  1. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...ck.33ea398.html Rick's 2nd mock: Note that his 2nd mock focuses in on TEAM NEED I have found his 2nd mock a waste of time - again I think that will be the case. Cluasen not going pick 4, bulaga falling a mile never gonna happen etc
  2. Lions Considering a Trade for a Running Back Lions GM Martin Mayhew has acknowledged that they are looking for another solid running back. PFT names Marshawn Lynch as a possibility in their report. The question is, what are they willing to give up to get one?
  3. Look - if Clausen goes in front of us that increases the chance that one of the top three OT's does. Bradford - Suh - McCoy - Okung = 4/8 picks in front of us Still left are Clausen - Trent Williams - Bryan Bulaga - Eric Berry. If they ALL go, that leaves us with NT Dan Williams or Spiller perhaps. They could also go with Davis or Campbell or Haden (doubtful) Dez Bryant will also still be there and Morgan. I think pick 5 is the key: If the Chiefs go TACKLE then the "tackle run" begins. If they go Berry (which is what I expect them to do), then one of tackles OR CLAUSEN probably falls to us. T-Minus 7 days and 5 hours (8:45 pm is when the Chiefs pick). -RnJ
  4. yes - but if your sons are bumming money to buy the beer in your avatar, then that's not a lot of moola.

  6. Until the Marshall trade I thought there was no way the Bills could get a 2nd for Lynch. In my opinion, he is extremely talented physically but he is a ticking time bomb being one more mistake away from a full year suspension. Add to that the fact that he did not come back from suspension last year with fire in his belly. Jackson consistently fought for the extra yards - played "smart", and catches everything thrown his way. An extra 2nd rounder is intriguing. The Bills COULD draft Spiller in round 1, Cody or McCoy in round 2, they could trade for Campbell (perhaps only costing them a 5th round pick). They could trade for Gaithers and still have a 2nd round pick left. So it is possible the Bills could be sitting with: Spillers - Campbell - Gaithers - McCoy by the end of the draft.
  7. good ol' PFT - aren't they a guaranteed great source for info (sarcasm turned ON) http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ater-this-week/
  8. Look - if you don't care then you don't care O.K.? This guy is statistically the best. If you don't "believe" in statistics , fine. This guy tends to consistently get the most right in the first round (32 picks) year after year compared to the competition. He has the Bills getting Bulaga - I hope he's right.
  9. consistently one of the best mock draft predictors: http://rootzoo.com/threads/view/NFL-Footba...k-Drafts_307633 http://www.thehuddlereport.com/Free/mockdraftscoring.shtml
  10. this was where I got my info - straight from the horse's mouth http://www.burntorangenation.com/2010/4/9/...-got-three-mock so, where the hell is his mock??
  11. For those that are interested - I KNOW some of you aren't so don't friggin click on the Mock draft then!!! - here is a link to someone who pirated the Insider's (ESPN) joint McShay/Kiper latest: http://slumz.boxden.com/f16/mel-kiper-todd...so-far-1359432/ I agree with them that the Bills PROBABLY take the best OT on the board if any of the top four are there (Okung-Williams-Davis-Bulaga). I still think the Bills could go Clausen however.
  12. where did you get this ? You don't know what you are talking about the top mock-drafters have consistently been Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News), Mike Band (draftace) and CBS' Clark Judge. Mel comes out about 5-10% below these guys most every year. but suit yourself
  13. For those that know he is consistently one of the best at Mock Drafts: Rich Gosselin's Mocks Sunday April 11, Mock #1 Sunday April 18th Mock #2 Third one to be something like the 21st or 22nd I HAVE been predicting the Bills draft Bulaga but it is looking like he will be gone by pick 9. Trent Williams may still be there. Clausen will almost definitely there. As will Davis. I do not buy the Mel Kiper "rumor" nor nevergiveup. There's a new sheriff in town and he's the anti Dick the moron jauron. The Bills want a new QB it'll be either through trade (Campbell) in the next few weeks or by draft (Clausen). if Bulaga or Williams are there though at pick nine.....hmmmmmmmmm -RnJ
  14. This would be a great situation - win win IMO My prediction is that you take the potential franchise QB
  15. Look - everyone - unless the ONLY offensive tackles YOU consider "top" are Bulaga and Okung, then it is highly unlikely ALL the top OT's will be gone by pick 9. DEFINITELY gone by pick 9 will be: Bradford, Suh, McCoy and Okung. (4) Highly likely to be gone by pick 9 are Berry and Haden (2) This means that there are only two more players who can be gone prior to our pick. Trent Williams, Brian Bulaga are two more OT's that most experts believe are top notch OT's. Next comes Davis and Campbell Non OT's highly ranked include Dan Morgan, J. Pierre-Paul, R McClain, R.J. Spiller and Dez Bryant Not to mention Jim Clausen. IMO, The Bills will have their choice of Clausen and either Trent WIlliams or Clausen and Bryan Bulaga. The Bills STILL may select Morgan for that matter. If it were me, I would either trade for Campbell (5th round pick) and draft Williams/Bulaga and then maybe move up for Cody or let him fall to us (possible) or draft Clausen and then trade with Baltimore for Jered Gaither. It is POSSIBLE (but unlikely) Campbell falls to us at 41. anyway, one of the OT's will be there at pcik 9 and Clausen......argue over THAT.
