Russ Brandon. I am disgusted by this man. despite the Bills ranking in the top 10 most profitable teams in the NFL he has a large portion of people around here thinking the team is poor and needs to give away games to another city. They say that the best trick the devil ever pulled off was in convincing people he didn't exist.

Last year everyone(media experts and the like) said the QB class was very weak past Andrew Luck, then later they added in RG3 as the pre-qualifiers, stating that this year's draft class would be much stronger with Matt Barkley leading the charge. This media disclaimer is repeated by media lackeys every year. The point I am trying to make here is that next year's QB class will be no better than this year's class, with the exception of 1 or 2 guys. There are always risks in drafting for this position no matter when a team pull the trigger. Think of all the "can't miss" QBs of past draft classes. Andrew Luck could have blown chunks this year, like Tim Couch, or Jarmarcus Russel(typing that name still makes me laugh), or jake Plummer, or Alex Smith for most of his career. There are no guarantees at this position, so with all that said, I think there are a few guys in this year's draft class, and definitely worth taking a shot on. I'd like to see them take a swing at 1 or even 2 for that matter. I think no matter what stance you take on the matter you're drinking the kool-Aid of sorts, and lately it seems the Bills seem to make the wrong choice. You can't fault the cynics for being burnt, and you can't blame to optimists for keeping the faith. It does nobody any good to bash either stance around here, it's just the nature of being a sports fan.

I would not be surprised in the least if the team tries to trade back to pick up Cordarelle Patterson and Ryan Nassib for their first 2 picks.

I could never understand Why Gailey would not try to develop Easley. I still think this kid can play. I was very high on Stevie Johnson when people were holding out hope for James Hardy, and I was immediately on board with the CJ Spiller signing from the second he was picked. Easley was a 4th round pick, and really impressed when he was given the chance, albeit a very limited body of work to judge from. There is absolutely nothing to lose in letting the kid play now that neslon, Jones, and others are recently departed. Let's hope our new coach is more practical in letting guys play.

these are the kind of posts I enjoy reading... so to your point I think we still have a need, but I would say in depth, so we'll probably see this position addressed in later rounds of the draft.

The fact this is making NFL headlines says a lot about how far we as a nation haven't come on the acceptance of sexual orientation. sad really. But I don't even see why a player has to publicly declare his sexual orientation anyway, I think it's stupid to make a big deal of it in any career. Adversely, calling attention to your own sexuality seems to be a childish ploy to draw attention to yourself in my opinion. So your gay, whoop-de frickin do!

I for one would like to see a rookie QB, but not another JP Edwards experiment, but a Barkley or Nassib arrangement would really be good for this team. I don't think Matt Flynn can realistically be considered a vet anyway...at best he's done exactly as much as Rob Jiohnson did when we obtained that turnover machine.

I still say Aaron Maybin... he made a frickin' rap song before he ever took a snap in a Bills uniform.... how can this not qualify him as the biggest disappointment? THEN he went to the NJ Jest, where he said the coaching was infinitely better, then STILL produced nothing.... Maybin's gotta be top of any list where the combination of "Biggest" and either "bust", "disappointment", or "Douche Bag" is it's name...

I applaud those who see Stevie's dedication as positive, and I do too. I found it really hard to knock the guy when he became the first player in Bills history to record 3 consecutive 1000 yard seasons, sometimes it's mind numbing how much hatred is spewed around here. Here's to another great season Stevie!

Very well put, and I agree, but this is TSW, and people aren't happy unless they have someone to blame, no matter how much thought and logic you present.

With 7 home games and 9 away games and no real QB on the team yet, I'd be surprised if they play anything other than a sunday at 1pm game next year, with the exception of the idiotic toronto away game, which seems to be scheduled at 3:00.

with as little action in the FA period, I would bet my life there will be no draft pick trading done by the Bills this year, unless it's us trading away a player for some picks.

I am a fan of the team, if the team every leaves Buffalo, my interest in the NFL will cease. If I don't have a dog in the race, then who cares.

I really hope buddy doens't get 'er done on Urlacher. Maybe 5 years ago, but not now. It's time this team stops chasing ghosts.

to the OPs comments about Chan: I agree that at times Chan Gailey was a very good coach and playcaller, but I think his handling of CJ Spiller and the reluctance to play to your strengths, coupled with pinning his career on the arm of Fitzpatrick ultimately cost him his job. I was not all that relieved to see him fired for some reason this time, unlike when Dick Jauron was dismissed.

I really don't think there will ever be a new stadium built in WNY for the Bills, but if they ever did, I'd hope to god it wouldn't be in Niagara Falls. What a Waste that would be. This is the city of Buffalo's team, and should be used to improve the city that bears it's name, not an area with a natural resource as it's own draw. All around STUPID idea to build in Niagara Falls.
