You seem fun. -
I actually find it hilarious that it bothers you and others so much that people want to follow Rosen.

Zay to Active-Non-Football Injury, Palepoi released

It's not very common to run around a hotel, naked and bloody, and then just go about your life. I'm not sure why fans are expecting him to be a factor this year. -
Julio Jones is not going to report to Camp.

People are clamoring for top talent WR's like we have any idea how to use them. We're all hoping that the misuse of Watkins for years and the pathetic passing attack last year is all on Tyrod, but let's not downplay just how conservative this coaching staff is. Under Daboll, let's look at his leading receiver stats... 2009 - Mohamed Massaquoi 34 catches, 624 Yards, 3 TDs 2010 - Mohamed Massaquoi 36 catches, 483 Yards, 2 TDs 2011 - Brandon Marshall 81 catches, 1214 yards, 6 TDs 2012 - Dwayne Bowe 59 catches, 801 yards, 3 TDs Were those teams bad? Sure, but offensively we don't look much better on paper. Multiple seasons with his leading WR having less than 40 catches is scary stuff. I'm fully prepared for KB to have 600 - 800 yards and 5-6 TDs, and it's not because I don't think he's great. -

I live in Los Angeles so I have a different threshold for a fun city than I used to when I lived in Buffalo. I've been to a little over half of the NFL cities, but I think it's been enough for me to come up with a pretty solid list of crappy ones. My bottom 5 cities in the NFL 5. Cleveland - I've had some good times in Cleveland, but the area of fun is a small isolated arts district (not unlike Buffalo if we're being honest). 4. Detroit - I've had less good times in Detroit. I think enough has been written about its status as an empty chunk of concrete. 3. Charlotte - This is a city that just isn't for me. Country music and "safe" conservatism means that their idea of a good time is a bar with all white people singing Kenny Chesney with the "wild one" of the group climbing on a decorative wagon wheel and being very agreeable when the staff motions her to get down. 2. Cincinnati - There are no words. It's just a joke of a city. 1. Jacksonville - I can't stand Florida as a whole - but my god Jacksonville was shockingly boring. The "cool spots" that locals recommended were essentially suburban strip malls. The city was barren and had less than a handful of bars worth walking into. It was a struggle to find a decent dive bar, and even then it was just a confusing hodgepodge of uncultured drunks. Honorable mention: Buffalo I no longer live in Buffalo. I love the renaissance of the west side, the few things built near the waterfront, and of course the food. Depending on what you're interested in, Buffalo can be incredibly boring though. I was able to make the most of my time there - but I have no problem going to diy music shows or midnight bike rides. Unless there's a city-wide ban on chicken wings Buffalo can never dip into the bottom five. Green Bay I've never been to Green Bay, but I've been to Milwuakee a couple times and I like it on par with Buffalo. I've been told Green Bay is way smaller and has no night life, so I have to assume it's got to be pretty boring, but I don't even know if it qualifies for the list. It's more of a town, isn't it?

