fitzgerald. If they can't get Fitzgerald then focus on the tight end and offensive line via FA and the draft.
  22. Anybody watch Luck against the Rams last weekend... Let's give it a few more games... That being said I think I'm done with the Graham experience.
  23. Woods is a solid #2 WR. So is Stevie. They are far away from Calvin Johnson, Dez, or Fitzgerald. Kiko had a great start. I hope he continues to play well but he is smaller than most middle linebackers. No glaring needs on defense? There is no traditional run stuffing strong safety with any talent. Hughes is soft against the run. Lawson is not much of a pass rusher. DE opposite Mario is a mess unless Dareus moves out to DE. Both guard positions and RT are average at best. Solid is fair to say and Glenn looks like he can be All-pro.
  24. Spiller is not an instinctive RB and never will be. He should have been traded for a TE, a WR, or a high draft pick. He is more of a track athlete than Goodwin is at this point. And I think he has exericse induced asthma or a heart condition. Gailey was right. He gets winded. After even short runs he is very tachypneic. Just watch the game next week and look at his breathing compared to Jackson.
  25. Nah, I'm flying in for the game with my two boys. Win is guaranteed.
