Those venues place tens of thousands of students and alumni in at bargain basement prices. Yes if you want to buy a ticket for OSU-Michigan you will pay a fortune. Ohio State versus Eastern Michigan - you can't give away your ticket. Oregon - USC $200. Oregon - Wyoming free. And there is no possibility of the tax payer funding a new stadium at these colleges. They need to find a Phil Knight to pay for it or they keep using the old stadium.

Spikes. He is a legit middle line backer. It allows/forces Kiko outside where he belongs in the base defense. I'm still not sold on Spikes as the MLB in the nickel. Kiko and Kuechly may be the two best nickel MLB's in the league. If Spikes can hold up in the middle in the nickel then Kiko could wreak havoc all year like Matthews in Green Bay.

Do TJ Graham and Lee Smith make it to training camp? -
Should the Bills Cut Dareus? - Jerry Sullivan Article
Dragonborn10 replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course you can. But do you think all 50+ players are good guys on winning teams? Hell take any group of 50 guys in any walk of life and chances are you wouldn't want to be friends with a few of them. FYI I drove my Lexus GS 350 F Sport 108 MPH this weekend. No crash. Dareus should be heckled for his driving skills not his bad judgement... -
Should the Bills Cut Dareus? - Jerry Sullivan Article

Do they cut Hughes now too? I think I saw CJ Spiller walk across the street without looking both ways the other day. Let's get rid of him too. These guys are not your friends and you would not want most of them to date your daughter. Character gets you 14 years with no playoffs. -

Only thing that matters this year is the QB. EJ is either the man or the Bills must find a veteran for 2015. -
This is exactly what I have been saying.

should we be worried about the jets?
Dragonborn10 replied to billsgpr88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jets may have best DL in the NFL. OL besides Mangold is mediocre however. Decker is a product of Manning. He will be a huge disappointment in NY. As others have said it is all about the QB's for both teams. Which team chose correctly? Maybe both did and it will be an EJ and Geno rivalry for a decade. Maybe both teams crapped the bed. In that case Vick is a much better second option than the jokes the Bills have for back-up options. I think 6 games into the season and we will know about EJ. Many on here have already formed their opinions. Mine is still open. Marrone doesn't seem like a guy dumb enough to hitch his only NLF HC opportunity to a QB he does not believe in without a viable back-up option. Maybe I am wrong. I would have taken another QB in the mid-rounds this year for insurance. -
New stadium = good-bye to tailgating?
Dragonborn10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen!! 65K seats, downtown, and 20% higher ticket prices. As someone else said tailgating gets a bad rap due to the lowest common denominator folks who drown in creeks and fall from the stands. Less seats and higher prices will make it more enjoyable for the people who aren't drunk at 11 am. -
Joe B.: 5 Bills that could be in danger of being cut
Dragonborn10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Moorman 2. Lee Smith 3. Bradham 4. Legursky 5. Pears -
Hairston being able to play would be a true bonus for this team. He is the perfect swing tackle and it allows you to get rid of Pears who can't play any position other than RT. Hairston could even play some guard if needed. Keep all three rookies and let the remaining guards fit it out for the last back-up spot. Whoever can play a little center gets the edge. Then use Pears' money to sign Dareus long term. Franchise Spiller next year if he plays well this year.

Bills need DE - Graham/Jordan could fill the need.

Not at all, as long as you are ok with me reminding you how bad the run defense was last year... -
Bills need DE - Graham/Jordan could fill the need.
Dragonborn10 replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As fluffhead said a 4-3 DE can be a bit lighter that a 3-4 DE. Think Aaron Schoebel not Manny Lawson though. 265-275 is really starting to get very small at DE. Branch and even Dareus can move out to DE in some odd 3 man or 4 man fronts. Barring a trade or a veteran training camp salary dump pick-up DE is going to be a giant hole all year. And yes Jordan is Maybin 2.0. I posted it before the draft and stand by it now. -
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000353281/article/ten-summertime-trade-candidates The one paragraph description would seem to make him a good fit for the hole at DE the Bills have. I will admit I have never heard of him. I'm working right now and a bit too lazy to look anything up about him myself. How about that for truth and honesty? Anyone heard of him? Swap Lawson for him? Win win on paper at least for schemes it would seem.

The #1 OT's in America 2010 and 2011 are Bills.
Dragonborn10 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wasn't Terrell Pryor the number 1 QB recruit a few years ago? And the kid Seastrunk was the number 3 RB in 2010 and went in the 6th round. I'm not sure I would put much faith in HS recruiting rankings. -
Update on renovations to The Ralph
Dragonborn10 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lipstick on a pig. I have great memories from 80's and 90's but go to any modern stadium and you won't want to watch the Bills play a home game. Bathrooms are disgusting. There is no room to walk. Food is average. Even in the Jim Kelly club the beef on weck was cold. Very disappointing. Beer selection could be better. Guys please go to a new venue and see what you are missing. Tear down the Ralph. Build a 64,000 seat stadium on the waterfront and raise the ticket prices 25%. Add high quality food and beverage items. I'm not saying every other stadium is better but Seattle and Arizona offered much better experiences. I'm going to Bears-Bills but I don't expect it will be much better than RW. Worst stadium ever though was Metrodome. The concourses could not have allowed more than 5 people side by side. Actually was a bit scary. -
AFC East Winner or When will Brady decline?
Dragonborn10 replied to Chas56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jets defense looks as dominant as the 49ers. Their offensive line still is not that good though. Miami will be in rebuild mode for another two years because their QB is not NFL caliber. As for the Bills it is all on EJ and Schwartz. Spiller will disappoint again but I expect that. If EJ can complete 60-62% of his passes, start 14 or more games, and the O-line stays healthy the offense should be ok. If Schwartz can get 90% of the QB pressure and improve the run defense by 30% or so (Spikes to MLB and Alonso to OLB) then the defense could be special. -
Biggest 1st Round Bust From 2014 Draft
Dragonborn10 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is Manziel not on this list? He will be out of the league just as fast as Jamarcus and Tebow. His arm isn't good enough. His size isn't big enough. And his head isn't smart enough. Add the fact he is on one of the five worst organizations in the NFL with a shat OC and he is near certain to be a bust. For the record I voted Mack just because of the level of competition he faced. If I had a second choice I would pick Evans. Evans is so raw as a WR. He is going to take a long time to develop. Would not be shocked if it is Clowney though as others have pointed out. Speed can be neutralized at the point of attack by size. -
Buffalo's new stadium - will Super Bowl be played in it?
Dragonborn10 replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anyone thinks Buffalo is getting a SuperBowl ever, I would be willing to bet the farthest that person has ever traveled in their life is Fredonia... -
Bills Jets - goal posts 1988. Yeah that one. My brother and I are picked out of the stands to hold the cameras for SI. Watch the entire game from the sidelines. Have pregame meal with the reporters. In the press room after the game. Shake the hands of all the players after they leave the locker room.
