The Hidden Reason For The Lost Decade
Homey D. Clown replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it hasn't been said, I'll say it: Ralph is cheap. There is no other reason this franchise has been a less than 41% winning team. The Polian/Butler era was an anomaly, your theory seems to only be focused on the last ten years, which leaves out approximately 30 more years of pure suckitude. While I don't discount the facts, it simply doesn't apply to this franchise. It's like saying "It rains a lot in Seattle because people there are sad" We suck simply because the owner chooses not to spend money on players and coaches, enough with the excuses already. -
A shakeup with this organization is like the game of boggle, the same 16 people bounced around doing different things. The only thing it ends up spelling is "losing" in a different way.

bills and bengals contrast
Homey D. Clown replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a repeat thread posted about one year ago about how amazing the Kansas City Chiefs being built from the ground up and dedicated to winning. I agree with one thing though that remains a constant, if you run an organization without the intent to be a championship team, but rather just to keep it entertaining enough to be profitable, then this is what you get. I guess I'll call it the "Low Risk, High Hopes" method of running a franchise. -
49ers defense OR Packers offense
Homey D. Clown replied to maddenboy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade defenses, but cut Donte Whitner, I watched that game very intently on defense to see if he looked any different on a good defense. He did not. He was very good at not being around the ball and putting hard hits on receivers downfield, and tackling well after a long gain. It has been said that since we let him go, he has become a great player, and that the Bills just can't coach players, I respectfully disagree with that notion. -
Who's the better RB? Fred or CJ?
Homey D. Clown replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this 100%, except the only people labeling him a bust are members of this community. This is the only place you can get zero playing time and limited opportunities as a player and get the bust label. Pure nonsense. I do love Freddie, and I hope the team can keep them both here long term. -
Please sell the team Ralph
Homey D. Clown replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all a Master plan by the NFL to make us so sick of this team that we beg them to move LA, where they can all so the back stroke from the money that market will bring. Ever see Major League? does this in any way feel any different? I'd almost be willing to bet they drive to all their games in a bus from 1963 these days. -
Ralph is cheap. I completely agree with you that he runs the team as a low risk, low reward profit only organization. Sadly though, when he goes, so does the team.

And now what do you think
Homey D. Clown replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This can't be serious. -
It doesn't matter how well CJ performs for this team, there are waaaay too many people just wanting the kid to be a bust around here. I am not one of them. The argument is that he was a luxury pick, which I still find laughable, since we have SO MANY play makers and depth on this team. He can be an every down back, but for some reason people love to make blind assumptions that he can't be. Look at his physical stats, he's bigger and taller than Reggie Bush, He's taller than Thurman was, and weighs within 6lbs of the guy, but yeah, he can't play every down. Give me a break. He and Freddie are the 2 most talented guys on the team, and past Steve Johnson, there is nothing. I hope he stays a Bill, because if the front office runs this guy out of town, you can expect the franchise to unravel exponentially.

Enough about the state of the bills
Homey D. Clown replied to GOBILLS!!!!!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone with a shred of common sense should know that it's not the area that can't support the team, it's the miserly owner who cries poverty year in and year out, but happens to be one of the wealthiest owners in the NFL. Geographically speaking, the area has plenty of corporate support, but this franchise is run like a profit business only on the low/risk, low reward business model, so you get the garbage you see now. It has nothing to do with Western NY. The Polian era was a fluke. If the man needed the income bad enough, he would have sold the naming rights to the stadium, which by the way has had plenty of opportunity to do so, but if that were accomplished, then old Ralphie-poo would not get as much state assisted funding to improve the facility, or nearly as much profit shared from the larger market teams. Try to rationalize any other reason. -
If not for 2 improbable comeback games this year, the team is actually worse than it was last year.
-
Ralph Wilson isn't even buying green bananas anymore, so take that as a sign that this is the last front office/coaching change you will see until the ownership changes. Like it or not, this is the team you get to watch until then.

Go back and watch those games, Edwards was NOT having a great season, enough with this ridiculous myth already. It's hilarious how revisionist history makes things out to be something more than it was. He did not suddenly start checking the ball down after that hit, he was doing it already. Nothing personal mr fong.

He's gotten to start a few games, and he's a shiny new toy that "appears" to have earned his way onto the starting roster, so, just like Moats, he seems to be good.... for now. But the reality is that the team has no other options at this point, so take it for what it's worth.

Is Ralph or other people in the Bills FO racist?
Homey D. Clown replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Racism, no, that's not even a stretch on any level, but...."Is this team's front office Ragingly Blind_BatSHIT_Stupid, out of touch, idiotic and completely lacking anything close to knowledge of how to run an NFL team....." If you change your question to that.... then yes. -
For me personally, I found this news to be very good for the team, as I have been very high on him as a player, even though I haven't seen much since he had been drafted. He has been cleared to resume his NFL career, and I am very happy to hear that, but even more importantly, that he is healthy. You just can't put a price on life, and it's nice to have some good news come out of OBD once in a while. Link to Story

Prepare ye selves, fans of Buffalo
Homey D. Clown replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A comeback won't be necessary... have you seen the garbage we call a defense? The score will be 38-17 or something like that. -
im not trying to decorate a turd
Homey D. Clown replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just because some of those rookies had playing time didn't make them really good, Dareus has been underwhelming at times, great looking at others, Hairston has been a pleasant surprise, the others mentioned simply got a chance to play. Given the inevitable 5-11 record this team seems to be steamrolling towards, I don't share your optimism. To me, the turd has not quite been polished yet. -
Latest SI QB rankings out. Fitz smack dab
Homey D. Clown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given the fact the receiving corps have been decimated by injury, and a complete lack of defense, putting the offense in constant "Must Score", pass happy mode, I am not surprised he is ranked in the middle, but I do think just a little better defensive play, allowing a more balanced attack alone would have allowed Fitzpatrick to be a more efficient passer. -
If the Injury Bug hadn't bit
Homey D. Clown replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ahh I knew the merriman bashers would have to take a jab at that one.... even when asked to keep responses to the question asked and what the thread was intended to discuss, you still can't handle that.... was it really that hard? Did I have to not mention any names in order to keep the thread on task? Did I really need to dumb it down that far to keep the likes of these remarks out? Geez!! There is literally a banquet of other threads for you to bash these players in, I just don't get why you found it necessary to do it here. Good grief! -
No he is not an elite QB, but he is very good at times. Inconsistency, and not posting a winning season or a few games where he completely controlled the outcome are what he has yet to do.

The 90's Bills proved that weak defense can't win superbowls, and the same can be said about the Colts. This team could be heading towards the playoff right now if the defense could have stopped a few of the opposing team's drives. The Bills have allowed 14 drives for touchdowns over the last string of losses, and have lost 3 actual games where they gave up the lead going into the last few minutes of those games. So I disagree with the point of your thread, but the team does need more depth on offense, but watch out what you ask for around these parts... you see, we drafted a play maker in the 2010 draft, and people around here hate that idea. Brace yourself, the sharks on this board smell blood in the water with this one....
