  1. Kerley

I might expect he actually has a some lingering health issue.

sorry for sounding sincere. i rarely am on the board.

    sometimes though.

     Cheers  Happy

     Eric

  2. did I bold that ? wtf. oh you did for emphasis : ) heck no. i made bold assumptions. I had assumed Peterman was the season starter and most players thought oh snap we're going to tank. explains Benjamins efforts
  3. he was too small and unhappy to play with Peterman to start with.
  4. next year. everyone knows this ... : ) good pick up
  5. fair post. thanks for taking a longer look. good read !
  6. silly boy. the transition for college QBs is more dramatic than ever. maybe most intense position to develop. can go any way depending on a variety of circumstance. One of the traditional fears, and I subscribe to it ,is a semblance of pass protection is key, Consistent and repeatable. even if middling will develop a young QB well enough our line is often a box of chocolates. and we know what that means don't we ? Allen has plenty of potential as long as he does not get killed. I mean actually killed on the field. he has the mindset and heart to will himself to success.
  7. Not bad for an alleged Novice. perhaps they have not given Allen the tool to switch. or no one called it to him. Or he has the tools, and just missed the read. Kid looked overwhelmed. looking forward to next weekend to see what he has learned, what they taught him ? and how he adjusts. Not from the game as much as he makes adjustment pre snap. keep in mind they just switched centers , and likely for calling the line. great post 808 and thanks ! first season ? they are ramping him as best they can. lets keep in mind , this may not have been the Plan : ) he is likely learning " trial by fire " at this point. The Defense should be helping the Offense at practice with looks i hope.
  8. he has been working on it ! Not easy for a guy with his hair on fire.. story for another day perhaps.
  9. I am sure Coach tells him to find a way to beat the defender regardless. Life is not fair ha ha !! overcome adversity.
  10. yep he was dramatic lol First run play to his side and as he turned to pursue back towards the line of scrimmage. whats his name had the back of his collar. it was easy to see from nearly any angle. so i watched him rushing when Eddie was not spelling him . Those who have dogged him may not have watched him closely since he got here. He is nearly always being held when he is pushing the outside in leverage as he lines up. and why i wish they would move him and run more stunts if Star can get any push ever. I think we can just expect Hughes will be treated as he has since he used to lose it with the refs because of some bias it seems. Maybe he is That good ?
  11. Perhaps the whole Offense is going through growing pains with so much turnover ? Hard to lay the blame on why Allen had a rough day in the NFL as a young rookie in the fire. Too many option to pick just one. we all know , but some seem to forget ? It's about play execution on offense. and that ain't happenin enough yet. Bills will weed players out over time and perhaps get the roster sorted on O. Just hope hope hope my new bff Allen lives/survives long enough to enjoy when the Offensive roster left to right and front to back is much better than what was trotted out Sunday. Johnny Cash had a song about the game. "Damn my eyes" he sung. that game was all wrong from an Offensive perspective on every bullet point ? I agree. Bills panicked on Offense. like i said my friend, they are very young/new on Offense , each and together. rough day all around really. as mentioned some bits more tolerable than others imo.
  12. Is that you David Byrne ? that's what i heard. Talking Heads lead singer saying those exact words and being disappointed as some of us are. again. On to next week/season decade. still waiting , I'm still waiting , still waiting.. btw the song has a joyous ending Go Bills you could not see it but one of the guys must have had a better camera angle and said that Edmunds turned his head away for Rodgers as they went down . I assume the effort was recognized he was trying to shift his weight away from Rodgers. good no call
  13. i am not bitching as much as taking notice. i noticed some other things as well : (
  14. I have rarely seen so many holds against 55. well maybe i have. Frazier should have moved him around instead of just inserting 54. i would never call it pathetic. rough day ? for sure
  15. The defense has some players now. Some key players in secondary who have been lining up are smart and playing fast. Johnson and Lewis for example. let it rip. Star was always double teamed it seemed on so was kyle. there must have been a way to get to Rodgers. as i alwayshave said. QBs like these Rodgers etc who are masters of the game? Lineman need to know passing lanes and get hands up. fundamental football. lb's as well. I could see players continuing rushing when 5 yards form the QB and ball about to be released. drives me nut
  16. He dealt with frustration for sure. was obvious as long as they learn from it : ) disagree. no point in puling Allen at this juncture. let himlearnordietrying
  17. i won't argue against your point for sure . McCoy with so few touches and not sticking with Ivory longer. Poor game all around on offense. gotta look at the tape though ....
  18. agreed. we get one nice blitz that worked. Overprotective of his secondary who were not in position enough. Last week Bills look well prepped. this week they missed all over the place. Rodgers always has quick release from any spot and after the first run Frazier knew his knee was fine.
  19. not so sure it was on the OC. Allen had a rough time behind an O line that struggled. Allen showed he does not trust them. Allen took too long to release the ball. O line kinda blows and the receivers ? anyone notice Josh played like Tyrod a bit ? arrghh
  20. and this is why i checked up on the Vikes Rams game thursday. Cousins put up a ton of yards using quick release patterns. Bills need a nice job of covering just long enough to allow D line to get that pressure. its a balancing act. Methinks last week was the beginning of a trend of a young but better team overall then i expected. If Offense can stay steady enough during some rough patches ? we might be building something here to last.
  21. yep. a little self therapy never hurts. have a friend at work who mimics this skit very well , and has been doing just that lately. we had a great D line for once this season. Cousins passing for over 400 this Thursday validates that for me. I feel good about this Bills team this Sunday and darnit ! I think they can win it !! Because they are good enough smart enough and gosh darned dang it all ! i cheer for them
  22. I found the post uplifting. perhaps Shaq would feel otherwise of course. Murphy Hughes Alexander Milano could each get around him if he blinks. Pressure is coming over the left side from the Bills most of the day should be the plan. If Lawson were available and reading this post ? I hope you kick tail and take names. and seal that damn edge. hands up on pass plays when you are defending the passing lanes on the short midfield stuff. Go Bills Thanks for the update. I bet he wants to be a part of what is going on with the carry over from last weekend. Hope he is fired up. D line rotation looks decent all of a sudden.
  23. Yep, yips it is. Good call with Hypnosis Bills could move that needle off the basement floor. Start with Benjamin
  24. I appreciate the nice story being shared here. i can see the threads has derailed a bit. But Thurman's intentions were well received by me. Thanks. back to japanese female eels and the Alabama taking notes. continue...
