Bleacher latest Mock Draft looks ohh so good...

I agree - this is why I loved this mock draft. Fairley at pick 3 and Mallett in the 2nd round. I say, put it in the books! -

Bleacher latest Mock Draft looks ohh so good...

I liked what I saw in the Bowl game. I know there are questions particularly about throwing under pressure but he appears to have a solid and accurate arm. -
This is only a little thing, but I have noticed how the Bills offensive line the past several games has (apparently been taught by the coaching staff) pointed at (and touched when possible) any defensive player who crosses into the neutral zone before the snap of the ball. It is a RELATIVELY new rule where a defensive player can be called for "imitating the start of a play" where the old rule was the the defense could do basically anything and the offensive player could not even flinch. (neutral zone infraction) So, what the Bills linemen are doing is reacting to the encroachment and moving "in response" (oh my!) thus forcing the referees to huddle and then accurately rule that the defensive player caused the flinch EVEN THOUGH THE OFFENSIVE LINEMAN KNOWS THE DEFENSIVE PLAYER IS TRYING TO GET BACK ONSIDE BEFORE THE BALL IS SNAPPED. Now that the Bills are doing this, it is obvious. Smart training by the coaching staff -RnJ

I know that blitzing Golden Boy is risky but only rushing 3 is the kiss of death. How was it that he could sit back there for up to 5-6 even 7 seconds waiting for receivers to come open? THAT was the "brilliant" defensive scheme the Jets DC came up with?? Can you imagine a Bills QB having that much time? sigh I hate the Cheatriots.

what particularly upset me was the OVERRULE of the on-the-field call plus the decision that "possession" occurred at the first instant when the ball was caught (inbounds) rather tha when the two players landed (out of bounds) and THEN why was it ruled a TD instead of 1st down Vikings at the 1? I also agree it was offensive Pass interference.

Ummmmmm No One (or two or three) outguns you Mr. R. No one. I will consider the Bills WELL represented. As to your other comments, I was slow but now am sold on Fitzy - he has the brains, the guts, the resiliency and the "attitude" to be a NFL caliber QB. The high frequency of mis-throws cannot - IMO - be slam-dunked blamed on inconsistency. It might be that but could it be that he still needs to learn defenses AND one has to wonder how many (if any I grant you) of his INTs can be blamed on the WR's (not running the correct patterns OR on a lack of timing)? It seems obvious FINALLY that the Bills have their QB for the immediate future. Even if the draft a QB high next year, I do not think Fitzy loses his starting job for awhile. In the meantime, it will be interesting (and exciting) to see if Fitzy's INT numbers start to drop as he matures and as the line improves (I assume it has to start getting better next year......gulp) Go Bills! Slam the Steelers!

The Cincinnati Bengals signed free-agent OT Kirk Chambers (Bills) today according to kffl.com

yep

Just so you know - if Poz had called time out - it would have been a 15 yard penalty. You can't call consecutive time outs without an intervening play. As to the actual play - SOMEBODY f-d up and it wasn't Poz - no way SHOULD the coverage have been him on Johnson by himself. So either the DC screwed up or a specific player blew the coverage.

OK so do we know if Merriman is practicing?
richNjoisy replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I expect he must be or is expected to be KFFL.com is reporting the Bills expect him to play "spot duty" IF they deem he is physically fit to play. (per Chris brown) -
Draft implications of no 2011 season?
richNjoisy replied to Hail Flutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My understanding is that there would be a draft. Underclassmen would have the option, of course, of not entering the draft but they would be risking injury at the college level by playing. I do not know if any of the drafted players would get paid anything but the owners might set up some system where contracts are signed with contingencies. I cannot see the draft order changing if an entire year is lost. Thus, the 2012 draft would have the same draft order as 2011 if a strike canceled out 2011 and then 2012 returned as per usual. -

