  1. They said it was over 120 degrees on the field. That seems like an exaggeration but the recorded temp was over 100.
  2. Have you ever looked up the records of west coast teams playing early games on the east coast? It is awful.
  3. Yeah I saw that too... An obvious hold on guy blocking 92 wasn't called either. It was in second half. Don't remember the result but I think it was a third down Miami converted.
  4. Agree not enough to overturn. But you could tell the ball was out when it hit the pylon. We would be screaming if that was Hartline and not Watkins...
  5. I watched the play numerous times now. Sammy's TD should have been ruled a fumble and touchback. Bills got lucky. Luck is part of the game and maybe it is our time to get a good break.
  6. Hyperbole aside Henderson is playing well. Where would this line be without him? Wow it feels like Peters all over again.
  7. Half of his passes his rookie year were bubble screens and real screen plays. As much as I can't stand Shanahan - he and his son may have hidden his mediocre talent as long as they could
  8. West coast team travelling east for a 1:00 game... very tough.
  9. Because Sullivan would know what it is like to be in a room with 31 other billionaires..
  10. No I haven't because I don't think a special teams coach matters one bit. It is all the players. Bobby April and the Raiders were 31st in special teams last year. The coach doesn't matter.
  11. Same can be said of posts that say EJ is no good after six NFL starts...
  12. Russell Wilson was no better after eight games
  13. Everything I have read said Cousins was better than RG3 all camp. But no way he could have benched him without an injury. If Cousins looks good it will be the end of RG3 in Washington.
  14. Goodell a long time ago should have divorced himself from the judge, jury, and executioner role. It has only harmed him. He could have easily let a committee do the dirty work for him. The players wanted that in the CBA and that would have been the perfect time to give up that role. If he wanted that role then he is an egomaniac who deserves what he is getting right now. I totally agree they need a standard. On one hand the players are being treated unfairly. If you get a DUI how many people lose their job or are even suspended in the real world? Virtually none. On the other hand sometimes they are given too much leeway especially if they are good players. I would advocate that any physical altercation or injury, should mandate an immediate action/suspension regardless of due process. Anything other offense, the punishment if any should be reserved for after the legal process runs its course.
  15. I get your point but to link Sam, Rice, and Peterson is a bit shall we say - ignorant. One is about a marginal football player doing what no one had the courage to do before. The others appear to be the worst kind of criminals. Just saying you might want to choose your examples a bit more cautiously in the future.
  16. Williams hit in OT was legal and evidence of new rules. Two years ago Williams would have been killed on that catch. He is lucky the defensive player went for midsection and not a knee. Woods play was bang bang and I can see how ref didn't see it. It probably will get a fine as it looked like he was leading with the head a bit. But if it was A. Williams we would be arguing it was a glancing blow and not intentional.
  17. Better than average? They have a Pro Bowl caliber pass rusher going against a rookie 7th round pick. They need to mix it up much more than they did against the Bears. Pass a bit more on first down. Crowd noise was obviously a factor last week. This week they need to run a lot more no huddle. Especially after a big first down. Have a couple plays ready to go that EJ can run whenever he feels like they should push the tempo. Two of them should be a bubble screen to Watkins and a reverse to Goodwin or Watkins.
  18. Cleveland fleeced them worse than Whaley did. Colts GM should not be allowed to make a trade without Irsay's approval...
  19. The key to the game is stopping their pass rush. Have to pass when they don't expect it. And run some no huddle to keep their lineman on the field and tired.
  20. Does anyone remember the media coverage when Miami was sold? I don't. Who cares that it is a non-story. It would be a story if the Bills were moving to LA.
  21. I was at the game so I did not get the benefit from a ton of replay. What I saw was a lot of 7 guys in coverage - mostly man to man, LB's playing man to man with the RB's and TE's, and middle linebacker blitzes. I do not recall a safety or corner blitz. A decent mix of single high A. Williams at safety and two and three deep coverages. Perhaps my biggest complaint was in the fourth quarter when the Bears were pinned deep in their own end, I think at the four yard line, both Dareus and Mario were on the sideline. The offense had just punted so fatigue was not a factor. A sack-fumble there and the game is over. I thought that was poor timing to rotate the D-line. If Gilmore plays this week I think Schwartz will be more aggressive. The Bills will be at home and have crowd nose to their advantage. The Dolphins line is as bad as the Bears but Tannyhill does not have the potential that Cutler has to burn them deep if the blitz doesn't get there. And it will put Graham in the slot where he can play man to man CB, play safety, or blitz. Did I miss anything?
  22. McKelvin was fine. In this league guys are going to score. Their offense is top 10 potential. They have stars at WR, QB, TE, and RB. Very difficult to defend especially with precious few blitzes.
