  1. It was an ugly win with most fans around here really wanting to see this team outright win a game once in a while, reactions are appropriate for a game that really didn't go well for them for a large portion of it. I'm happy we won, but I would love to see this team dominate someone other than a bottom feeder before I go waving my "we're #1" foam finger.
  2. If you watch him throughout the game, Mario commanded so much of the offensive line's attention that it allowed other players to make plays. He and Freddie were the main reasons this team won, and an honorable mention to Stevie Johnson for some really sharp catches. Would I love to have signed Mario for a little less money, sure, who wouldn't, but the guy is definitely earning his pay this year, and the bashing at this point just seems pedantic.
  3. He's no better than a fully rested Taster's Choice right now, so I would love to see him heal up.
  4. It doesn't matter how many he wins, but if he begins playing like a pro Bowler, they will have to consider keeping him in. There's no way a head coach pulls a hot hand unless he's a complete jauron.
  5. and it KILLS me that we HAVE to play a stupid game in toronto... I will never buy Russ Brandon's bull ****
  6. You Sir, are my hero, and I base this strictly on your avatar alone, and your post wasn't bad either. I look at the toronto game as an embarrassment to the team, the city of buffalo, and see it as a curse to the team. It's an abomination, and needs to end. Cheers to all you Canadian fans who embrace our little tradition and feel the same way.
  7. I would take one Freddie Jackson over 2 Marshawn Lynches any day of the week. The guy has a good game every now and then and this place gets it's panties all bunched up. I don't think for one second that the trade was bad, they guy was a cancer for the team, didn't want to play here, and at the time 1 strike away from a season long suspension. Seattle can keep him, I like our guys infinitely better. Just listen to the way Spiller and Freddie carry themselves in the media, they are true professionals, while "least Mode" can barely conjugate a verb. In case anyone is interested in some real stats, Fred Jackson has a higher YPC average for his career. This trade was a no brainer, if the Bills had even a decent QB since the trade, We're talking about Freddie as a potential league MVP in one or 2 of those seasons. In this case, I see no reason to look in the rear view mirror on this guy, he's become a capable back for another team, so frickin what. We have 2 better ones instead.
  8. Numbers are numbers, and true to form, they don't lie. Facts can be presented to make a case either way about the run defense, but my good 'ol reliable "eyeball test" tells me the team looks pretty soft against the run for vast stretches of every game they have played this year. Until teams stop ripping off large chunks of yardage againt this defense, it will continue to look weak against the run no matter what charts we view to make a point.
  9. yeah, this team will be lucky to get to 7-9. If they don't figure out a way to stop runners, there will be very few wins this year no matter who is QB
  10. It's funny how dumping a no talent waste of space like "Dumb-te Whiffner" improves this category... I'd love to see how much San Fran improves if they benched him too.
  11. I am a staunch advocate for seeing Marcus Easley play more for this team, I'm not sure why he doesn't get more playing time either.
  12. or if you have a smartphone, use your web browser, go to wgr550.com and listen live that way. I listened to the carolina game that way. you have to have all the flashplayers on your phone, which I did, so it worked great.
  13. I don't understand all the doubt on EJ's abilities. The guy has literally just started his career in the NFL. I know it's been 13 years since the team has made the playoffs... we all know, but come on... let the kid play a little before we discredit him as the best option at QB.
  14. I may just put this in my signature... so funny
  15. What the kid would benefit most from would be an offensive line that could hold the pocket for more than 32 milliseconds... they look like **** this year.
  16. They actually raved about how fitz came in and brought the team back... all I saw were the crippling interceptions...
  17. Living here in Banjo land, I get to listen to sports talk every morning about teams I could care less about in all honesty, but it's better than nothing, so I tune in, really just to see what other sports radio shows sound like, compared to ours. So, short story long, the big topic as of late is how Chris Johnson has been struggling, and not able to break runs on the inside this year, and guess whose name came up in conversation? nope.... guess again... yes, they were talking about Andy Levitre, and they were not raving about the guy in any way. In fact, they feel like they may have overpaid for what is being perceived as middling talent. They were concerned about his run blocking mostly, and other names along the offensive line as well, it wasn't a Levitre bash fest, but I was surprised to hear that he wasn't the second coming of Jesus Christ in guard form. From all the comments around here, you's think we let the "all mighty" walk(on water to tennessee at that), and bashed the front office for doing so. Maybe.... Juuuuuust maybe.... our front office was very smart in not over paying for a guard, even if we didn't have a better alternative to replace him. sometimes you have to let a guy walk, especially one who isn't blowing it up on his new team. Take this for what it's worth, just thought it would be nice to show a different side to what was perceived as a mistake in not keeping a guy.
  18. Any chance Trent Edwards is still available?? Maybe a 2nd chance for JP Losman?? How about Leinart? No??? Maybe Chris Sims then... AWWW come on!!!! It's panic time in Bills country... I saw the ball boy throw a really nice spiral thursday night, I'll bet he's better than Tuel.... good grief!
  19. No. Not even worth discussing, EJ has made enough of an impression on me to believe that in 3 years, he will have had far more success than Smith. You can't judge a player by one game, and I still don't think Smith looks that great in this game. Let me see what EJ can do against a crappy defense, and then make the comparison.
  20. 13 years of empty promises doesn't exactly leave a lot in the optimism tank, so yeah.... what's not to get? This team needs to score points in order to win, and Jeff Tuel really needs to be more than just a space filler. It's incredible how bad this team looks without a quality QB. On the bright side though.... looks like EJ is winning over many of us, and when healthy, might very well be the franchise QB we've all been waiting for. Too bad this season is on the brink.
  21. 11.) Stevie Johnson, while very talented, seems to have become fragile, and maybe it's time to evaluate his effectiveness 12.) Jairus Byrd needs to be traded now, while other teams might pay for his services 13.) Fred Jackson can still ball with the best of them
  22. I definitely saw him looking beastly lately, and I love seeing him turn the corner. also worth mentioning is the play of Mario Williams, that man is a physical freak, there's no doubt he will be a major factor in this team's success now that Darius is commanding more attention from the O-line. If you take away the BS kick return and piss-poor secondary play, this would have been a very winnable game, the Bills as a team outgained the Browns and looked more confident, even in a loss.
  23. Best abstract description of a troll I have ever read...
