  1. Shawn Merriman had 17 tackles and 1 sack against a good Jets offensive line in week 17, why not just use him?
  2. Why do people have to take things to such extremes?
  3. The object of this exercise it to pick 2 GOOD players.
  4. Wow. How stupid would that be? trade away your most electrifying offensive weapon, maybe you can go get a job working for the patriots front office, I'd pay actual money to see you crumble that dynasty.
  5. i HOPE IT'S A RIVER OF ****...
  6. Patrick Willis and Larry Fitzgerald. If I could whittle out a 3rd, then Clay Mathews. CHAMPIONSHIP!!
  7. You should ask Stevie Wonder the same question, it doesn't seen too odd to me.
  8. Until these players execute a game plan on both sides of the ball, this team will always flounder, no matter who is coaching, but it did become very clear that Wannstedt's defensive game plans were the bigger issue this year. For once, I'd like to see a young, hard nosed agressive coach get hired as DC of this team, and I could care less right now who they hire. Love the OC hire, it's starting to look like Nassib will be a Bill, and I am all for that.
  9. This should be an automated response for all future Fitzpatrick questions.
  10. Happy birthday Chan, I wish you well in your future coaching endeavors!
  11. I would not be opposed to the drafting of Ryan Nassib
  12. Make sure to ask him about his diabolical plot to send close to half the home games over to Toronto by 2016...
  13. If this team's offense takes a huge nose dive next year, this board will be wishing Chan Gailey's offense was still in place. Like it or not, this team was far more productive on the offensive side of the ball with him as coach. We'll never know what that offense could have been capable of when playing with a lead, or in a dominating game, since there weren't any in his regime.(no I do not count the KC games, they are the exception)
  14. Agreed, I do not miss his 5 - 10 yard downfield tackling skills one bit.
  15. I think for our team's success I may be over-emphasizing the QB spot more than necessary due to it really looking like this logic applies very specifically to the Bills, and there's no doubt the Bills were outcoached in the first 2 superbowls for sure, so point well made...
  16. I agree with these, and I'm also not sure I'd want Chip Kelly either, that just reeks of college coach failure, and I just don't see what all the hype is about with him.
  17. Guess I must be racist to think the Bills shouldn't pick up a crappy QB to lead this team, and since he hasn't won anything, isn't able to read a defense, complete a well timed pass, or even finish a season, and I have the intelligence to see that, I must be a racist. OR, you are simply ignorant of the facts. Nobody around here cares about his skin colour, but you're just not smart enough to seperate that from the discussion, so I'd say that makes you a racist then huh?
  18. You must play John Madden football to think Michael Vick is a good QB, there is absolutely no factual evidence on any game film to suggest otherwise. The mind numbing man-love for micheal vick is utterly incomprehensible.
  19. Competent is about all that is really needed here... I'll add Mike holmgren to the mix, he got progressively worse as his QBs talent diminished, Tom Landry was no longer considerd successful after he no longer had a QB, Chuck Knoll also vanished into obscurity, George Siefert also fell off the face of the earth post-SanFran, along with Mike Ditka, and the list goes on and on. To prove my point, take a look at the "Bus Driver" head coach in Indianapolis for Manning's last year there, they made the playoffs, and that guy barely brought the doughnuts to team meetings. Yes, I know not just anyone can be hired to coach this team, but seriously, solid defense and a really good QB are way more important. I think it would be hard to argue against the logic that Dick Jauron would still be here if JP Losman were the 2nd coming of Brett Favre. Those teams lost 3-4 games per season simply due to Losman being a turnover machine. Take a really good look at Chan Gailey's 3 seasons, and you'd find it very easy to make a case that if the Bills had a better QB, and MARGINALLY better defense, the guy would still be holding the clipboard at 1 bills drive, plain and simple. Simply put, it takes more than a shouty guy with a mean looking chin, or a goofy horror-doll look-a-like to win games. I however would not advocate the hiring of Dick Jauron again, I'm merely stating that way too much emphasis is put on hiring the right coach, and too much of the team's success given to him as well. Do you really think Bill Bellichick would have won more than 6 games with Ryan Fitzpatrick? do you really think any QB on this team could have yielded more success if he were coaching? I don't.
  20. If this team does not field an upper tier QB, it really doesn't matter who they hire as head coach. Chan Gailey would still be here if Fitzpatrick could have performed like he did in the beginning of 2011. Gailey's system wasn't really all that flawed, his QB just quit performing. Marv Levy doesn't have the coaching career without Jim Kelly, and Bellicheat doesn't look like a coaching genius without Tom Brady. Need another one? Mike Shannahan was starting to look like a tired old retread until he got his hands on RG3. It REALLY doesn't matter who they hire, this team needs a QB first.
  21. He also never said WHERE this new fictional stadium is likely to be built. My guess it's in LA, since I don't trust Russ Brandon one bit.