  16. Rick Gosselin - Dallas News - is consistently the most accurate. His first (of three) mock drafts should come out in about 10 days. Getting the first 4 picks correct is relatively easy. 5-10 are harder (especially when Oakland is picking!) 11-32 are indeed a crap shoot.
  17. According to the trade value chart - a #9 -is worth 1350 and a #13 is worth 1150 the 49ers 49th (#2 pick) is worth 420. Their #3, however, which is pick 79 is worth 195 Thus the trade would be Bills 1st for SF's 1st and SF's 3rd. sorry to burst your bubble.
  18. I am fine with this - I can also see the Bills going Cody in round 2 if he makes it there. Or McCoy instead of Tebow.
  19. http://www.gbnreport.com/2010projection.html 1 St. Louis Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma 2 Detroit Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska 3 Tampa Bay Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma 4 Washington Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State 5 Kansas City Eric Berry FS Tennessee 6 Seattle C.J. Spiller RB Clemson 7 Cleveland Joe Haden CB Florida 8 Oakland Trent Williams OT Oklahoma 9 Buffalo Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame I can see Washington going with Clausen. Same goes for Seattle and Cleveland. Who the hell knows what Oakland will do. Nevergiveup not withstanding, I think the Bills WILL draft Clausen if he is there otherwise they will either take Bulaga or Morgan. My prefernece is the QB or the OT. Lord knows we need to improve the offensive tackle position. RnJ
  20. One thing that seems to be confusing everyone is this issue of McNabb signing a longterm contract - I have seen this at TBD and at various sports reporting outlets (such as ESPN.com). McNabb has no no-trade clause. That was reported inaccurately so put that to rest As to the extended contract, McNabb is risking a huge amount of money if he refuses to negotiate a new deal this year. If there is a strike next year, as far as I know he would keep any bonus money he would get this year (makes sense). But if he plays out his old contract he would get the May 1st bonus and his 2010 salary but that would certainly be considerably less than he would get this year with a new contract (upfront/bonus money). If there is indeed a strike in 2011, he loses out. Meanwhile , the Bills can always franchise him IF there is no strike. Yes, that is a huge number but they will not have paid 2010 prices for him in 2010 (and no extra bonus money). So, I do not understand the concerns right now over the issue of an extension especially with the strike looming. Is he worth a 2nd round pick IMO? I would say yes but his price may be dropping - perhaps to a 3rd and a conditional pick in 2011. my 2 cents RichNJoIsy
  21. so much for THAT: From NFL.com - ORLANDO, Fla. -- In a change from the norm, the league will not announce any games scheduled for the 2010 season at the NFL Annual Meeting this week, a league source said Tuesday. Generally, the league would announce some key primetime matchups during the meeting, but that will not be the case this year. There are some unresolved issues, and the schedule isn't ready for these games to be locked in yet. An announcement on the full schedule is expected to come at once in mid-April. Probably this has to do with more baby tears from the JETS about getting the first game at home in their new stadium At least Jet fans get their whimpering attitude honestly - comes from the top on down. wimps
  22. It is best to not take these kinds of rumors too seriously - even if YOU were asking the question and heard FIRSTHAND the reply, you STILL couldn't be sure what Reid really meant to say. In this case this is a report of what someone heard and is a reporter (or two) trying to get an article written to make money (which is their vocation - writing sports articles......grain of salt time, folks). The facts are these: 1.) Quality QB's are a rare and precious commodity. 2.) McNabb is better than (unarguably) half of the QB's in the NFL - the argument is is he 15, 12, 10, ....etc? How many teams would hesitate to trade a 2nd rounder for McNabb which is what this article is implying??? so, I do not think Reid meant (or perhaps even said any of what this article says) to say the Eagles would ever trade McNabb for less than a 1st round pick. Now Vick may be traded - that's a big possibility. I actually thought they would release him on March 1st. That's ONE wrong prediction by yours truly... my 2 cents
  23. "The NFL will announce its 2010 prime time schedule Monday, March 22. " Just an FYI....
  24. ummm the senators are losing to toronto they can't catch us if they never win
  25. I just can't see this happening. I hear you on the rankings bit but the Bills desperately need to fill holes at the offensive tackle and nose tackle positions. "Can't miss" is STILL not guaranteed so, if one has to GUESS in the draft you have to WEIGHT your guess on need. My guess is Bulaga, Williams, or Davis or possibly Morgan. Okung will be long gone (could go #2) as will Bradford, Suh and Gerald McCoy.
