  1. Yep - this was one of those "bad" announcer days. I was constantly yelling at them to "shut the F@&k up!" I was turning the mute on constantly which I hate to do

when watching a football game.....they were that bad IMO.

At one point, when Marrone challenged the spot of the ball, Gumbel was psychoanalyzing Marrone , " I wonder what the man is thinking? Perhaps he doesn't know that he will

have no more challenges? Why would anyone ever challenge a spot of the ball"?

I am used to broadcasters and color commentators not following a game too closely and following their "scripted" lines a lot but sometimes it's just too much. This was going to be a blow out and that's that. That was the script.

    sigh

  2. I don't think that's necessarily true. You can get a lot of pressure and knock Brady around without having a high sack total. Consistent pressure is going to be much more important than total number of sacks.

I don't disagree with that but the point of this thread was to ask what "stat" would be revealing. Since pressure is not USUALLY measured after a game is over, I chose sacks as the measure.

  3. The key is our pass rush and how often (if at all) we hit Golden Boy.

If Brady has time to throw, it doesn't matter if we have four Darelle Revis' out there.

Also, the Bills have to press them at the LOS else GB will simply "play catch" for 5 yard freebies.

Fortunately, Pettine knows all this. The Stache was clueless last year.

  4. 4 extra games of experience, however 4 extra games to get injured in for the offense.

Stop. Just stop for a moment and think about the specific situation. This is a team with a lot of rookies most notably at Quarterback. Even the best athletes in this sport have to learn

the pro game by doing it. Together. As a team. The best experience comes from actual game play. Injuries occur all the time. This is a violent sport. But they happen in practice not just in games and scrimmages. They happen walking to the field next door (see Kolb). What's truly important is not to avoid injuries at all costs. It's to prepare the team for "battle" (as Marrone put it so eloquently when discussing the home opener with a fan a few weeks ago). Last Sunday's game made the Bills better due to repetitive practice against an opponent trying to stop them.

I say, way to go boys! Now, get out there and do it again. And again. And again. And..... :D

  5. Preface: I'm not a cop.

I'm fairly sure Murder 1 is premeditated, as in planned in advance. Murder 2 is spur of the moment rage. Both, as a rule. They may charge Murder 2 and up it to 1 with further investigation, but they usually don't immediately charge 1 unless it's obvious, like a 'hit'.

Just my understanding of the process.

Yes, my "expertise" comes from cop/law shows but , having said that (ha!), "premeditated" is subjective but only to a point. My example of this would be when one puts a gun to someone's head close enough to leave powder burns (I have no evidence that this is the case except a report that it was "execution style"), then a prosecutor could then say the act was premeditated (I mean, what does the gunman expect will happen when he pulls the trigger on a gun at that range (aka zero inches))?

Still - I believe you are correct that murder 1 is premeditated.
