  1. I think it all comes down to pass blocking and how chan can get him the ball. If he can improve and no longer be a liability, the game changing plays will happen. It's just all about percentages and opportunities. Here are some numbers for the top 10 guys in the league last season as far as the number of 20+ runs go: Player | Attempts | 20+ runs | % of 20+ runs Darren McFadden | 223 | 14 | 6.278026906 Ahmad Bradshaw | 276 | 13 | 4.710144928 Chris Johnson | 316 | 13 | 4.113924051 Arian Foster | 327 | 12 | 3.669724771 Rashard Mendenhall | 324 | 11 | 3.395061728 LeGarrette Blount | 201 | 10 | 4.975124378 Jamaal Charles | 230 | 10 | 4.347826087 Brandon Jacobs | 147 | 10 | 6.802721088 Matt Forte | 237 | 9 | 3.797468354 Adrian Peterson | 283 | 9 | 3.180212014 Now spllier's: CJ Spiller | 74 | 1 | 1.351351351 He only had 1 run of 20+... but he did have 2 other runs of 19 yds. Add that and his percentage becomes much more respectable at about 4%. CJ Spiller | 74 | 3 | 4.054054054 The point I'm trying to make is that if he gets opportunities the big plays will come. They happen about every 5% of the time for the top guys so it is a small percentage of the time. Now let's just hope he learns how to block and/or chan can give him more...
  2. Best is averaging 3.3 ypc... http://www.nfl.com/players/jahvidbest/gamelogs?id=BES682260 and gets an average of 12 attempts per game (compared to spiller's 5)...
  3. If you take out the first game of the season against Miami, he's got 4.7 ypc and long runs of 15+ in 5 out of the 9 games all with 7 or less rushes a game (this includes the GB game where he got a single rush). He also has a kick return for a TD; doesn't seem too terrible to me. He's on a bad team, and we need to be patient. There are glimpses of good shtuff here. SPILLER 4 PRESIDENT