"Part of me wanted to do it," Schobel said. "It wasn't meant to be. We couldn't agree on terms. They saw me for what I am today and not for what I can be. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5581180 As the NFL continues to show signs of having trouble marketing itself, the prospect of a team moving from an established fanbase diminishes. Note in the article how the Oakland Raiders' home opener against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday will be blacked out too. California is not showing stellar interest in NFL game attendance that's for sure. I am sure, a 2011 Lockout will help matters

The update is that Grant is gone for the year. Three MAJOR concerns about new policies at The Ralph
richNjoisy replied to Flutie Flakes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I, too, spoke with Kenny on Sunday - at that time he said he would be moving to the RV Lot but it sounds like he is considering other options. I thought hammer's would be great but I suppose Kenny's concerns are valid. I don't know - it angers me with all the new gestapo-like tactics going on and accelerating. Tailgating is a huge part of the experience and the Bills are playing with fire if they mess around with it like they are doing. I understand the Bills concerns when it comes to drunken driving after the game but the Tailgating prior to the game - with the exception, I suppose of the risk of fires, is not much of a risk IMO and Kenny's is a Landmark Tradition. Screwing with that is just plain stupid. I can't imagine a Jimbo-owned team messing with this. Perhaps I am wrong though. It sounded to me like the Bills are planning on assigned spaces next year. No first come first served?? What a nightmare. On another note - and there is a second thread discussing fan behavior already - I have been to a lot of Bills losses going back to the early 70's but I have never been so disappointed in fan behavior as I was last Sunday. I sit in section 311 - I get my season tickets through Hammer - until Hammer showed up I did not know ANYONE which means either the tickets were sold to others or the season tickets have changed hands. Fine but these newbies did not make hardly any noise. One guy actually told me to stop pounding on the seats because it was annoying his girlfriend. That is the closest I came to telling a fellow Bills fan to F-off ..... I was thinking, "Are you nuts! It's third down for the opponents. Take your girl to the f-ing movies...this is a Bills game!" Well, fine, I found other seats to pound on on the other side (behind my wife!). Meanwhile, to some of the "fans" they spoke like the game was over at halftime when it was 10-3. Try watching the Bills lose 20 in a row to the Fish. They woke up after the Parrish TD (big wow). I beseech all of you to make some noise and lots of it at the JETSsucksuckssucks game in three weeks. I won't be back until the following week (Jacksonville). Go Bills! -RichNJoisy -

Professional career Berger was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. However, he was signed to the practice squad and never played in a game for them. He was picked up by the Dolphins before the start of the 2005 NFL season, and played in three games. A sprained right foot suffered in training camp kept him inactive during the 2006 season, and he was eventually waived. Shortly after his release from the Dolphins in 2006, Berger was claimed by the Cowboys. A restricted free agent in the 2008 offseason, Berger signed his one-year tender offer from the Cowboys on April 17. After becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2009, Berger re-signed with the Miami Dolphins on February 27. He became the Dolphins starting center on September 9th, 2010 On Sunday, September 12th, Berger missed a block allowing Bills NT Kyle Williams in untouched to slam Dolphin QB Chad Henne from behind, sight unseen. Henne's funeral is scheduled for Thursday, September 16. in lieu of flowers, the Henne family requests donations be made to the recently formed "save the fish" society of Miami, Florida

SIDBUFF IS BACK & SIGNED IN (Missed all of U!!)
richNjoisy replied to sidbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey there bigger-than-Sid guy! NO! no more photo shoots! And, no, no website since with the 10 year playoff drought, CNJBBB membership has dropped. I no longer have a "website manager" so I let it go. Maybe if the Bills start a winning streak, things will pick up enough to warrant a return of the site. We would LOVE to see you at the Jacksonville game! Lot 1, just past the green dumpster, same row as Pinto Kenny. Lisa and I plan to show up this Sunday at around 9 am. I should have hot wings done by 9:45 or 10 am. But that is contingent on my "hardware provider" (Ron Stilwell) who is a member of the CNJBBB who moved to the promised land two years ago. He has his own cooker set and he brings it to games allowing more space for beer in my trunk for the return to 'joisy. ahhhhhh genny cream Go Bills! -RnJ
