  1. The Bills can extend Dareus now. They should pay him now while the QB position does not take up huge dollars. I would not sign Spiller to a long term deal. Let him play his final year and see if he can stay healthy. Then franchise him. Draft Fred's replacement late this year or Spiller's replacement in the early rounds of 2015 draft. Get two more years out of Spiller and then you already have his replacement just like Denver did with Moreno and Ball. No need to destroy future cap space on an aging RB.
  2. Trade down. Draft Ebron. Chandler, Gragg, and Moaki can fight it out for the other two spots. Cut Lee Smith now. Use the extra pick and rounds 2-3 for a true SS, a RT, and Aaron Murray.
  3. The same reason the national media doesn't talk about the Bills in November, December, and January. They are irrelevant after the 9th pick in the draft is over and usually by Halloween.
  4. Spiller has no vision, can't break a tackle, and has way too many negative plays. He has killer speed but two coaching staffs have not been able to use him effectively in the passing game. He can not pass block anyone - a DB, a LB, or even chip a DE. No doubt when he makes it to the second level he can beat the linebackers and safeties on speed alone. He has truly elite speed but simply is not a good RB. I don't think it can be taught either. I think it is just running instincts and he simply doesn't have them. He doesn't read blocks well, he doesn't know when to follow a blocker instead of running past him, and I think he simply has no elusiveness. He is going to want a huge money deal and RB's aren't worth it. If he plays well this year then he is the ideal player to franchise for a year or two. Don't commit big long term dollars to an aging RB.
  5. KW is on decline as well. No way Dare us is cut. Again I highly doubt KW is cut but he has never been able to play the run.
  6. Kyle Williams . Hear me out. He does not defend the run well at all. He has been injured though played through the pain. Dareus and Branch were better than than KW last year. For the record I don't think it will happen but you asked for a surprise.
  7. Pears won't be a surprise. He will be cut the day after the draft.
  8. No. He is not a polished WR and is not worthy of the #9 pick.
  9. I would resign Carrington and draft a SS in the middle rounds. It takes a while for DL to develop - more so for DT than DE but I still think Carrington would add more than a rookie. I would then add a safety with some size in round three or four.
  10. DE is a bigger priority now. I would resign Carrignton and start him ar DE opposite Mario where he belongs.
  11. This sucks. Head and neck cancers are the worst. Survival is not good and treatment is generally horrible. Wish him the best possible. Matter2003 has no idea what he or she is talking about.
  12. As someone stated above, this may be the deepest draft ever. This team hs 5 or 6 major holes even after the recent FA signings. WR is only one of those holes and not the most concerning. They should trade down twice in the first three rounds to get a total of 6 picks by the time they pick in the early fourth round. They could use a RT, another interior lineman (C/G), two linebackers, a WR, a TE, a true SS, a punter, a project QB, a back up RB, and a DE. So no they should not trade up to get anyone.
  13. This is wonderful news. They only thing worse than Kiko at MLB in the 4-3 is anybody they played at WOLB last year. Kiko will be a beast at OLB in the base defense. Probably will still be the nickel MLB which is really the base defense anyways.
  14. According to a few lists and columns I read the market for Spikes is not very crowded. Is now the time to try and sweep in and get him at a reasonable price? I think he would better at MLB than Rivers and Kiko. Anyone still interested in Spikes or are people satisfied with Rivers?
  15. Can't defend the signing of Tuck and Woodley. They are awful signings.
  16. Obviously the OP doesn't know much about this guy. He is a human holding penalty. Seattle wanted nothing to do with him. He will be tragically bad for the Patriots as he is targeted relentlessly opposite Revis.
  17. I could see a safety in the first three rounds if they trade down and get an extra pick. Don't know enough of how Schwartz plays his safeties but I would say we need a more traditional SS than a FS. We have no one on this team that covers and hits like Chancellor. I still think trade down, take Ebron, then get SS, OT, and MLB. WR is the wildcard position to me. Not really a need but if they find a true game breaker or if Watkins falls to #9 he would be hard to pass up. Not sure why but Evans just scares me.
  18. Whatever happened to Johnny Lam Jones?
  19. I love my Bills as much as everyone on here. Just have a little perspective and be careful attacking and making fun of others. It used to be Detroit now they are at least decent with a sold core of players. Then it was Cleveland. They have the HC most of the people (not me BTW) wanted in Buffalo and more ProBowl players. The GM in Oakland is trying to get the team out of salary cap hell and undo the damage done by Al's final years of poor drafts and trades. I can not explain why they did not franchise their LT and let him walk to Arizona. I can't fully explain why we didn't franchise our Pro Bowl safety but I understand some of the issues.
  20. I think Marrone and Whaley know this may be their only shot and they are not going to put all their NFL hopes and dreams in EJ's hands. I think they draft another QB in the middle rounds and let them compete. Tuel, Lewis, Grossman, Campbell, Wheeden, hell even Kellen Clemens can serve as the emergency back-up. None of them are any good long term. Take Aaron Murray in the fourth or the kid from Eastern Illinois and see what happens.
  21. Cris Collinsworth: Cincinnati Bengals 3 Time Pro-Bowler Played from 1981 to 1988 Drafted in the 2nd round of the 1981 draft by the Cincinnati Bengals Career: 90 games(Knee injury), 417 receptions, 6698 yards, 16.1 yards/catch, 36 touchdowns Ed McCaffrey: New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos 3 Time Super Bowl Champion 1 Time Pro-Bowler Played from 1990 to 2006 Drafted in the 3rd round of the 1991 draft by the New York Giants Career: 185 games, 565 receptions, 7422 yards, 13.1 yards/catch, 55 touchdowns.
  22. Yes Tuel is PS eligible. My hunch is he sucks in OTA's and we have a veteran like Campbell or someone else and another rookie backing up EJ next year. Tuel and Lewis are not worthy of being on NFL rosters.
