  1. Can't wait for McDermott to force Beane to draft a DB.
  2. This is a funny thread, and it's a bizarre hypothetical, but if we're being honest I would rather Peterman play than Kurt Warner right now. He's 47 and hasn't played pro football in 9 years. He's so out of shape he would get severely injured and then Peterman would have to come in anyways.
  3. Hey, only the second worst offense in 30+ years! Looks like Daboll is coaching exactly to the level we should have expected:
  4. The third down stat is hilarious and embodies this franchise perfectly. I believe we gave up another 3rd and 15+ on Sunday, as is tradition.
  5. Nope, it was not a snow game at all. That was the time he beat us 8-0 with a safety and two field goals. I didn't attend that game or I would have included it on the list. That wasn't a snow game. Edit: Officially, that game's weather was listed as: Weather 47 degrees relative humidity 54%, wind 13 mph
  6. This is tough for me... On the one hand Peterman was the quarterback for the worst game I've ever attended (BUF at LAC last year), but Anderson was the quarterback for the second worst game I've ever attended (CLE at BUF in '09). For those who don't remember, Anderson won 6-3, with this stat line: 2 completions, 17 pass attempts, 23 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
  7. Yikes. There's nothing "good" to look at there. It's getting to the point where the only positives for Allen are his arm strength, his tenacity, and his youth.
  8. I don't know how exactly, but I think Logan Thomas would probably be worse than even Peterman. Come on... that was six yards, easily.
  9. No, but one TD in 13 quarters would be nice.
  10. I said after the game that if they start Peterman again I wouldn't watch, but after thinking about it some more it would probably the most exciting game of the year.
  11. I don't know enough about punting to know if it's his fault. I know that I can't remember another time we had a blocked punt and I know that it was costly. I also know that his other two strikes were enough for me to want to critique his signing before this game ever happened. I don't think the punter is the reason that we lost the game, and this season it's pretty far down on my list of things to complain about with the team, but McDermott is making questionable decisions all over the place - and I'm not willing to give him a pass for switching up the punter/holder a minute before the season starts. I think he's got a hell of a leg, and I think it would be so cool if he had a 15 year career as this guy who just booms it 50+ yards every time.
  12. I'm not really a big fan of the whole "pitchforks on a monday after a loss crowd" ... but consecutive 80 yard passing games in 2018 is a hell of a lot more cringe worthy to me. The creepy thing is I actually think McDermott thinks he knows what he's doing. He strikes me as a stubborn guy. Great leaders are willing to look to others for advice and are usually masters of delegation and empowering others around them to be successful.
  13. The guy has been on the field only a handful of times and has already been apart of 3 blunders. I think he's got a big leg (it's undeniable really), but I really don't like it when the punter is a continuing storyline. He should be an afterthought. It looks like Schmidt never had a punt blocked. Is that pure luck? I actually can't remember the last time the Bills have had a punt blocked. Did Moorman ever have that happen to him in hundreds of punts? I mean, I don't know... is that where we are now? Making excuses for punters? Jesus, it's not rocket science folks... these guys cut a serviceable punter for a guy that never took a snap (preseason or otherwise) in front of more than 3,000 people in his life. It's absurd that this staff deserves the benefit of the doubt.
  14. I couldn't disagree with you more. EJ had his faults, he probably belongs where he is, but 5 games into his career I was a lot more excited for EJ. He made some clutch plays, just like Allen, but never had back-to-back 80 yard passing games.
  15. We've seen this script several times over. If they make it to 2020 it won't be because they really nailed their highly anticipated second** draft. For them to have a chance, Allen will have to defy all logic and actually improve dramatically, to the dismay of most scouts and analysts. **McDermott's third.
  16. We'll get nowhere in hypotheticals, but what specifically about Mahomes' success has led you to believe it came from a season of grooming?
  17. That would be a world record on our team.
  18. You nailed it. The most annoying part of this "rebuild" is hearing fans bring it up like we were pre-selected as the team who needs to gut their roster this season. We did this to ourselves, and worst of all, we need to have faith in this management to be the ones to figure it out. "How could Allen succeed with this roster" is a great question, and one they should have addressed two years ago when they blatantly started going all in on their QB. The icing on the cake for me is that we have Daboll, who has massive warts from his THREE failed OC opportunities, but all we heard was a how he held a clipboard for a national championship and fetched water for the Patriots***. I'd like to think that we as Bills fans are experts in mediocrity. We tend to split up around this point in the season, where half become skeptical and the other half become delusional. The skeptical fans are trying to figure out how McDermott is even remotely capable of fielding an offense worthy of playing this century, while the delusional see Josh Allen's big arm and call it a day. Obviously its more nuanced than that, but it does boil down to this: In nearly 20 years we haven't been good at all. We've had decent defenses and flashes here and there, but both sides, the delusional and skeptical alike had determined we need a QB. Every game that goes by where we don't have one -- and every game that goes by where Mahomes and the like light it up -- deep down we all know we're one game closer to the eventual head coach firing. I'm not a fan of this cyclical ritual, but as earlier stated, I'm an expert in mediocrity, and I can see this one coming from a mile away. Josh Allen could be great, and I'm hoping against hope that is... but as of today he's got a lot more in common with EJ, Trent, JP, etc. than Mahomes and his peers.
  19. Maybe they shouldn't have fired a head coach after a playoff win...
  20. E Moulds also was great as a returner in the chances he did get on the field. I agree completely that he was never going to be a bust.
  21. I agree, if we switch head coaches next year we might be able to get it done in 2.
  22. We brought the rebuild upon ourselves, and did so in mind-numbing fashion. Today, Nick O'Leary caught a TD pass from Brock Osweiler. The rest of the league has no problem scoring with waiver wire guys, yet here we are, trotting out sub 100 yard passing performances like they're badges of honor.
  23. You honestly think Allen would be playing like Mahomes right now if he was on the Chiefs?
  24. The Patriots have only scored 100 more points than us so far this season? Wow, they're having an off year.
