  1. Chandler was the first viable one in years. and look at all the Team records he set at that position! Worried me why they pursued Clay so hard. Very good player indeed ! But could Bills make good use of him. Methinks this year Tyrod WILL find his TEs and Will chuck it at them. I would be pleased to to Barnside on the team good post I like where this might be going. C'mon Eric bring him home with you ! Not literally of course. Unless that is what it takes to seal the deal.....
  2. Or was he? he had a lot of money he had to spend. Then Pegula Bills had always played tight with the cap and the FO budget too. Then Pegula . money everywhere. Whaley blew his nut to quickly. Sorry Ladies and sensitive types.. But Watkins Clay and Shady for EJM ??? hindsight perhaps. But that is where Whaley invested. I am sure he is very disappointed in the results of his tenure here. He also needs a clean slate. reboot. No anger here. Just part of the learning curve for the Pegula's et al.
  3. agreed. he does need to prove, he is his foot is healthy ? He obviously is a tough kid playing through other crap ( ribs). and if his boo boo foot is fixed? I want Tyrod to throw it to him all day, except when he throws to Zay or Clay. : ) I would like to note, Zay can be moved around and knows the X Y and Z positions and trees. Time to get Sammy that YAC game going. ala Clemson. Jeebus that would be fun !! this really could turn out well for us : )
  4. My position changed on his long term health when he played injured. Then it was finally announced he needed a second surgery. Something did not feel right when the team was trying to explain it during the season. Felt like funny business and some BS going on. I am sure it was mostly shinola for other Defenses to keep worrying (?) when he got on the field. Hope the Bills medical staff has been refreshed too !
  5. I am also going to assume taylor will be "told" to throw it if he continues to hesitate. Lets hope that aspect of his game is Coached up this offseason. ( Get me the Ball ) Sammy was able to make stupid catches with Tyrod just chucking it out there. Even in tight doubled coverage. That damned foot us hurting us all : (
  6. I think it is a quite sound business decision to not pick up the option. Hope he plays his A** off for us (Him) this year !!!! Go Sammy Watkins
  7. sarcasm font ? I hope? I hardly think the decision has been made unless it is based upon a physical evaluation
  8. close enough for my calculator Hope all goes well and they work out a deal for all the right reasons well before tag time punished?
  9. dude has one hell of a highlight reel ! that bouncing one hander across the middle perhaps?
  10. as well he should. Best way to get him to work for it. motivation is an interesting animal for pro athletes who have money already it's really this simple and plain from my viewpoint. well phrased
  11. I expected him to be on the field.> I dont dislike him and i know he is likely elite talent. TT and he were getting tight before the foot. If he was on the field the scheme may well have changed so i was close?
  12. I read 13 and then 17 projected to tag. I could do that. If he stays on the field and plays up to his abilities. Which are pretty damn good sure as heck has, when looking at the programs he has played in here in Buffalo
  13. step off Fingers crossed and win win
  14. No sir. That is my point. the word i used was Production
  15. I agree, The kid is amazing talent wise. His foot is my issue. If he comes back 100%. i would be fine Tagging him at 17 while a deal got worked out and would hope they did it before seasons end. I do not think he has come all the way back from this unfortunate injury yet.
  16. this is quite sincerely a Drs call. and of that i have little faith in the Bills not I Ever have. Huge weak spot for the Buffalo Bills has been the medical advisement and rehab team. But I would never pick up the option on an oft injured low production player. I expect harsh responses. but it is true. his potential is near elite IMO and also there are some mitigating circumstances that have also held him back ( for one, his twit tweeting about get me the ball ) he was right. But if the Bills feel he has recovered from the Foot injury? They will likely pay him. kid can ball for sure. I dont think he is healthy or they would be working a long term contract over this season to present to his agent
  17. I am not suggesting they have this thing figured out yet, Not by any means. Unraveling the plots and subplots of the decade makes my head spin. Just think they have to meddle to understand what exactly it is they want before they can step aside. They have found enough bits they do NOT like. The FO has "appeared" at odds with each other since Marrone came on. I understand their mantra and hope they can achieve that.
  18. I do not think this is true at it's heart. They said yes. agreed.
  19. kick those bias plied tires
  20. Ticket sales . rex was hired and look what happened? contrary to common sense The leaks were just ruinous IMO. easy to paint a picture of dysfunction for the paint by numbers BN regardless of your conclusions. Because i am not making judgement here. this is a fine post. Dougie had tough row to hoe of that there should be no doubt. btw i think something aside the business OP was found out. But cleaning house is just that. Terry and Kim have full ownership of every move here on. that is what they want
  21. Hopefully all of them will get a look when it is time to build a staff. If they are worth their weight, i would like to hope most guys who are at the senior level know who shines. it was more important to hit a full refresh for Pegulas. I honestly think, they want to fully and completely want to be the ones to "own up" when the BNuts come pecking. This is a quality that endears them to me. Even if they are wrong from here on, that want to be the Focus of our insatiable ire. No more pinning the tail upon a donkey/flavor of choice/the week for media. Kirby i know you take this personally to some degree, and i respect it. But I feel the cream of those who were employed at OBD will be employed again somewhere. and the others will work hard to up their game. ps i was one who mentioned more than once that promoting Fischer and Monos being pretty awesome moves. Pegula did the right thing. Hopefull we are all better for it in the long run
  22. The NFL is a glaringly obvious high turnover at any level these days. The romance is definitely out the door in our current era. traditions etc. And as so many here have said. Its a business. Money is good I guess. But it seems to the root cause of some things i do not care for. The degradation of the word "Team" to start with : (
