  1. A moment of pure nostalgia as I reminisce about Russ Brandon threads. Alas, the more you change, the more you stay the same.
  2. It's fun, but not when we go months in between touchdowns.
  3. I think I understand where you're going. Let's make the button red with caution tape over it. While we're add it, let's require a simple math equation to deter new threads. I'm thinking 2+2 might get it done.
  4. Are you joking? He had Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones and David Nelson. A 7th rounder and two undrafted FA's. Gailey was a bad coach, but his offensive scheming and ability to squeeze production out of no talent should never be questioned. 38% is lower than 62%, you know that right?
  5. *Edit: OP originally had Mayer instead of maybe in the title. I'm not completely crazy. GIF is staying.
  6. As a guy who thinks it's probably somewhere between 5 - 10%, I resent being associated with the 0% group. At least I'm factoring in the chance that every member of every roster except ours gets a nasty year-long bout of the measles and has to sit out the 2019 season.
  7. They did this though. McVay inherited a similar team and look at the Rams in the same amount of time... There were other options for improving the team. This isn't a league mandated rebuild and we certainly didn't have to toss all our talented players to the curb.
  8. You at least admit making the playoffs was one of the luckiest things ever and we were a Colts 2 point conversion flag away from having an incredibly similar season than like 6 of our last 7, right?
  9. I voted Peterman, but who cares. Derek Anderson has me about as excited as I get on tax day. McBeane should be ashamed of what they've trotted out there on offense. I'm not even sure a team has ever had two worse QBs and we once entered a game with QB 1 Thad Lewis, QB 2 Jeff Tuel.
  10. I agree whole heartedly to your second point. Whether or not he's worse is a toss up. They're both just about the last two quarterbacks I'd ever want to start.
  11. Yeah! Derek Anderson came in off the street and totally outplayed him. ? Kirby, it turns out we're just terrible. Peterman a little more maybe than the others, but this is basically the darkest hour for our offense. It truly does not matter. We're dangerously close to, "hey, at least we have a team" territory.
  12. I've never cared less in my life. I guess gun to my head I'd say Peterman, but only because it would be the greatest win of the last 20 years if we beat Brady with him. Odds of that happening are .5%, but the odds of Derek Anderson winning are 1% so whats the point?
  13. You know what would be fun? Taking all this free cap spce and handing it to someone who knows what they're doing. Thanks for nothing McBeane, but on second thought, we'll take it from here. It will never happen, but a man can dream.
  14. We just got stomped by a 1-5 team.
  15. This offseason we get to see what McBeane's idea of a rebuild looks like. They're going to spend a crapload of resources and I couldn't have less faith that they're going to screw it up.
  16. It's not way too early. It's a little early. No need to be delusional and pretend that anything can happen. It's looking like a long shot for Allen and fans need to be honest about that.
  17. Love Jerry Hughes. We scored 5 points out there, that penalty had nothing to do with why we lost.
  18. What? McVay was like 30 when he was hired. Surely that's younger than McDermott.
  19. I haven't been here for the whole thread so I don't know how bad it's gotten, but surely the Bills are linked to Mahomes regardless of the fan opinion and polarizing view points. We traded out of the pick used to take him, despite being in the market for a QB. It's an undeniable Bills topic, not just "discussing a dynamic player in the league".
  20. Andy Reid has proven time and time again that he is a QB master. Josh Allen would probably look pretty sick in KC right now. Of course Mahomes is good, and of course it seems like he'll end up the better QB, but do any of you truly believe it would work here with this coaching staff? We deliberately stunt our offense and willfully neglect addressing entire positions.
  21. This is one of those ones where I don't want to hear crap about hindsight is 50/50. Anyone that knows me knows I was actively calling for McVay. I really don't understand our desire for ultra conservatism. Last year we made the playoffs and it was the flukiest thing ever. I flew from LA to JAX and had an absolutely miserable time watching Marrone HAND US THE GAME on a platter. Outside of one drive where McDermott's D let Blake f***ing Bortles run for like 40 yards, the Jaguars did nothing. They gave us the ball several times in good field position and we squandered it due to a complete misunderstanding of how and when to coach aggressively. I guess this is just another dumb rant, but really I'm discouraged by our front office. They've shown me no reason to think they're the answer, and I have a very similar feeling to how I felt around 25 games into all of our coaches since Wade.
  22. The overall message of the OP, that McDermott and co are inept at judging the offensive side of the ball seems to be pretty accurate. I worry that they're someone fearful of innovative offenses, particularly because they like to stick to what they know. Nothing about the Bills offense, under either of the last two OC's could be described as innovative.
  23. Looks like Peterman landed a nice one on coach when he took the news.
