Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
3rdand12 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now is the time to jump into the deep end at WR. Before the trade deadline A Diggs type of deal. Hopeful Beane has learned some lessons about contracts by now , but bites the bullet and goes hard after a true #1 and then has a back up plan as well for a trade or two. This is not a time to Buddy Nix (sleep) at the phones -

Meyers would be a ha lf assd effort at this point. And not what the team needs perhaps. No knock on him and in a different scenario I would be all for it Waddles or Olave even Shaheed. Stop messing about. -

You only have to hit on one , and the Game has changed. Now you know you can hit one and The defense knows you can too. its been this simple forever Hey Joe ! Just hit one. Try it Joey , you'll like it ! I disagree with your disagree Good Stack the Box. We are running another go route off a hot read and lofting it for run and catch HA Ha never give up on the "run deep and fast routes" -

Of course not ! Just wanted to check you before i agreed , to a degree. his 1st few years ( and my mind is of a lesser being for detail ) I thought Allen was All Day with the go routes. Just needed a John Brown to shift a gear and go get it. and he did ! Do you recall those days ? stuck in my mind that his threat was not his touch balls from the pocket , it was his fast balls , and the near horizontal long balls lol outside the hash marks ! -

But the correct receiver is the Key ! You have described Shaheed as just that. and agreed now on both points of need and finding that player for us. But incompetence is a strong word for the current WR. Injuries have affected the plan -

Even though there was an obvious disconnect with Coaching and Diggs his last season a a Bill ? often been surprised at what the future brings lol . More often than it did not turn out as expected 😂 Still ... am more the optimist over here -

But wasn't that also Brady ? I think he stumbled last few weeks overthinking something or another. Over confident ?? -

I think one of the issues has been the lack of a downfield threat that gets respect from defenses. Whether it is the player we don't have . or the play calling for the players we do have. Defenses will always adjust when you cannot threaten an over the top pass or a breaking route that gets separation into open field. We had a good "run" but defenses are adjusting now and Brady might be slow to respond or even get ahead of that trend. just my opinion -

I am in this camp as well ! trade the picks and borrow the money. Not likely but , what I would do if I had a shot at Olave or Waddle OR It could be , Beane could not get a deal done off season . Not for lack of trying. If a new window of opportunity opens , it would be more foolish to let ego make the call 😋 -

They ALL get better. Some folks have been harping since pre draft. Outside speed and #1 talent , or two from the Draft might be the missing piece for the Offense. I wanted that. I agree with ya There has been talk of it though lately. McDaniel says no. Others suggest a wait and see next few weeks. I would be making calls to Miami with my wish list Mr McBeanes agreed -

It feels like McD just got the wake up call in the last two weeks and especially Falcons game. Its was a Coaching failure on both sides. Time to pick up the pace for winning the SB with Allen fom the FO! How do we feel about trading early picks for an Olave or a Waddle. perhaps 1st rounds ? Bills have plenty to fix after last week. More than adding a Top Tier WR. But i would bid hard for the best outside threat i could. And not a 30 year old hope and pray player lol -

Thank you. Olave. Waddle ? Wow that is some serious financing for either though. I don't care much about the draft pick at this point. You spend it next year or you spend it now and hope he can start and impact ? Might be better off getting a proven WR now though. -
Hire Ryan Fitzpatrick as a part time consultant

but lovable. Marketing perhaps 🧐 I too am intrigued with this prospectus ! -
what exactly do you own ? I might take that bet if it's less then 24$ Its all about how defenses focus isn't it ? Shakir was our best WR last year possibly. Yes he was. And we did not get and "two men needed to cover " threats So defenses want to take Josh , Cook , Shakir and possibly Kincaid away I agree , get him routed against a single safety or high LB and he likely wins with YAC.

He only got one of the defensive players I wanted. I was not pleased And whom I thought was going to be a fine pick in Hairston is injured yea we were talking about WR for sure !

The Horizontal Bop. That was the Bills offense. sideline to sideline. no vertical game lol Gailey knew how to help Fitzmagic succeed. He had a weak arm and Chan designed around it. But Ryan is one of my favorite Bills homers and smart as a whip. Not sure he could help much for gameday though Palmer ? -
Who is playing corner then ? Not how Bills planned this for sure. Tre was the Vet back up and surprised a few he could still play. and he has. But he is the Vet back up while bringing Hairston and or Strong. Aren't both injured currently ? Bring in Woolen ? Seahawks dude, somehow. I read that some where. But yea. its time for Beane's wizardry. Get out the credit card not sure about playing safety for Tre. Poyer was a worser and seriously desperate move

Perhaps Brady had a bad game ? Will agree with Bills being better prepared for the Blitz. How was Cooks blitz pickup ? I did not hear Hawes name at all from reading Was unable to watch the game , but have read plenty of summaries and opinions 😂

Well Beanes says that carazy talk. lol Imagine they felt bringing in Palmer and Moore, were going to make a difference if Coleman stepped up and Shakir would improve cuz the whole room improved, Kincaid was healthy again. Cook was on the team. they needed another Diggs level player for Josh to start the year like Stephon came in and did for the Bills after the Vikings It's hindsight , but it is 20 20
