This is why i would like to see Bills maneuver picks. would like to see either 2TEs and or 2 Wrs or a combination to get 3 pass catchers from the draft. both of these things can happen outside of the first round and still acquire starters. right after FA fixes the O line. : ) and gets a TE in FA as well.

Have the feeling Beane is nearly always going to let our FA pickups test the market come contract time. to see if they come back at Buffalo sharing the offers. do they want to be in Buffalo ? or do they just follow the money. Test of character perhaps. note. i am not sure if they will treat players acquired through the draft the same way. If they like the development and commitment to the team and the craft ? Beane "might ' show a bit of favoritism or attempt to lock them up early. just a hunch : ) Bills need that rotation and some mixed skills sets and tech specific alignments. Phillips fits. and may have a bit more upside if using to his strengths inside. Scheme player. does he fit bills D going forward? can he play his gap assignment soundly each play ? this affects the draft not one bit i hope

Expectations should be tempered here. To consider Bills releasing Jones before we even see Williams in OTAs because some are assuming he will rise up the depth chart as soon as OTAs start : ) is a bit of a stretch for me. and saying Foster is a better WR is also a too early to tell call . He certainly brings a needed facet to Allens arm and Dabolls scheme. but they have different skill sets imo. if they can improve on the position? i trust they will. and if Jones gets pushed off the roster because of that? just fine by me. Jones will find work

There must be a solid reason Zay fell apart emotionally his first year. We most all know he was pretty damned decent in College. and most of us liked the pick because he looked solid day one starter to me. in slot as w 2B or #3. and that is important to keep in mind. He got off to a horrid start as a Bill. on and off the field, nearly epic bad first season. Epic bad. Last he looked to me he ran better routes. he absolutely has more work to do. I think strongly Bills give him plenty of competition. But i also believe he earned his keep well enough/ Late bloomer. real late lol. needs to work on separation on the short area routes. Josh does not trust him enough yet either.Both guy sare young. don't forget 54 ! and still a kid learning he can play behind or opposite 55 or Lawson But yes Bills would do well to be very sure they know what T. Murphy can bring this year. i might agree with Gunner here about Murphy. Hope i we he is wrong though. Bills will need to fill that role with a starter. quinn might fit the bill (lol)

damn Man ! way to see the connections. Taking James is a solid move for the Bills, if they pull it off. Give him a smart contract and Bill are still not limiting themselves. Imo they need at least two TEs and maybe 3. certainly drafting one or two could happen. But scoring a steady guy like James would be a huge improvement for the Offense. and I do like the Chandler references as a compliment to both players ! absolutely should look hard at drafting a viable (starting ) tight end via the draft and a perhaps an investment type who can plays Special Teams well enough to add value right away and Croom is still a project Bills are hoping upon !

as a receiver i think you look what the passing game last year. and the Offense as a whole. if i was Brown? i would pass. and if i was me ? i don't want him here. Develop via the draft and youth at Wr. and that is why Bills need to fix the O line and TEs. protect Josh and run the damned ball effectively : )

I might imagine Bills could throw to Brown many many times and his percentage of catches would be nice. But teams will triple cover him lol. and the ball might be coming out in a hurry. and teams will nickel and dime us all Sunday .

Brown coming to Buffalo would be stupid for him. he should go to the Packers. Rodgers can handle him and make better use. Bills still only have one TE signed. lets fix that first and an O line that , well , needs some work. long term sustainable winning. that means smart staggered contracts. Brown should go to a very solid SB contender. just my humble opinion. ( and i think his screws are too loose )

I dig ya. Having faith in the FO with player acquisition is hard for longer term Bills Fans. McBeanes ? They seem to have some defining methods. Being able to move up and down the draft seems to be something Bills will do under Beane. Risner seems to be a good fit for every reason !
