  1. I don't - with DeSean only being 28 yrs old and having drafted two WR's last year, I think it forces a lean towards a situation where best player available at picks one and two lean towards OL, LB, and possibly TE. So, IMO, the chances of drafting the topTE (Ebron) goes up with a signing of DeSean. Still, having said that, I see the Bills drafting Mathews or Lewan at pick 1 or Mosely/Barr instead of Evans. Unless they are really high on Evans (hedge hedge). This all assumes that Mack and Watkins are gone of course (which I expect).
  2. They certainly do not need to move up to #1 for Evans. Only Clowney makes sense (but it really doesn;t given the apparent cost to move up from 9 to 1). Robinson might go 1 but the draft (apparently) is very deep at tackle. Again, not worth the move. I doubt there is any meat to this rumor.
  3. This only makes sense if the Bills can move up without losing next year's 1st round pick AND to select Clowney.
  4. I totally agree PTR. I have season tickets and I still live in NJ. But, it would be nice, ahem, for there to be some meaningful games in December. For people like me, it is not the price of the tickets that has kept me from driving in but the quality of the product. So , I buy the tickets and hope I will make the drive and the key issue will be bad weather on the drive and not a guaranteed loss and a sad drive home. Funny, after a win, those 420 miles go by quick. RnJ
  5. The one solid thing out of the last 24 hours is that the Bills may be sold or not in the next 6 years BUT no one will move them until year 7 at the earliest. Prior to year 7, we will know a lot more than we know now (who owns the team, threat(s) made (or not) about moving the team "unless", etc). If the Bills can actually become competitive meanwhile, WE THE FANS, will have a say by routinely selling out The Ralph. -RnJ
  6. Thanks for the report on this. Man, it has been a tough few days for Buffalonians. Prayers for the hands of the doctor(s).
  7. Yes yes, I hear the argument but idiot drunks will find a "weapon" if they are determined. This "threat" does not justify using this as an excuse to save money (using 'boneless wings" which is the accepted term for processed chicken) instead of the wing of the chicken whom God made perfectly for the Buffalo Chicken Wing. Frankly (no pun intended), I am appalled and disappointed more of you on this site are not outraged that the Buffalo icon which is the Buffalo Chicken Wing is be sold McNugget-style at the Home of the Buffalo Bills. BLASPHEMY!!!
  8. Booooo! They aren't Buffalo wings if they are boneless. Shame on Duff's for agreeing to this blasphemy
  9. here you go: http://www.thehuddlereport.com/scoring/mockdrafts.shtml
  10. Wow. $20 million guaranteed for a 32 year DE with LOTS of mileage on the tires. It is funny how often this fails - that is - build the "Dream team". latest DT's? : Philadelphia, Washington for sure......maybe Tampa...can people think of others? Denver will definitely be the favored AFC team to make the Bowl this year. But they are old , old, old. Injuries could destroy them and quickly. We shall see.
  11. I, too, saw the ratings from PFF (note, they sure had a LOT of low ratings overall for guards) But i am certainly no expert on Guard play and only have a strong opinion when I have watched them play A LOT. Having said that, yes - they are paying him starting money (average of $3.4 mil per year but it is probably backloaded a bit). Levitre signed a contract with an average pay of $7.8 mil. I will continue to contend that is ridiculous for a GUARD. For a tackle? No. is Levitre better than Williams - c'mon everyone says he is but the Bills are a team and they have a cap so how good does a guard have to be and how much should the Bills spend? It seems to be that 1.) Williams is very likely a big step up from Legursky et al 2.) $3.4 is a reasonable number for the position and the EXPECTED level of play. To the poster asking, "could the Bills still draft an OT in round 1? Hell yes if Robinson or Matthews fall to 9. Hell yes. I expect a WR or LB however (due to who will be there at 9 and need). -RnJ
  12. Why Oher? Oher currently ranks 68th out of 76 qualified tackles, according to ProFootballFocus.com.
  13. My take on this, GunnerBill, is that the QB's will go high perhaps as high as #1 (Houston) but Clowney is the clear #1 and SHOULD go then but QB's are THE player every team needs. My expectation is three go before the Bills pick at pick 9 and it is possible 4 will go. 4 would be "dreamy" because (why does this always seem to be the case?) THE player I'd like to fall to us always seems to get grabbed right before us (see Luke Keuchly...argh!) Players that should go before Bills pick: Clowney, Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel, Robinson, Matthews, Mack, Watkins. If a 4th QB goes before us, then one of the top 2 OT's, Top WR or Top LB falls to us. Dreamy. But , if no 4th QB, Bills select from Mosely, Evans, Lewan and Barr. Not too shabby.
  14. I just don't get it. If Byrd (supposedly) is worth $10 mil a year for three years, why would the Bills think he is not worth $8.2 mil for one year? is the hold out "'cuz I got a hurt foot" thing really such a threat to the Bills that they can let him go for nothing? Plus, encourage this type of behavior from future players? Doesn't this completely take out all the power of franchise tagging? I just don't get it. sigh
  15. I agree, he plays dirty and is a doosh. What if we sign him and he injures Tom Brady? Deliberately? He'd then get a 15 yard penalty! wait a minute.........
  16. just hope he did not aggravate his plantar fasciitus
  17. sorry if this was already posted: https://www.facebook.com/groups/137093653060872/permalink/403848346385400/ LOL
  18. I agree! Don't know about LaFontaine as GM but I thought Nolan was a great coach. Never understood him being fired
  19. I only wish this meant the game was "too good" to have DierDork and Gumbel call the game. The only thing worse would be McCarver, DoerDork, and Gumbel.
  20. Yep - this was one of those "bad" announcer days. I was constantly yelling at them to "shut the F@&k up!" I was turning the mute on constantly which I hate to do when watching a football game.....they were that bad IMO. At one point, when Marrone challenged the spot of the ball, Gumbel was psychoanalyzing Marrone , " I wonder what the man is thinking? Perhaps he doesn't know that he will have no more challenges? Why would anyone ever challenge a spot of the ball"? I am used to broadcasters and color commentators not following a game too closely and following their "scripted" lines a lot but sometimes it's just too much. This was going to be a blow out and that's that. That was the script. sigh
  21. I was there in section 225. FANTASTIC!
  22. .......meanwhile, the sound of crickets continues to follow Jairus Byrd.
  23. I don't disagree with that but the point of this thread was to ask what "stat" would be revealing. Since pressure is not USUALLY measured after a game is over, I chose sacks as the measure.
  24. Sacks. If Bills have 5 sacks or more, we will win. 3-4 sacks will mean a close game. < 3 sacks = big loss. The obvious reason I say this is that sacks = pressure. Brady has to be pressured else he will eat you alive.
