  1. Vast tracts of land. I take it you have driven through it ? : ) I liked that version. Great song and hey, the Guy was playing a beat up ole Fender Stratocaster much like Eric ! now back to your regularly scheduled program...
  2. his selection of Coach in his first year was likely limited. I expected the retread Frazier to fail. This season Bills had a fair turnover at Coaching. and yes the announcing of Peterman was odd. But i thought it was an exercise to see what he had. Of course he trusted his OC. certainly more than us fans would. But that's part of being a team
  3. I disagree. He must know offense to play effective defense. what he did was show loyalty. to a fault. and learned from it.
  4. No, but I am Old enough to recall when the song came out. Thanks for the smile Okie !!! and i have never been to Oklahoma : )
  5. Howdy MJS

caught your note one the most boring NFL cities.
Honestly I stopped travelling for work about ten years ago. Decided to settle down a bit : )

Most all my Family is nearby, including grandkids.

Just wanted to join in the thread. Hope no one took offense to my "homerism "

     Cheers !

     Eric

  6. Travel and night life are not one and the same. I have been across the country and lived many places. Guess i was not searching for " fun " lol Nice to read about folks experiences for us shut ins lol
  7. Part of my point, thanks. But as mentioned ,good for everyone he got another opportunity in KC Good post. I agree with highlighted bit as I am sure Aussie Joe does too. Thank you !
  8. no argument there. i am not really a what if type anyways. we are what we are I am what i ams and that's all that i ams Says Popeye the Sailor Man toot toot ! I did not know that. Perhaps that was the main reason why he was let go. Availability is a mantra these days at OBD.
  9. he never played a down? he was injured
  10. it may be true. but it may have been that McD defensive tactics were not sound we talked about moving Brown to strong side. but you are correct, just conjecture and hindsight at this point : ) my apologies
  11. Edmunds is a generational pick if all goes as planned. Unique physique. and all the tangibles to develop . i would not compare the two. I wonder how they might look together this year in a the 3-4 style. Even Brown was traded for capital. he certainly was working hard. if he had a better line ?? edit I was surprised as well. along with other surprises. such as Robert Woods
  12. I tend to think it was more than that Doc. But certainly Ragland was not the answer . Brown was always serviceable IMO. Humber ?
  13. is that actually the point. we have little to go on , with the T. Edmunds as a pro as we had little to derive from Ragland's preseason, which there was none. or nearly none. lol I had assumed his trade was based upon keen insight into his injury and Bills were lucky to trade him, at the time. now it appears it was purely scheme fit. I have to question that if McD is to become a Coach who reaps the wheat from the chaff
  14. the thing that irked me? he was nearly free money. Even if he only played two downs. McD did not play the business side as well as i might have hoped. he is too much a straight shooter with blinders on. Build up Raglands value for one year or so as two down LB and see how it plays out. run a darned hybrid 3-4 ! did anyone notice Bills could NOT stop the run game at times last year ? he is a thumper + how much plus ? Bills never looked into. seemingly
  15. fun topic Okie thanks I will stick with my Town for boring. I like boring at my age and condition LOL but they have white castle and a wave park ?
  16. actually I might have picked New Orleans as the BEST . but that again was many moons ago. What a night life !! wow ! Boston is super historical , so us american history buffs love that crap. But New orleans offer some great history and architecture too. Memphis has no football teams but is pretty sweet and Nashville is a never ending party. hard to do Kirby. but your point is well taken. Ohio is boring as hell. Cleveland does not rock and Cinci is just a grade above. right next to Indiana so i get the OP's feeling. Pennsaltucky is not far behind excepting Philly and Pittsburgh. the rest is just a quiet working persons dreamland
  17. The reports i have about Austin . It is up and coming young city. Music is awesome and so is night life. Boston lol been years , i but i found them to be a bit arrogant in general. uptight as well . I was with a band from Boston and was a pretend roadie. Just driving through the city was irritating. and that was well before the Patriots were even blip. but the seafood and eateries were excellent. all about what you are looking for i guess. seems like an existential question really Okie : ) good for dialogue for sure my friend !!
  18. btw when were there? and why ? : )
  19. But the steak houses can be exceptional. and BBq ? I wonder why Idaho has no NFL team ....or Montana
  20. why do you say that honestly ? did you have an exceptionally boring time in Indiana ? : )
  21. perhaps fun is where you find it ? people really make the difference. Find a local to give you a tour and i bet you find gems. I used to travel years ago for work. Installation projects and such. Mostly working trips. But grab a local who loves their city? and you are bound to enjoy the visit.
  22. I am nothing but delighted you caught my nonsensical quip ! : ) It was actually for fun. who the heck knows about other cities and how boring they may or may not be ? you lived in Baltimore, and that may be your best comparison to Buffalo. Most of us are not globetrotters and able to discern the nightlife and fun factors in other cities. silly thread. i had a silly answer and now you know my character. or lack thereof ☺️
  23. Me too. Great instinct. Moving to the ball before it was snapped made up for his semi slow recorded open field speed. Thought he would be a much better and more dominant Preston Brown. if you ever watched Spikes closely, he would be moving to the play before any one else when he was on his game. slow as hell. but stacked and shed quickly because he read the play so well. Ragland is the modern level of that upgraded. But sure as heck no Lukely oh well. the only reason Reggie would not have been under Rex was his injury ? point well taken.
  24. stubborn old Mcdermott. I have brought this up before in the " fitting the players to the scheme vs fitting scheme to the players " it did not go well for me if i recall. Sean does Sean it seems. aint nuthin wrong with that i guess. Agreed good story and agreed thanks to Yolo !
  25. Fairport NY or maybe Victor NY
