  1. It's hard for me to be remotely excited about any player that was a part of our secondary last year, but Byrd was very solid none the less. Drafting players like we did this year is preparation for his departure, and that might not be the doom and gloom everyone else seems to think. If we get stronger at corner and at the LB level, along with a much better and more aggressive game plan, Byrd might not be the priority everyone seems to think.
  2. We should try him out as a tight end....
  3. To quote someone else around here: DOOMED!!!!
  4. He's fictional, created by some random troll.
  5. I'm not sure about the EJ Manuel pick just yet, but I'm not even close to ready to call him crappy. I'd say that about every QB this year. After watching all the footage on Nassib, Barkley, and smith, I came away feeling like Barkley was Trent Edwards 2.0, Nassib looked a bit like Drew Breese, and Smith looked confused most of the time, with his receivers usually so wide open, it was hard to tell if he was good, or they were just that wide open. so crappy is tough to say right now, and the O-line wasn't terrible either...
  6. It's easy to see what the late Bill Walsh saw in him, very impressive stats through his high school years. So sad that he had to be drafted by the Bills with all those miserable coaching staff members around him.
  7. LOL... I totally agree with you these days about Cutler, I had no idea of his colossal douche-bag untapped potential back in 2006, but man did he develop nicely into the #1 DoucheBag in the league lol.... As far as my opinion on Patterson, I know he is a huge risk, but the kid just got better each week, and I really see him becoming a serious weapon...
  8. I just finished watching even more game film on him, and there's no doubt in my mind he will be a very good QB in the NFL. Previously, I was pulling for Cordarelle Patterson at #8, then Nassib at #41, but there's no way this kid is still on the board if we pass on him. I was ecstatic when the Bills picked Spiller, and I'd be just as excited if they pick Nassib at #8. There are no guarantees he'll be the next Jim Kelly, but he is the first guy in the draft I thought we had a shot at since we passed on Jay Cutler in 2006. It's time to get the guy the coaches can have faith in and start winning some games. I'd also be ok if we drafted Matt Barkley, or Landry JOnes, but I am really hoping we pick up Nassib. I did not even have a clue of his talents prior to Marrone being hired, but I know who he is now...
  9. I agree with this one too, it's more about the speed of the game that I think will cause him problems magnifying the issues you mentioned above.
  10. I was not initially thinking Nassib was a good idea because I didn't know enough about him, and I didn't want to see the team draft the new coaching staff's guy just because they coached him at syracuse. I didn't want to see a repeat of Jimmy Johnson and his wasted pick of steve walsh in Dallas, but I have really been digging up anything I can find on film of him and Barkley, and I think Nassib may just very well be the real deal, big time. Barkley is a quality QB, and a year ago everyone wanted to "Blow for Barkley" if I remember correctly. I don't think the Bills would be making a mistake by picking a QB at #8 if it's either of these 2 guys in any way, but to waste the pick on Geno Smith, or an iffy WR or an interior lineman just doesn't make much sense to me. I'd like to see them take the guy they want, and this team needs this year at #8, rather than a BPA type of selection.
  11. respect in this league is earned, and aside from a handful of exciting plays from CJ and Freddie, this team has had vast stretches of suck-itude. Aside from an obvious hatred of the Bills from this ass-hat writing staff, they aren't wrong, but it is very easy to pick a lot of other games to "snooze" on.
  12. If I remember correctly, everyone around here wanted to "Blow for Barkley". Now he's not even mentioned as one of the top 2 QBs in the draft.
  13. that was a great season to watch the Bills, the 8-1 finish to the season was one of the franchises' great runs.
  14. Warren Sapp doesn't surprise me in the least. He seems like a brainless idiot, and to this day I am still shocked he is considered an NFL analyst.
  15. Maybe they could get Russ Brandon to shank the school's fans out of one home game a year to Hamilton and call it a "home Game".... he is sooo good at convincing people it is the only way the program could be viable....
  16. We should trade Torrel Troup for a 1st rounder too.....
  17. I submit Nuu Faaola
  18. the short answer is no way in hell. He is a contract nightmare, and is still recovering from a major knee injury, which nobody knows what he'll be like once healed. Trading away picks for an iffy player would not be smart, especially not the team's #1 pick. pass.
  19. I seem to remember that when Gailey arrived, he was all about results or you'll be replaced, cutting some dead wood like Lee Evans and a few other fan favorites. The man was a good coach that pinned his career to the vest of a backup QB. what other QB option did he have? I was tired of the general mishandling of players, and his stubbornness to play a game plan not suited to his team's strengths, but he was a realist about what he said in the media, and I liked him for that. I hope coach Marrone is the real deal, but I also think Gailey was too, he just had a miserable defense, and a reluctance to adjust, and that cost him his job.
  20. Revis has yet to show he's fully recovered from a season ending knee injury, and at his position, that's a huge risk. I'd pass completely on him and make Byrd's contract a #1 priority.
  21. I am 100% with you on Patterson, I think he is a little risky, but not enough to worry about. We'll watch this kid light it up for the next 10 years for someone else if we don't pick him.
  22. I had the Bills logo imprinted into my wedding cake, or Bachelor's cake if anyone is familiar with that. Everyone loved the way that cake turned out...
  23. On tape he reminds me of the RAC abilities of our very own Andre Reed displayed for more than a decade. I'd take him in a heartbeat. I'd also like to see Marcus Easley get a fair shot at the lineup too.
  24. I want Cordarelle Patterson at all costs, then the next best QB not named Geno Smith. I'd honestly be really happy with Ryan Nassib in Rd2 if he's still there. If not ILB in Rd's 2-4.