What will Daboll's offense look like?
fridge replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on his previous NFL OC stints, I think the only way to do this is to set your expectations incredibly low. This way, if they have even a semblance of a passing attack we can all be blown away. -
So we can just type "I will not pass judgement" immediately following a fabricated story that does nothing but pass judgement. Is that how this works?
-
I agree. Pure speculation, but it's possible the "more to the story" part could also include a third person that actually robbed her/beat her, potentially someone else that she knows or was involved with. Right now it's... "I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months" vs. He dumped me without saying anything, tried to evict me by shutting off the electricity/moving my stuff, and did so without any warning The beating/robbing/instagram post could be terrible luck for shady. It could also mean she's telling the truth. I dunno who to go with here, but it feels like the making of a true crime documentary.
-
I agree, which is why I didn't include everything in the document. I was just trying to list out some of the details from their side that seemed to get overlooked, like shady shutting off the electricity on them less than a month after he "ghosted" her completely. Again, and I stated it every time I brought it up in my post - this is all according to her and her attorney. She could be crazy, I'm not ruling that out.
-
Having read the court document from her attorney, I think it's clear that shady is incredibly petty. A couple key points... 1. According to his ex, McCoy never broke it off, he just stopped communicating (this is provable, and seems like a weird thing to lie about... not a good look for shady) 2. According to his ex, McCoy had not asked her to move out (this... seems wrong, and what you might say if you're squatting...but that's what she's alleging) 3. According to his ex, McCoy hired movers to remove her stuff (again, bizarre that he did so without telling her to move out...allegedly) 4. According to his ex, McCoy turned off the electricity, despite her living there with her kids A few of those details, especially the bit about turning off her electricity, seem incredibly petty but not outside of the realm of an attempt to evict. The part that is most tricky to me is how it all started so suddenly and how little communication she alleges that she had with McCoy. McCoy's lack of empathy to the ex is a notable fact of the "case", and I feel like a clear motive is easily provable. I think it's entirely possible that McCoy could be responsible for sending someone to the house, but it seems unlikely he would've have left an obvious trail of communication. As of tonight there has been no evidence released that suggests McCoy is at all involved, and I think that conjecture from the original instagram post and the lack of empathy in this story overall could lead to a suspension as an investigation digs a little deeper. It does seem though, that apart from tying him to the beating/robbing, there would be any reason to assume any criminal charges will come about.
-
Look man, we're all Bills fans. I like shady and want this to go away if he didn't do it just as much as anyone... ...but what's the point in calling her out the way that you are? One of the few facts that we do know is that she was beaten. I see no reason to jump so far ahead as to blame the victim, and I especially don't see why I would do that just because she's an instagram model (I don't understand why that's for shame btw - looks like it got her the opportunity to date an NFL star and go on fancy trips across the country...).
-
Where do you see that he filed a demand for return of items?
-
I don't understand how you can put all that together from a couple instagram photos.
-
I thought this as well. If no evidence emerges, and this stays deeply entrenched in a game of he-said-she-said, this will only be a civil case. The NFL has already established the precedent that they don't require criminal charges to lay down a suspension. In my opinion, the only thing that could prevent a suspensions or worse for Shady at this point would evidence that the man/men that committed the assault had no relation to McCoy. My gut tells me Shady (whether innocent or not) will never be found to have done anything in connection with her injuries. Even a civil case would be very thin if their entire argument is that he mentioned jewelry before and that the same jewelry was stolen.

That's just what her attorney says. That is not an established fact.
-
Also, that he’s posting getting up early to work out and reminiscing about highlights. Doesn’t like up well with the allegation that this all happened last night. I’ll stop speculating for now. Some variation of the truth will come out.
-
Jesus that’s a lot of allegations to drop at the same time.

While not illegal, sharing non-consented text messages is highly immoral. Mike Harrington would certainly not have written that text message to Tim Graham if he knew it would be shared online. Similarly, excluding the full context of the texts makes this incredibly one-sided. Tim's decision to include the keyboard in the screenshot to hide the previous message tells me he wasn't entirely innocent and egged him on. As for my thoughts on The Athletic... I don't live in Buffalo anymore and I don't really care about sports coverage. I periodically get my news from here and reddit and that's still way better than any fan had access to in the 80's and 90's. I don't really get the desire to "go deeper" and get more coverage (which, let's be real...is mostly re-hashed articles written with quotes from the same press conference they've already cited...all under the guise of fresh journalism). A few years back when WGR started posting articles using the all-22 screenshots I thought immediately about how unqualified they were to report it. I was still interested in seeing the breakdown, but it didn't take long before I realized that Jeremy White had no idea what he was talking about. I feel the same way about Cover 1. I'm not here to argue about the guy's reputation, but I can think of multiple examples where he used screenshots of plays to support a biased theory and it was weak at best. If a former coach or player had a similar setup and broke down plays I would be very interested in reading, learning and following their articles. I expect a lot of you to have different opinions -- and seeing as this is a message board about a sports team I'm sure we have our fair share of fanatics who genuinely want more "coverage". As I've gotten older, sports in general has consumed a lot less of my time and I can't stand the NFL and the politics being injected into football. I just like the sport, going to games, embracing victories with those from my hometown and talking about the games with friends and family during the season. The social media era has had the unintended effect of dissociating the sport from the players. We have players tweeting nonsense and actual journalists using those tweets to drum up "stories". I don't think lazy is the right term because, well, it's content and I understand why they do that, but there's very little insight and connections that any of these journalists have with the players beyond what I have access to. It's not like the old days when they used to be buddies. When I read someone like Tim Graham breaking down a player's twitter rant I end up thinking that I've wasted my time. I also read the twitter rant. How about add in some context, do research, contact those around them, see if there's even a story? I can read the twitter rant on my own and make my own assumptions. I will likely never subscribe to the Athletic because I've more than paid for my share of free coverage by watching ads and being a targeted consumer. The quality of the content on their site would need to be extraordinary for me to consider it, and even then, I doubt I'd be interested in reading lengthy articles and stories by glorified bloggers. The one thing I won't do is make fun of those that do subscribe to The Athletic. The greatest thing to come out of the internet age is for like minded people to find their niche and if being a sports fanatic is your niche, please subscribe and give them all the feedback you can to make it better. *Edit - a word.
