  1. Agreed. Even if it was a small meniscus tear, it's not the end of the world. If it was small enough for McDermott to say week-to-week, then it's a pain tolerance thing and he can play in the playoffs with some shots before the games and get surgery as the season ends. The fact that we're speculating on the knee injury at this point is probably good. It helps to rule out a ligament tear, and there's no way they wouldn't have already reported that.
  2. In case anyone else is dealing with the same question - confirmed from the ticketing office - the account holder does not need to attend, BUT, the people on the list who ARE attending need to have access to their account login at the gate for mobile ticketing. That's it.
  3. Not really, especially depending on severity. I had a pretty serious torn meniscus that required surgery and I finished a hockey game. If he had a little tear it might have stung and hurt a little, but because he could walk fine it's totally plausible to me that he could have toughed it out to the sidelines. I do think he would have been wincing a little more while he was walking off though. I just don't want to rule it out since these are world class athletes and who knows what type of pain meds he was on in the first place.
  4. Could be a torn meniscus though. Depending on severity of the tear it can be a combination of a pain tolerance thing with a decision on whether or not to risk damaging it before getting surgery after the season. I don't know how many player have suffered a minor tear towards the playoffs and pushed through, but it can't be zero.
  5. We are trying to figure this out. My dad can't go to the game (health reasons), but the tickets are in his name. Seems ridiculous that our family wouldn't be allowed to go in this scenario. To be safe we'll use my name as the purchaser, but if they try to say he has to go... I'm just at a loss. *Edit - I should mention our ticket window is at 430 EST today.
  6. I've been impressed with Beane and how he turned the team around so quickly. As long as he is here I'm not worried at all. As for McDermott, it's hard to argue with his success so far, but I do think he takes a back seat to some of the great coaches. When we lose it can get ugly some times. I don't have the math in front of me but some of our biggest losses in the last decade have come under McD. One more thing that annoys me is the second half adjustments. It seems like every single week since he's been here the other teams is able to make offensive and defensive adjustments that catch us off guard. It's obviously more nuanced than that, but that seems more indicative of coaching strategy than perhaps even wins and losses. All in all though, it's clear he's the most "together" coach we've had in 20 years and I think aside from some in-game clock management stuff, questionable challenges, and that famous timeout he takes to see what the offense comes out in, I can't really complain.
  7. Oh she's flawed - you don't need to tell me that. I'm just noting that so far her biggest contribution to left has been engaging new voters and fighting fire with fire. You called it the us vs. them, but that's literally the entire Republic playbook. I'm okay with a couple people on the left using that tactic since it seems going high did nothing for them amid scandal after scandal on the right. Even the impeachment was modest and tame compared to how the right portrayed Clinton during the nonsense in the late 90's. As for bashing Pelosi - that was needed. AOC being critical of the massively corrupt and outdated DNC is a good thing for the left. They've been ignoring their tech-savy growing young supporters for too long.
  8. The entire state votes on Senate seats. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but both seats are up for grabs in GA because of a special election.
  9. I'm by no means a massive AOC supporter, but she's spent the last year and half calling out the WH's bs. I genuinely don't know what you're talking about with "the bronx lens of crafting sound policy"... she's made incredible headway with witty/quick replies on twitter to highlight how out of touch most of the GOP dinosaurs are. I would argue she represents the voice of the young progressive left, and nothing more. I have noticed the GOP is frightened of her popularity, but that's a whole different thing.
  10. GA Senate going to runoff is the best thing the dems could have hoped for. GOP is dejected/wrapped up in conspiracy theories at the moment. The left already proved to have an excellent grass roots campaign in the south this year and focusing one month on one state should be enough to win both seats. If Atlanta shows up again, they're in great shape.
  11. When you are done hitting the period key perhaps you can read what your savior had to say about the electoral college:
  12. How many people associated with Trump were convicted? There’s a difference between baseless fraud claims and facts.
  13. Weird that they basically took him out in the second half. They gave up some opportunities to get the yardage record and a couple more touchdowns. I understand the need to not want to run it up or let the other players get in the game, but you don't get that many chances at records like that and I think the program could use the attention.
  14. Are these conspiracy theorists legally changing their last name to MAGA?
  15. No it's not less hassle. I'm curious... how old are you? There is nothing wrong with the league's "push for mobile". This has been how staples center games have been for a long time now. I've never seen an issue there. Fans need to get with the times.
  16. Obviously not ideal, but if this means more Jordan Phillips I think we'll be fine.
  17. You're really helping your case here. We must be the smartest fanbase in the league, right? I'm impressed with how you needlessly included a dig against California here. Hope it made you feel better.
  18. Great write up. Hopefully we keep rolling so the easy schedule helps us get to games in January.
  19. He was able to walk off without a limp so that's probably good news. I also have no idea what I'm talking about.
  20. I think his usage is more complicated than that. He's out there to dictate the Defense's tendencies and force their personnel. When he's out there, they are likely to put out an LB. When they move him out wide, it helps determine if the coverage is man or zone.
  21. Wait... there are people who doubt the legitimacy of CTE?

  23. A great hypothetical, and I'm sure we all know how we would we react to that. I respectfully disagree.
