  1. Character issues still scare me but pair him with Woods and SJ and that is a lethal. Goodwin as a fourth and eventual replacement for SJ. Signing Jackson lets you go all in for Ebron at #9, then OL and LB the next four rounds.
  2. I would make the Spiller trade in a heartbeat but there is no way that is all Houston wants to drop 8 spots. Spiller wouldn't net more than a second round pick maybe only a third. Moving up 8 spots will require multiple picks likely to include next year's number 1.
  3. Great topic.. Favorite now - Richard Sherman Favorites of the past that I saw play - Rice, Montana, Young, B. Sanders, Elway, Lott, Winslow Player I have most respect for now - Brady Player I really don't like and can't explain why - Peyton Manning.
  4. Until I read the gang stuff I was redy to say we shoudl go all in for this guy. He is a top 5 WR talent and would open up all kind of possibilities in the draft and for the offense. Usually I could care less about character but criminal activity is different. Gotta say pass this time.
  5. Have to give the kid some credit for at least working out in helmet and pads. Have no idea why this is not mandated by NFL??? Perhaps this one workout will be the catalyst for others.
  6. Another example of the Bills FO just not being able to compete. Two years in a row they let high priced FA's walk with no compensation. Don't sign Alan Branch and we get a third or fourth this year. That extra pick is your LG of the future thus no need to sign Williams and a useless ST's FB. There is a third round pick next year for Byrd.
  7. Hey to all you posters that are blasting other posters about complaining about the scheme switch is a big deal, perhaps it is because we have listened to coaches tell the fans the reason they suck against the run is that they aren't getting to where they are supposed to be. They love to use the term fits. They preach all year about getting better as if they are still learnign the new defense and then if they actually don't make a change the coaches state how far ahead they are in year two in OTA's and training camp. So perhaps you could cut some people a break. And if you want proof changing schemes often is bad, two words. Torell Troup.
  8. Aren't there conditions in the lease like upgrades to the stadium and the commision that needs to be set up? If the new owner says he/she is leaving in 7 years no matter what the county may not ant to pay for the upkeep of the stadium anymore. Therefore the lease is broken. I've not read the lease nor has anyone else on this board. Maybe it is iron clad but rarely is that the case. Would Erie County want to keep paying repair costs in 2018 and beyond for a facility that has no long term use?
  9. Team is sold to highest bidder. A large sum of money is paid to lawyers to find a way out of Buffalo as quickly as possible. The city of Buffalo and we the fans of the Bills need a virtual miracle. No matter what anyone says the NFL will let any owner leave for anywhere they want. They let Modell leave Cleveland for Baltimore which left for Indianapolis. Only a miracle or lawsuits will keep the Bills in Buffalo now. RW was our extremely flawed miracle for decades. Now we need another.
  10. Don't like either of these picks. Lewan has red flags and may not be able to play LT in the NFL. Jenkins is soft. I want Ebron. Did anyone ever see Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez ever make a block in their entire career? No. They stood there and at best got in the way. It is a pasing league. TE's break defenses because there is enough of a threat to run that it forces players like Spikes to stay on the field and get eaten for lunch by atheltic TE's and WR's running short crossing routes. Take Ebron and get a RT in the second or third round. Totally agree we need to add an OT in this draft no matter waht Hairston's health status is.
  11. This doesn't explain who will play SS unless they plan to play a two deep look almost all the time. A Williams is ok but not great in run support. Don't like this at all. I don't like a two deep safety defense. Offenses have figured it out. Run short passing routes to the WR's and let athletic TE's or even RB's get into the seams. I don't like this at all. Our defensive line has not proven we can stop the run. Kiko at MLB in the nickel defense is still a liabilituy against the run. No true SS and teams will go four wide, take Spikes off the field, and run it up the gut. Bad bad bad.
  12. EJ has a training camp and 10 or so games of experience ahead of this group which on paper is no better. We are a year ahead of Cleveland, Houston, or whatever team drafts a first round QB. EJ has 16 games, maybe less if he is awful, to prove he can play. I am totally ok with a mid-round QB. As much to push EJ and for the fact that I hate the back-up QB situation.
  13. If no trade down take BPA. If that is OT then play him at RT and upgrade the line. If it is Watkins then upgrade at WR. Ebro may be a reach at 9 maybe not.
  14. Agree with Bangarang. They will not draft a QB. If Houston passes on a QB one of the 3 top QB may fall to 9. Excellent trade down possibility. At
  15. I'm fine with that. Play him as a 4-3 DE as a rookie. Kyle Williams time is almost up. He is awful against the run and I think this will be his last year with the Bills. They will resign Dareus. This kid can move to 4-3 DT and change-up 3-4 DE next year.
  16. Signed with the Bengals. Dollar amount not released yet. Good signing for the Bengals. He can win a game or two with that offense and defense if Dalton gets hurt. Did people watch Lewis play? He was a turnover machine and got worse with every series he played. Totally agree with other posters with taking another QB in the middle rounds like Murray (not AJ McCarron though). Tuel is horrible with a rag arm. Murray would blow him away in camp.
  17. Agree especially if St. Louis takes an OT with the second pick of the draft. But they could easily go Watkins at 2 or perhaps even Mack instead of OL knowing the depth in the OL this year.
  18. To be fair to ESPN, SS is second only to TE as the weakest position on the team. That does not mean things can change and the young players can develop. But as it looks right now the second safety spot whether in coverage or run support is below average to horrible.
  19. You couldn't be more accurate. They lucked into Brady. The Patriot way starts and end with Brady. He is the greatest QB of all time. It is the organizations fault and specifically Belichick's defense that has fialed Brady.
  20. Carrington has been screwed by the Bills. His best position is DE. He would be a good player to bring back at DE. Of course he can then go down and pass rush from DT position and play Hughes at DE. I hope they bring him back. If not they will have to add a DE in the draft.
  21. I'm not convinced Rivers will start or even make the team if they draft another LB and an UDFA comes out of nowhere. I don't want Moats or Bradham any longer but Lawson played well enough to start. Also not convinced Carpeneter wins the kicking job. Lastly Williams signing is routinely listed as one of the worst by a non-Oakland Raider team. They would have been better off with Byrd (12.3), Graham (5.55), and Spikes(3.25). They could have addressed LG more cheaply or in the draft. But at least there is hope and new faces. Maybe Williams is a very good LG playing between Glenn and Wood. Maybe Graham, Gilmore, McKelvin, Roby, and the oft injured kid from LSU make one hell of a set of DB's. And maybe Spikes at MLB and Kiko at OLB is the answer to the run defense. Still not convinced there is a quality SS on the roster though...
