  1. It is officially snowing in hell..... Apparently Ralph is no longer cheap. Huh.... never saw this day coming
  2. This team player very well this past year when they were healthy, and started to show signs of life despite a weak defense, and the rest of the league, especially teams that the Bills beat know this team isn't as bad as it's record, so I'm not convinced players will hold out for flashier teams, looking at our roster, there's a lot to like right now. I really think this team is depth and a few key players away from really doing some damage next year.
  3. I made a comment in a vincent jackson thread tearly on hat I thought the Bills would be better off with Manningham, I think the guy is vastly under-rated.
  4. Until people spend time in Western New York and see what the area has to offer, and the wealth of state parks in New York all within a short drive, and not to mention what Canada has to offer, there will always be a negative image of the city and the area due to the massive industrial and shipping exodus and the weather during the winter. I would move home in 2 seconds flat if the job market was stronger, I miss calling Buffalo home, but when players don't want to come to Buffalo I wonder how much of it is due to how the franchise is run rather than the area its-self? Who wants to sign onto a team that has historically been very stingy with the money, and has seen talent vacate year in and year out? If anything that is the real deterrent.
  5. I am very optimistic about Easley being a very good receiver, and there's no reason to label a guy injury prone when a health issue kept him out of football. This year has to be the year he plays and shows everyone what he is made of however.
  6. Mark my words, the team will sign some free agents, but do not expect them to be anybody anyone else would pick up first. This team has been and always will be stuck in neutral until ownership decides it's OK to spend to win. Thinking, wishing and hoping this will change is pointless. I watch the team and will enjoy them while they are still the Bills, but I don't expect much until ownership changes, or lightning strikes the current owner, scrambling his way of running this team and decides to open the team up to it's paid managers.
  7. we will surely miss him on our injured reserve list. Just having him there made us a better team.
  8. I do not want a player of his salary demands that seems to be on the decline. He is 32 years old, and may be an upgrade in the short term, but how many years does he have left against what the team could get with a younger free agent, or even drafted young talent? Big names don't always mean big results, sometimes teams actually let these guys go for a reason.
  9. I wonder which of the 30 other teams he will end up with......
  10. whatever takes the attention off of his team's cheating ways he'll be sure to engage in. it's very transparent, and I hope it does the exact opposite.
  11. who cares about a 2nd rate running back anyway. He's not a game changer, never will be, and I could care less what he likes to eat. I was not sad to see him go, I don't have anything against him as a person, but i am glad he's someone else's over-rated problem now.
  12. we are one of the top teams that spend under the cap(see cash to cap stat line) the question is not whether or now we will have the cash, Ralphie-Poo has the cash, it's whether or not he will allow his front office the freedom to spend it. the answer is no. Why? Ralph is Cheap.
  13. yep.... wannstedt can turn him into a pro bowler...
  14. every skill position is a huge need, and I personally felt a potential elite RB was as big a need as any the team had that draft day. Lynch and an unproven Jackson was not an elite option at the time. If this kid plays like I think he will, then this will no longer be an issue. He'd be starting almost anywhere else in the league from day 1, and this board would point out how the Bills missed on him. Sometimes you can't win for losing around here. I have been and will remain very happy he is a Buffalo Bill. Forget the argument that the team had bigger holes to fill elsewhere, because when you're perennially 5-11, 4-12, 6-10, 7-9 and you haven't had a running back on the roster to lead the league in any category other than fumbles since Thurman retired, I can't see how the team could have picked anyone else that day.
  15. If Stevie can get his antics under control, he can easily surpass Buffalo's greatest receiver in history in Andre Reed from a stats perspective. If he gets his drops under control, he may even finish his career as an elite level player. He is not the big game receiver Andre was, but he is not the same style player either, but I want him here long term, and if the team would play with a lead once in a while, a few drops aren't even an issue. Sign the guy, enough of the tight pocketed BS already.
  16. too soon.... you have to wait at least 20 responses before changing the subject by trying to take a useless jab at merriman.
  17. are we starting this crap already? Can't Bills fans just not post these threads when the guy clearly has nothing left in the tank? If these players couldn't contribute very much on the teams they came from why on earth would anyone think they would here? If you look at the trend of teams that have won the super bowl in the last decade or 2, how many of those teams had any washed up(released, not traded) players at any of the skill positions on their teams? the answer you're looking for would be 0. Ask yourself that question before posting threads like this and you'll have your answer. It's not coincidence the answer to the above question is 0 either.
  18. I think I'd rather see the Bills make a play for Mario Manningham, he has more years left in him and really underutilized in NY, plus he's drawing far less attention right now. Now if we did land VJ, I wouldn't be crying about it.
  19. injuries played a major factor in this team missing the playoffs last year, and firing coaches and GMs won't do this franchise any good, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did let some coaches go, which is probably the dumbest thing this team could do. The team's primary focus should be building depth, stopping the run through a solid game plan, and strength and conditioning, but hey, what do I know.
  20. Given how well fitzpatrick was able to find our tight end, a good one, but not exactly as talented as Gronkowski, I don't think I agree with this one. 17 TDs? not exactly, you have to be in position to score that many TDs in a season, but our offense was very effecient at times, and having Gronkowski with Chandler on the field would have definitely made a difference, and I'd go so far to say he'd probable have pulled in 10-12 TDs.
  21. i don't care much for the pats, but it's hard to even make the spygate comment anything more than a thin coincidence that they have lost superbowls post spygate. They didn't blow anybody out when they won, and they lost the last 2 on miracle catches, hardly concrete evidence that spygate had any affect on this team. The fact that they have been near the top of the league every year since the stupid spygate story broke should tell you it really has zero affect on how well the team plays. They made 2 superbowls and have won their division nearly every year since then, ohh yeah, spygate has exposed them as cheaters, and now they can't win. Come on, what a joke. Now I said I don't care much for the pats, and the reality is that I really hate the team, but it's just foolish to think this is anything more than a stupid side story. If it were the Bill being accused, this place would explode mushroom cloud style.
  22. Music City Mistake, absolutely no contest, everything else is an argument for 2nd worst.
  23. I'm not going to criticize this level of optimism one bit, my Dad and I actually sat there watching this game thinking how the Bills played both of these teams, and that they really were the better team, or at least as talented. It made me feel good to know that the Bills are some depth and a stronger defensive scheme away from really being very good next year. Just think of all the players on this team on IR that are truly very talented that couldn't help the Bills this year, it does present a very strong argument that this team is far better than their final record indicated.
  24. If you truly believe this you're completely delusional. Ignoring the fact this team has no real succession of ownership in place that has openly supported keeping the team in Buffalo won't change the fact that this franchise would be literally the easiest to relocate given the current stadium lease situation and the state of it's owner.
